Being a life long Android user, a couple years ago I wanted to try iPhone and see what its like, so I got an iPhone 13. Pretty soon I realized I made a mistake, but it was an expensive phone so I would use it for years. Long story short, my 13 got stolen and now I'm back on Android, and couldn't be happier. Even whem my phone is a six yo Samsung S9!!!😅😊 Great video.
I agree 100%. Buy the Tech that works for you. I was an Apple Fan boy since the first IPHONE. Every Year until the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, then 3 then 4. I realized I wasn’t using half of the phones features. Meanwhile Cheap Phones got a whole lot better in every way. I couldn’t decide my next new phone after the Note 4 so I bought a very cheap $220 Moto. Play plus to hold me over while I decided. I liked the phone so much I kept it a year. I upgraded to the next MOTO G Plus and was using the Camera Wrist Twist and Shake for Torch light on a daily basis. In 2021 I bought the MOTO Edge and am still using it and it’s still like new and has never gotten buggy or slowed down same with the previous Motos. Samsungs were slow after a year and they were the top of the line phones. I restored them many times. I still get security updates on the Edge and am rocking the latest version of android. It’s what you really need. Over what you think you should have.
I have had no issues with my pixel phone and I like the fact that Google makes the OS and the hardware. I have had no issues migrating from one phone to another. I have had issues restoring a backup to the same phone and that seems to be a Google problem. I have had no problems restoring from WhatsApp and I don't care so much about restoring anything from telegram. The problem with Android is some apps can opt out of certain things being backed up and that is frustrating.
And if you choose to go from an S24 to a pixel 9, connect a cable between them, wait a few mins, everything is moved, all apps you had on the one are now on the other (aside from possibly the very specific Samsung device) no cloud needed.
4:47 The biggest reason I use android! I don't like my phone/computer telling me how to use them Also at 10:21 Freedom With android You can go with multiple different brands, and MOST IMPORTANT THING is every single brand/company has 3 different SEGMENT Unlike apple who only makes high end products With android, take Samsung for example They have Galaxy S series as their flagship, then A series for the middle end and M series for the low end Xiaomi has 3 brands; Xiaomi itself, Redmi and Poco If you already have a Samsung flagship and need a secondary phone but you don't want to spend your money on another high end phone and don't want to get another Samsung maybe because you want to try what other brand offers. You have a lot of choices Also every single android phone is highly costumisable You can change literally anything from the Theme, or you just want to change font, or just the icon, etc. You can do it Not only the looks, You can customise your phone all the way to the Operating System itself like installing a Custom ROM and run your phone with absolutely no google services I watch this video using my Poco X6 which is also my daily driver, for whatever reason I prefer this over my S23. I only use my S23 for banking apps, saving my passwords and storing important notes since it has KNOX and Secure Folder. I do my work using Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro and Windows Laptop. I also have a cheap Sony wireless headphone, Huawei Freebuds 5 and a random generic wireless keyboard. Every single one of them works flawlessly with every single one on my device. Except for the Windows PC of course, because Windows being Windows. They love messing up the drivers. :v
Also usually when watching a video like this I have yo give you props to switching to android and actually knowing about some developersl options and the no sensors but check out alternative and foss software fdroid (droidify) is cleaner and rooting a pixel and lawnchair and customize and check out one ii customization but also adb commands etc when you go the advanced size the customization options and control is limitless how to men has some great videos like beeaking down every setting in developer options
Every couple years I think I am going to move to Android but then I look at resale value. I can get twice as much for an iPhone vs Android, and if it wasn’t for that I would switch.
3:05 - 3:50 1st we have quick share between windows and android . Idk what software you used on your s24 to connect it with Mac but it's not 1st party. I guess some airdrop compatibility for android. 2nd It's quick share ( previously nearby share ) not what you said. I guess it's that 3rd party air drop compatibility protocol you used previously
@MadeByCrisYT what Software u used in 3:05 ? By the way if u use Mac with android, there's a nearby share port for Mac ( NearDrop ) that you can use. Google and Samsung recently combined their file transfer solutions under the name of Quick share. Previously Quick share only worked on Samsung devices but now it's cross platform platform. /// So open NearDrop on mac and Quick share on android to transfer files. /// On windows you can install official Samsung Quick share client from MS store and or Google's official Quick share client from their website. Or using Microsoft Phone link. Also another open source solution that I daily drive from KDE, KDE connect
You are right about everything you said in the video. with the way things are going with the new iPhones. because how many buttons do you need on a phone? I started out with android phones and over the years I have switched back and forward. So it's time for a change for me What's up Hanan
@@alexandruciordas4941 correct me if I'm wrong they're supposed to add a new button that will be used for the camera if I'm not mistaken that will be on the same side as the power button down towards the bottom of the phone this is for the new iPhone 16 models
The only con that ended up being a dealbreaker for me is that I use the AppleCard. Without an iOS device, I can’t use all the features of the card. If anyone knows a work around other than ditching the AppleCard, I’m all ears. Thanks!
