This is one of the reasons I love photoshop so much. I had a very damaged photos of my Oma and me and was ableist to restore it. It's not perfect but then neither am I so it's ok!

This is what I believe photoshop is meant for! Digital restoring. Making photos look as they did once. This is so much more meaningful than its use on models and magazines, and on par with restoring old paintings, in my opinion.

it takes me about 20 minutes to fix old pictures and it takes about 15 to 20 to colorize them, it probably took about the same amount of time for the person who did this video

I can't imagine how happy the people are that get these photos back. Those memories shown in such a clear form, it lets you look at its content and not get distracted by the damage.
Am I the only one that was bothered when I noticed that one of the arms of the cross necklace she was wearing was removed as part of a tear? I'm not religious, so maybe I'm just nitpicky... 2:35

Wow. I wish you could fix my great-grandfather’s portrait. It’s very faded and has been mistreated by my time and folds, but I find it beautiful nonetheless. My beloved grandmother adored her father and all her stories about him showed how fond she was of him. He died in his eighties and she was only thirteen (yes, he had a child at a later age), so I never got to meet him. Now that my grandmother is gone, all I have left are my memories of the stories she told of him and the one picture. It’d be so nice to be able to see him without so many cracks and stains in the way.

I did the same Photo Shop restoration on my parents wedding photo and I went the next step and colorized it as well. I gave them an 8X10 of it to them for their 60th anniversary. They loved it.
