Nice! I just watched about 6 videos on this and you're the only one top stitching! Itll look so much nicer after being washed! 😁
Thanks!
Brenda 🌸
Turning the pattern into an acrylic template is pure genius! This video is so helpful! Can you do another one on making a dog shirt?
I used to make and sell bandanas for a local dog boutique shop. I found using true triangles to be easier. You fold in the points making sure that it is flush with the top and it seals in all the raw edges, so you can skip ironing, and sew down all the sides at once. The bulk at the top also helps it to lay flatter against the dog so you don't get as much of the crumpling.
Awesome tips. I was trying to stay within a fat quarter of fabric. Triangles take 22” cuts for my dog’s size which is too big for a fat quarter.
I wish I understood your simpler true triangle instructions...😢
I used to makr these years ago, but lost my patterns. Thank you so much for the patterns, like you, when i made them, i used 2 fabrics. I will have to get busy and make some for my 2 dogs, im thinking since i use 2 fabrics, i can make 6 for each of them, that way they have 1 for each month.
Thank You for sharing yourt time, and your talent with all of us.
Thank you for this great pattern and going slow enough so that you can pause it and keep up!
thank you for pattern! I was looking for a nice bandanna over collar and yours was the best :)
LOVED YOUR TUTORIAL. Helped so much to see you do it! Making some for a church bazaar!
So glad you went back to these kind of videos. I can't afford an embroidery machine and I've missed your videos
I still do embroidery as well but I always like to switch things up
@@LorrieNunemaker I'm glad
Me, too!
Love & missed these creative videos too💖thank you!
Awesome as usually I love the way you provide the pattern as well as the tutorial!! Thanks for going over and above 😊
I can't find the pattern?
So adorable!!
Darling and love that there is no choking hazard. Thanks Lorrie.
Thanks so very much for this! I’ve made Halloween, Thanksgiving nd Christmas for our babies and some for my daughter. I printed my patterns on card stock and laminated. Have great holidays!!!❤️
I guess you knew I was making these for the first time tomorrow, so thanks! Love this video as always.
This is exactly what I needed!! I wanted to make bandanas for my Gus in all different holiday patterns and wants to up my sewing skills. Double wammy! Thank you!!
This is awesome. Thanks for the free download Lorrie! Looking forward to make=ing these. I have so much extra fabric that would be perfect.
I'm going around the bend with the so obvious idea of using acrylic to make a more permanent pattern template! But I don't know where to go to find the acrylic or how to cut it. I have a Service Dog, and I want to make him a series of bandannas so that he has "work attire" for when he comes into the office with me, as well as some "party" attire, for going to the theatre, or concerts. I'm not very good at sewing but these instructions made me excited to get started! Please let me know how to go about setting up the acrylic template.
Thanks for sharing your pattern and your tips for making a very nice bandana.
Your tutorials are always so good
Such clear and precise instruction! Thank you!
Thanks for your tutorial and pattern. Can you confirm that the size medium has been drafted correctly? It is the same width as the large.
Thank you for such a clear and precise explanation and video. Your pups look exactly like mine. Twins?
Love the clear precise directions!! How did you cut the acrylic? And where did you get the cutting rotating mat?! Game changer!!
I have all the same questions!! Lol
Thank you ❤
I just made 2 for my 2 big dogs today. 💪 It was very easy.🙋🏼♀️
Love this! It was my first EVER sewing project in a machine way too advanced for me! You made it simple! One question, the bandana seems to bunch across that “middle” line. Ideas how to fix? I used a 4.0 length as you suggested. Not sure the tension maybe 4.5? Could it be done without that stitch? Thanks!
Great video! Plan on making lots of these for my 2 pooches!
Just made my first bandana and it came out so cute. I do have a question, I noticed that after a short time of my dog wearing his, it will start to bunch together on the side. Any suggestions on how to keep it tight
Fabulous video! So easy to follow
Where do you get your acrylic from, or how do you cut the acrylic, you use for your templates?
Oh goodness my Skye definitely needs one of these! And definitely plan to embroider it for her! I have seen these before but now watching your video I feel I need to make one or a few! 🥰
I’m curious about the tags you added in your bandanas. Are those something you buy or make? What do they display? Thanks!
Thanks, Lorrie. Great video and pattern.
Such a fantastic video! I would love to make this, but I don't know what kind of measurements I need to make. At the start of the video you used a paper to cut out the pattern, how can I find that it seems very helpful? Thank you!
