There is no evidence to suggest that ghee can make your hair grow quicker. However, keep in mind that hair that is healthier has stronger strands, which means less hair loss.
Ghee for hair growth: Ways to apply ghee for hair growth
1 teaspoon olive oil, one teaspoon aloe Vera gel, and 3-4 teaspoons of ghee and mix it. Apply this paste to your scalp and hair length, leave it on for 1-2 hours, and then shampoo that off with a mild shampoo.

Ayurvedic Doctors in India say we can take upto 1 tablespoon (3 tea spoon) of ghee if taken first thing in the morning empty stomach if you want to lose weight and plus strengthen joints etc. Night time is not recommended. Again, I dont know why the Doctors say that but thought I will share it with you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I get Swad brand at my local Indian food shop. It has a nice flavor and I get a 32 fluid ounce jar for about $14. I've also used Trader Joe's ghee, and that is a small jar for about $5 - don't remember the exact size, sorry.
If you have concerns about the source of the butter, you might want to consider making your own, but it is a very time consuming process and you have to be very careful not to scorch it. There are several videos on RUclips showing the process, and if you have a slow cooker or Instant Pot with a simmer setting it will help keep the temperature consistent. Otherwise, you might want to use a double boiler and just do small batches.
      Hope that helps you.☺️

Most brands labelled as pure ghee packed in Malaysia are in fact Vanaspatis i.e. partially hydrogenated RBD (Refined Bleached Deodorised) Palm Oil} with ghee colour and ghee flavour added. Australian and New Zealand pure butterghee/butterfat ghee/milkfat ghee/anhydrous milkfat/clarified butter/butteroil (all are different names for the same product i.e. minimum 99.7% milkfat extracted from fresh cow's milk, maximum 0.3% moisture) in consumer packs have not been exported to Malaysia for the last 20 years as these manufacturers found that they cannot compete with local palm oil industry which can produce vanaspati at one third the price but looks as good as pure ghee and customers cannot tell the difference. Local brand-holders supported by Malaysian Palm Oil bodies find that they can make much larger profit margins and therefore not willing to import consumer packs from Australia and New Zealand. These ANZ manufacturers more interested in selling 210kgs drums and 1000kgs tankers. These are industrial secrets only known to people in the industry. Most consumers in Malaysia not knowledgeable and experienced enough to tell the difference between a pure ghee constituting purely of milkfat and ghee made from vegetable oils/animal fats i.e hydrolysed pig lard/beef tallow/fish oil. Currently only manufacturers in Western Europe namely Holland/Belgium/Germany/Denmark/ Switzerland etc. are making consumer packs i.e. tins with net weight of 400-gms/800-gms/1.6-kgs/15-kgs who are mainly exporting the finished products to North Africa, Middle East, Bangladesh, Hong Kong. Macau, Taiwan and Fiji Islands. The last one of two consumers packs brands from Western Europe sold in Malaysia also no longer available as no local importer willing to take on duplicate ghee brands manufactured in Malaysia. Cost of importing on FCL of 15 metric tonnes can exceed RM600,000 whereas cost of manufacturing the same quantity locally may not exceed RM150,000 but can be sold off for RM600,000 easily under the guise of Pure Ghee.

Hallo Dr. Vivek, Your videos are always helpful, but I personally miss the opposites to the pros. I am sure if you mentioned the cons of some of the tips you give there you will not get so many questions; which unfortunately I see are not answered. Which is a shame, as they could help others, and therefore you will not see repetitive questions
A family member gets severe, painful heartburn, which repeats the whole day, when food is cooked with Ghee. Due to this I haven't tried frying with it, because I don't want the family member to suffer the whole day with heartburn. Other oils such as Rapseed oil when used for frying, or even as cold oil used for salads, causes heartburn. Even frying, low frying or basting, cooking with Ghee, margerine, coconut oil, causes such pains when the reflux of stomach acid, not only causes heartburn in the throat, but the acidity shoots, including the pain into the back of all the scalp and then the top of the scalp, almost into the eyeball. My question is why does this happen ? These painful refluxes do not occur when using sunflower and olive oil. I also use peanut and sesame oil,but only to cook quick -fry Chinese recipes. There is no repetition of the stomach acid flowing in the throat or direkt into the mouth , when using these. I hope you will answer my question. Therefore I thank you in advance for your advice. All the Best Regards M

As far as I know research couldn't find any link between consumed fats and fatty liver. But reducing carbs relieves fatty liver.

Pure quality Cow Ghee helps fatty liver if you take it empty stomach first thing in morning. Dont take ghee with carbohydrates or sugar, very bad for people with fatty liver. You can reverse your condition in a month. Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits and water. Walking also accelerates recovery. There is a special mudra for fatty liver called surya mudra, you need to do this mudra daily 10 minutes morning and night. Also, take Ayurvedic powder called "Asta Choorna" after every meal(basically 3 times daily) with hot water. This choorna contains natural herbs like pepper and helps heal fatty liver fast. All the best.

Make your own Ghee, then you know what you got. You choose the butter and the ingredients you want to add. Also in my opinion it is much cheaper than the store bought Ghee which I tries once and will not buy another jar.
