just a testament to how good jimmy chamberlain is.

Yeah, it’s way better with him and the replacement drummers couldn’t cut it. Not that this is a bad performance.

Can’t begin to describe how disappointed I was when, as a 14 year old, they played this modified version of Bullet. I was irate!

I saw them right after Jimmy left and I was pretty disappointed with that concert. It wasn’t the best venue, so the acoustics weren’t great, but the drummer played everything different.

I'd be furious if I was at that concert and they played "Thru The Eyes..." that way. What a waste! Love the studio version.

This version totally saps the dynamics out of the songs.

The Adore tour was a train wreck (obviously^) without Jimmy Chamberlin and the lingering effect OD death of Jonathan Melvoin and the passing of Billy's mother. D'arcy was also a mess at this point (nice outfit tho), and Corgan and Iha had checked out mentally. They were never really the same after.

It takes 3 drummers to replace Jimmy...

Sounds good still, but Chamberlin’s drum beat for this song compliments it significantly. I didn’t enjoy these tours as much as the prior ones, or the Arising Tour and afterwards.

I just watched his interview saying how hard it was playing in the middle of additional percussionists not playing in sync and trying to hold it down as the main drummer. He said Billy couldn’t even hear what the were playing.

I wish both of these versions of these two songs would make it back in their setlist now. Let Jimmy hire some additional percussionists and let him shine. These were the experimental Pumpkins who took chances and now, dance songs and drum machines that limit Jimmy because Billy wants a hit. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @simonharwood8488

Jimmy is the drummer AND all the additional percussion you could ever want. Dude's hands are everywhere.

@@simonharwood8488Jimmy by himself is better than these 3. The ending sounds like what he does by himself.

A very overrated band. There where some exceptions, but overall,, musically the 90's sucked. At least compared to the 60's, 70's and 80's.