Template is available in the description of the video
What type of fabric is used for the bandanas? A daughter bought one at a boutique shop and the fabric was much heavier than basic cotton material. It is nice because it stays where it's placed and doesn't move around. Thanks
Love your sewing videos! Thank you Lorrie :)
Great video! Thank you!
Thank You, they are Lovely.
LOVE your models!!
Thank you! I made two small ones for my Tibetan Spaniel and my English staffy puppy. The puppy is fine with it, the Tibetan Spaniel hated it!
How many bandanas can you get from each size like for instance a half yard or a yard? Trying to get the most bang for my buck :)
I love this method!! Thank you!!
How cute
When printing out the pattern what should we set printer to? 100%, original size? Shrink to fit? Or should we print in larger scale then 100%?
Love the video!! Thanks
You never want to resize it. Print at 100%- not fit to page or scaled
@@LorrieNunemaker thank you for the quick response! :)
This was the question I was looking for. When I go to print from the pdf it says 102% so I was wondering if it was meant like that. I will change to 100%. Thank you
Do you have an extra small template?
I can't wait to make some of these.
Just curious... Where would the tags go
Love making these.
Thanks
Great explanation!
Where do you get them cut in acrylic? 1:24
How do I get an acrylic template? They look very sturdy and I plan on making a lot of these.
How much Fabric did you ask for one side? is that the 14 inches if I wanted it for a medium dog?
Can I use the template to cut the fabric on a cricut maker? 😊
Looks great.
Thank you! I didn’t like the pattern that had a tiny little hem where the collar goes in. My sewing machine was eating the fabric!
Thanks. I just made 2. 4 more to go.
Do you sell the acrylic templates that your are using?
I noticed that my medium and large are coming out as the same width, is that because I did not cut these properly?
👍 love it
Can’t wait to make these🥰
Thank you so much for sharing! I want to start an Etsy shop making these. :) Does prewashing the fabric matter? I've heard people say to prewash cotton fabric but I don't know if it matters for dog bandanas or not. Have you had any experience with shrinkage?
How do you cut your templates out of acrylic??
I’d like to know as well.
i took my paper template to my local glass company. They cut the acrylic template for me.
How do you get the templates?
How do you keep the bandana from sliding down the collar and gathering under the neck?
Im looking for a good collar for a big dog since this one is thin on the video will it hold good ? Or which would you recommend?
I’m not comfortable Giving advice on the best dog collars. This video is for a decorative bandana. It’s not meant to serve as a collar.
Hello very good video! Where is the pattern? I can't find it. Thank you
Hi ..are willing to sell the acrylic patterns ..awesome tutorial as usual
would like to know how and where to purchase..thank you
How do you make the acrylic templates?
Cute, easy, and explained well! Thank you for the pattern and video!:)
Where do I get the acrylic? Thank you
Hi Lorrie, by any chance do you sell those acrylic templates for the bandanas?
I’m sorry. I don’t anymore
@@LorrieNunemaker Thanks for the quick reply. Bummer. I figured it was worth asking. 👍
Did anyone else have trouble opening the pattern ? When I download and try to open it says it is corrupt.
You say it’s a pdf but after I download it, it comes up as a zip. My Apple computer won’t open it.
I downloaded the the pdf and clicked on open file. It just went to the same page that shows to download
Where do you get them done in acrylic??
Thank you for doing thus
I make them in my glowforge
I cant download either, tried many times just keeps coming up to contact you Lorrie
When you get to the screen to download click download. Don’t click PayPal or Apple Pay. Just download
Today I made a reversible collar for one of my grand-dogs... Loved how it came out... would have liked to share it, but don't see an option to do so...
Oh and I have a great tip for you all! After printing and cutting out the pattern... I layed it down a piece of freezer paper and "re-cut" the pattern. folded my 2 fabrics as Lorrie demonstrated, ironed the freezer paper to the fabric and using my scissors to cut the 2 fabrics... I was too lazy to bother to go downstairs and retrieve my rotary cutter and mat.
where do I find the pdf pattern? please and thank you.
Unable to pay for pdf , getting error
Where did you get the acrylic template?
I can’t find the pattern
What was the name of the pencil you used on the bandana?
I think it's a Pilot Frixion
How do I get to pattern
Click link in video description then click download
Can not open your PDF on my IPAD?
Me either have tried repeatedly. Exhausted, ill have to find a different one. I really wanted this one
Where are the measurements and pattern?
As mentioned in the video the pattern can be found in the video description
