    I saw this link on FB and had to come listen to this story. Thank you for this. I too have been with several families, as a peds OR nurse and in Labor and Delivery, and have seen death and experienced that with my families. It is so easy to slip into the stoic robotic being as a way the protect myself. It was what I did with my own family when my grandmother died. I will now remember your words and hearing your experience and try my best to create a beautiful death story for my patients and their families. Thank you❤️

    This is beautiful and so incredibly compassionate. I work with an EMT Program in California and I want our students to feel this....to know they can be the difference in a family's death story. Thank you for sharing!

    Sad i mourn for your loss. Ive seen many people die over the years, and it was precious when my husband died, his hand on my face i shall never forget.

    I took a picture of my dad's hand in mine on the day he died. I don't know why I did it either. He was riddled with cancer and didn't look at all like he used to but it was him and I needed a picture of him, I think.

    I loved this, so inspiring. I also lost my son and about to graduate from nursing school. I will carry this wisdom with me through my life and my career

    This "detached, finality" that we see death as is a mostly Western concept. We have so much to learn from other cultures in how they go through the death experience.