I regret switching to iPhone, it's just been the antithesis of how I enjoyed Samsung, one, in my country imessage is not big, we use WhatsApp, same goes for Face time and Airdrop to some extent, so when you remove these three piliars, it becomes a really basic phone.
I’ve experienced the opposite. I went from the s22 ultra to the iPhone 15 pro max last year and I’m enjoying iOS far far more than I thought. Super polished, the animations are great, Face ID is amazing, live activities, video recording super impressive. I do not miss Samsung and won’t be getting back anytime soon, they’re packed with features that I honestly never used. If I do end up getting an Android in the future, it’ll probably be a Pixel out of curiosity.
From a corporate perspective I think the reason Androids are collectively viewed a "less safe" is for 3 main reasons: 1) unlocked boot loaders. 2) side loading apps. 3) Chinese made phones. These represent attack vectors that companies would rather not deal with. From personal experience corporate email is only allowed on iPhones and certain select Android devices.
From a corporate perspective, Samsung scores better specifically and they are considered more safe according to several defense and security organizations including NSA. Samsung's hardware level Knox security does not rely on any corporates for data protection and third party corporates can use that security service according to their needs. And, 1) Samsung Kernel is secured by Knox on hardware level hence bootloader is not unlocked and any unauthorized modification will disable the KNox security, clearing out all your personal info encrypted by Knox, so nobody has access to it if stolen. 2) Side loading depends on the user solely and the system does not allow any app to run APKs by themselves unless the authorization for the same is specifically given to it by the user. Moreover, a simple scanning will find out all the vulnerabilities which is not the case in iOS. 3) Samsung is Korean and like all the other manufacturers including Apple, their phones can be manufactured anywhere including China, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, Korea, US etc but that does not mean they are Chinese as R&D is done on their own country only just like Apple. Also , Samsung is a Hardware company that sells their hardware to all the other manufacturers. Android is considered "unsafe" collectively due to few reasons, 1) Cheap Chinese brands that charges small amount upfront for the hardware but will not waste a single second selling your ad data for targeted malicious ads 2) Still a misconception peddled by Apple users that open source framework is vulnerable and Apple is more secure In India, most of the corporate uses samsung phones only for work as they were rated highly by DISA in terms of security. Hope, I was able to clear out few of your misconceptions.
@@anonymoustroll1549 no misconceptions here. Both Google and Samsung fall under the “select Android devices” I mentioned that are are officially approved for use.

The s23 Ultra is a good phone. You will get updates to at least 2028 if I'm not mistaken. Furthermore, it's not loaded with all the AI crap these companies are trying to push onto everyone like the new s24 Ultra is. The s24 will receive seven years for updates. I've used both Android and Apple devices and I like both. However, Android's operating system is just flat out way better. It really isn't even close. More freedom to do what you want to do and you have so many companies that produce phones with Android on them. I mean you have the Google Pixel, the Motorola's of the world, the Samsung's, the Sony's, the Asus phones, the Nokia's, OnePlus, Nothing Phone, and the list goes on and on. You have choices! Which is something you do not have with Apple. Especially when they release the iPhone 16 with that Apple Intelligence crap they're going to be pushing. I say be bold. Try it. I personally think you will enjoy it.

FACT CHECK #2: "It's too complicated." This is a subjective assessment of course. You are correct that normal user doing very normal things, it's almost identical for Android and iOS. However, doing a "little bit more" ends up being much harder on Android. Setting up "power user features" on iOS is much easier because the ecosystem has it automatically and immediately configued. On Android you are lucky if it's only changing some settings, often it is also downloading some software and doing settings on multiple devices to get it working. This is just enough hassle that you can be sure you can't do the extra features with a new friend you meet at the party.
Also the part about the file transfer, on iPhone you can shoot a video directly on a usb drive.. so you only have problem how to copy it if you are dumb. Because you recorded to the phone, not directly to a separated drive what you can just give to your editor..
