Ridiculously good job man. Top notch. Also the video quality is fantastic. Thanks for sharing all the details including the build pics. You incorporated so many great ideas in this build. Very inspiring.
Unbelievable project. I just got a bubble bobble quarter cade machine. Was my dream cab. Once I got it, I realized I would love to mod it with a better screen etc. But as soon as I saw it and how it was manufacture red I told myself I wanted to build my own.
That’s awesome! I like the detail you put in with the especially with the buttons. I own an original DK cab myself and those buttons are ridiculously high but it’s authentic! 11/10!
Super-Great Work! My first favourite arcade game since I was a child was Scramble (by Konami, 1981). I hope SO MUCH one day, to get a quarter scaled version of this one!
Hello Jamie, that Donkey Kong quarter scale is amazing. I would like to know if you could make one for me, just let me know the cost. I also have every Numskull release to date.
@@timebandit1266 Not sure if he can because of license - but wouldn't that be flipping awesome though. Wife would kill me, but I would still buy one ^_^
Man that’s great! I collect Arcade1ups but these are so cool and your donkey Kong is super. I can’t build anything on this level but I do try and do Halloween displays. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about building a shooting gallery for trick or treaters. I don’t have anyone to ask and from the looks of your skill level I have a feeling you would be a great help to my vision for the kids to enjoy.
You are very, very talented young man! I wish these were or would be available from Numbskull or heck you could make any game you want you could sell! Like a Tron maybe,SW Arcade? I ❤️ the video & enjoy your Donkey Kong!!!
Awesome work Jamie! Have you considered making anymore cabinets or doing some custom jobs and selling them? There are so many other great arcade games that I'm waiting to see if Num Skull and New Wave Toys release. My wish list of games: Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Rolling Thunder, Gauntlet, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, War Gods, Star Wars, etc. Thanx for the video!
I love it. My first three arcade games i ever played were pac man donkey kong and centipede. Due to multiple boards donkey kong was the best by far. Could you build one for me and what would it cost.
Thank you for sharing your inspiration and video. Couple of questions. Assuming you used 7mm momentary switches for the controls? Where did you find the orange button and what brand of switches are they? The dished tops look nice. Hard to see in the video. Did you use t-molding for the cabinet edging or did you just paint it? If t-mold, where did you find 3/16 t-mold?
Thanks for the kind comments. For the buttons, on this one I used some buttons I had in a box, believe they were from RadioShack originally but for my other DK builds I used custom 3D printed button bodies and sleeves and used sub micro switches from eBay. As for t-mounding, no it’s just painted, I’m still trying to find a source for that. Smallest I’ve found is like 1/4”
@@jamiemcshan thank you very much. Great job. I’m gathering parts now. I didn’t see how the bms board is wired in. I’m assuming it’s under the battery holder in your pic. Oh man, I'm grinning like an idiot. If only we were able to buy these from Numbskull as well. Amazing!
Super talented man...Numskull should have already reached out and offered you a position lol
Truely excellant craftsmanship.
I love that the control panel comes off to service, especially the magnets to hold it in. Genius move. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is insane, so well done sir!
Incredible. I don't think I've wanted anything so badly since I wanted the Kenner Millennium Falcon in 1979. Never got one :-/
Thanks Eric, I actually still have my Falcon from when I was a kid. It hangs in my office.

This should've been done instead of the Mario Game & Watch for Mario 35. The Game & Watch is pretty cool, but this would've been amazing.
Jamie, what size is the monitor ? have you got a site, with all the different dimensions of the build :)
Just this video, but the monitor is 5", it is a waveshare brand off Amazon.
Awesome!
Or maybe you could show a parts list or some kind of simple schematic?
I would pay $450.00 for one. Let me know if that is a possibility?
