ThePruld has managed to transform the Lord of Sunlight and his proud knights into a dysfunctional family that keeps screaming at each other, and I am absolutely loving it.

I really love how the Nameless King still fits into DS1's art style. DS1's designs were a little different from DS3, but NK looks right at home next to Gwyn. Ironic, considering he's disowned.

It's very likely they deliberately designed the armour for Dark Souls 1's style by using the Altar of Sunlight as a base, then added age and other extraneous details (as said above, that bloody scarf) to make it fit with the sets from that time in Dark Souls 3. Considering he was Gwyn's literal firstborn, it would make sense that his dress sense would still be similar to his father; it's likely that he was inspired by Gwyn to dress like that, and kept that style as both a reminder to himself (his kind can still go through their own version of Hollowing) and because he wanted to show that he was still alive - stories about the Firstborn living would likely have reached his father's ears, especially if he still looked the same, possibly as a sort of taunt.

Italian Christmas seems so much more relaxing than it is with my family. Also love how much Gwyn seems to care for his family, despite his anger and bluster. Gwyndolin is an absolute family gem