@@MadeByCrisYT Yeah thanks for asking, that's ANOTHER issue. At parties you don't even know what version of Android the other person has or what things were put in or taken out of the OS by the manufacturer. Which kills about 60% of the things that iOS people can just automagically do without even worrying about it. As a 2-phoner it's always 100% easier shooting something over to an iOS person. On Android I'm like, explaining to a drunk person to go in settings and find X, which might be organized differently based on their Android version, then OK I want you to download this utility, OK now, do this, and guess what... the moment is gone. Android just plain SUCKS

Pretty soon I realized I made a mistake, but it was an expensive phone so I would use it for years. Long story short, my 13 got stolen and now I'm back on Android, and couldn't be happier. Even whem my phone is a six yo Samsung S9!!!😅😊 Great video.
Galaxy X9 rocks I use mine in Dex mode on my 55" TV. Dex and a monitor is better than a smart TV
Finally, someone with some common sense!
5:50 apple don't make their hardware too. They buy screen for example from Samsung, camera from sonny maybe
You can never exhaust android tips & tricks on a Galaxy S24 Ultra
1:00 and you can download more secure OS like Graphene OS or paranoid os or something else
4:47 The biggest reason I use android!
I don't like my phone/computer telling me how to use them

With android You can go with multiple different brands, and MOST IMPORTANT THING is every single brand/company has 3 different SEGMENT
Unlike apple who only makes high end products
With android, take Samsung for example They have Galaxy S series as their flagship, then A series for the middle end and M series for the low end
Xiaomi has 3 brands; Xiaomi itself, Redmi and Poco
If you already have a Samsung flagship and need a secondary phone but you don't want to spend your money on another high end phone and don't want to get another Samsung maybe because you want to try what other brand offers. You have a lot of choices
Also every single android phone is highly costumisable
You can change literally anything from the Theme, or you just want to change font, or just the icon, etc. You can do it
Not only the looks, You can customise your phone all the way to the Operating System itself like installing a Custom ROM and run your phone with absolutely no google services
I watch this video using my Poco X6 which is also my daily driver, for whatever reason I prefer this over my S23.
Well said, and thank you for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it.
Will take a look at it, thanks!
Fair presentation unbiased well said
iOS system is annoying as anything. Android fits real world experiences
Every couple years I think I am going to move to Android but then I look at resale value. I can get twice as much for an iPhone vs Android, and if it wasn’t for that I would switch.
3:05 - 3:50
1st we have quick share between windows and android . Idk what software you used on your s24 to connect it with Mac but it's not 1st party. I guess some airdrop compatibility for android.
2nd It's quick share ( previously nearby share ) not what you said. I guess it's that 3rd party air drop compatibility protocol you used previously
I was trying to do it with the cable since it was 15 GB, and I've used Android File Transfer, which has never worked for me.
@MadeByCrisYT what Software u used in 3:05 ?
By the way if u use Mac with android, there's a nearby share port for Mac ( NearDrop ) that you can use.
Google and Samsung recently combined their file transfer solutions under the name of Quick share.
Previously Quick share only worked on Samsung devices but now it's cross platform platform.
///
So open NearDrop on mac and Quick share on android to transfer files.
///
On windows you can install official Samsung Quick share client from MS store and or Google's official Quick share client from their website.
Or using Microsoft Phone link.
Also another open source solution that I daily drive from KDE, KDE connect
You are right about everything you said in the video. with the way things are going with the new iPhones. because how many buttons do you need on a phone? I started out with android phones and over the years I have switched back and forward. So it's time for a change for me
What's up Hanan
wdym? the more buttons for quick actions are definitely better.
@@alexandruciordas4941 correct me if I'm wrong they're supposed to add a new button that will be used for the camera if I'm not mistaken that will be on the same side as the power button down towards the bottom of the phone this is for the new iPhone 16 models
@@payday873 thats great actually

The only con that ended up being a dealbreaker for me is that I use the AppleCard. Without an iOS device, I can’t use all the features of the card. If anyone knows a work around other than ditching the AppleCard, I’m all ears. Thanks!
Unfortunately I don't have a workaround for it 😕
Good video 🤌🏻
Im stuck with apple ive the watch airpods ipad and iphone. Too much stuff to replace for me. I couldnt afford it.
From a corporate perspective I think the reason Androids are collectively viewed a "less safe" is for 3 main reasons:
1) unlocked boot loaders.
2) side loading apps.
3) Chinese made phones.
These represent attack vectors that companies would rather not deal with. From personal experience corporate email is only allowed on iPhones and certain select Android devices.
This is a really good take!
From a corporate perspective, Samsung scores better specifically and they are considered more safe according to several defense and security organizations including NSA. Samsung's hardware level Knox security does not rely on any corporates for data protection and third party corporates can use that security service according to their needs. And,
1) Samsung Kernel is secured by Knox on hardware level hence bootloader is not unlocked and any unauthorized modification will disable the KNox security, clearing out all your personal info encrypted by Knox, so nobody has access to it if stolen.
Android is considered "unsafe" collectively due to few reasons,
1) Cheap Chinese brands that charges small amount upfront for the hardware but will not waste a single second selling your ad data for targeted malicious ads
2) Still a misconception peddled by Apple users that open source framework is vulnerable and Apple is more secure
In India, most of the corporate uses samsung phones only for work as they were rated highly by DISA in terms of security.
Hope, I was able to clear out few of your misconceptions.
@@anonymoustroll1549 no misconceptions here. Both Google and Samsung fall under the “select Android devices” I mentioned that are are officially approved for use.
Is it worth to switch to Google pixel 9 pro xl?
Yes it is. It's a very good phone
@@shomari17 in what way? I heard u cant do much customization on pixel 9 pro xl?
Not true
I liked the video and found it easy to follow, but the cuts between sentences were sometimes distracting
Thank you for the feedback!
android is more than samsung
who is this comment for?
I’m not making the switch, just using both my Pixel and iPhone-though the iPhone gets way more love 😂
Samsung Knights: calm down, stand down and stand by 😅
lol it's all love around here :)
As long as you're happy
I have the iPhone 13 n want to switch to Samsung galaxy s23 ultra but ppl said I would be stupid for it. What would you do??
Do what makes you happy. You're not stupid, and if your friends tell you so, maybe it's time to find new friends
😅
My thoughts exactly lol
If you care about camera (especially taking photos of moving subjects), be sure to try S23U for couple of days before buying it.
@@stevanb.2590 If she really cares about camera I'll say what Apple Mafia use to say years back when Androids had the best camera. Get a camera if pictures are that important to you. It'll will be better than any phone camera.
Amazing video
Thanks!
Do you know how I can transfer videos from android to mac?
I would say Google Drive is your savior.
3:58 isnt it called quick share??
I was doing it with a cable since it was 15 GB.
WhatsApp? Last time i switched to a new phone a couple of months ago, i iust used the app on the new phone to scan qr code on the old phone, and everything was transfered to the new one. Or something like that.
Were the two phones running the same operating system? If that's the case, it's very easy; if not, it's a nightmare.
@@MadeByCrisYT come to think of it, yeah. I didn't think of that.
Galaxy zflip 6 or Google pixel 9 pro xl ? Please suggest?
These are very different phones. What features do you need?
@@MadeByCrisYT different in what way? I had s24 ultra before and got tired of it..I use iPhone mainly, I like camera features and customization, and nice design , nice display, nice sound quality when paired with bluetooth headset ..I do ply games but not often ..
In this case, I would suggest the Google Pixel. The cameras are better than the Flip 6, and it is an overall better device.
@@MadeByCrisYT but I was previously using s24 ultra..just sold it…will this pixel better than my previous s24 ultra?
@@brucelin5842 Cris just answered your question bro, by what you mentioned, if i were Cris and saw what you were writen there i would recommend Google device too. Ive seen the review of Pixel 9, it is slightly better in battery life than s24, image taken from pixel 9 look more natural compare to s24, Google UI is more simplistic stock android experience compare to Samsung One UI, that's what i know. You have to be specific of what your 'getting' tired of from S24 so that we can give you recommendation
The best thing about Samsung, it's feature knox security. Once you use it, won't look back to iPhone or any other brand. 😉
Well said
on ios you cant just conect phone and pc and acess phone files on pc?
You need a third party app
Oh, hello Hanna! 😊😊
Hii Carla!
Still love my iPhone
More customization with android
FACT CHECK #2: "It's too complicated." This is a subjective assessment of course. You are correct that normal user doing very normal things, it's almost identical for Android and iOS. However, doing a "little bit more" ends up being much harder on Android. Setting up "power user features" on iOS is much easier because the ecosystem has it automatically and immediately configued. On Android you are lucky if it's only changing some settings, often it is also downloading some software and doing settings on multiple devices to get it working. This is just enough hassle that you can be sure you can't do the extra features with a new friend you meet at the party.
What version of Android have you been using?
@@MadeByCrisYT The version where if I want to send a text to my friend who doesn't have her phone with her, there's a 99% chance I have to walk her through 10 minutes of getting SMS on her other device, if she has an Android.
Whereas if she's on Apple ecosystem I literally do ZERO NOTHING except send her the message.
