    9:22 Where the hells he going?! 🤣 Great vid. I'm on about getting one of these as me first bike, either that or a used T120 or Sportster. Class bike for the coin!

      Cheers Chris, yeah it made me wonder where he was off, it's not like there's a lot around that area, lol, I don't think you'd go far wrong with either to be fare, Enfield's are as good now as they ever have been, they must have faith to give a 3 year warranty and 3 year road side assistance cover with each new bike, Thanks & RSM8.

    I absolutely love my Interceptor but I had to change the seat to the GT comfort version. Now it’s perfect! 😁

      Not had a problem with the seat yet, but I suppose it all depends on how long you ride in one session and lets face it we all different size ass's, lol, RSM8.

    Must ride one when my leg is better. They look stunning, sound great and seem to be right up my street. Got a Lextek on my himmy. Sounds great and very reasonably priced.

    Ref blipping on down change maybe because it has a slipper clutch, that he thought that. But the gearbox is superb.The little screen I think cleans up dirty air coming between the clocks. I think it works.I love mine, Glitter and Dust 2020 (Chrome with black stripe.) I did change the seat for the latest touring version.

      Cheers Buddy, yeah to be honest I blip mine now on the downshift, mainly because I forget as I also ride the Yamaha XV1900 and it sounds bloody awsome lol,
      I bought the Interceptor Downtown Drag whinch is the one with black wheels with stainless steel spokes, black fenders and a matt black and silver/gray tank, absolutley love it,
      I've been looking into the touring seat but I take the wife on the back and she quite likes the one thats on it, not sure how the one you've got is for a pillion, any advice is more than welcome buddy, thanks & RSM8.

    Just sold mine after 2yr. I.m 6ft 4 and was finding my bullet more comfy. Int is real sweet to 5k. And there is a bit of a kick above that. Sounds great as standard. 2and half to 5k tickles ur ears. Gets a little out of shape if you push it but it's great for intended purpose. Of course plenty folk waiting to take ur cash for suspension upgrades!!

    • @SkeggyCruiser
      @SkeggyCruiser  3 года назад

      Strange, mind you I'm 6' with a 32" inside leg so it feels great, although I feel I'm too big for my Bullet, having said that I changed the seat on my bullet for a Lycette saddle and it instantly became more comfortable over that standard memory foam seat, not a fan of that as it sent my arse numb after a while, Can't see me having any suspension upgrades but yes I know what ya mean, cheers Charlie, RSM8.

      @@SkeggyCruiser I was moving back and forth on seat. Wanting to unfold my legs but it was putting strain on my back. Age thing. Bullet for me is very comfy. Peg position is a big contributer I think. Spend an hour or 2 on interceptor then go on bullet. Loved the interceptor motor but I found I was.nt using it. Av height person should not have prob though. Great bike.

    I wonder how many people honour that 4K RPM limit.
    I think E10 will be the standard soon and it'll be a case of hunting out E5 if the bike can't use E10.
    Very odd to get rid of the black, considering some of the colour schemes they did keep.That orange paint is very nice though :-) Sod what anyone else thinks and don't tell me that orange is girly! :-D

      @SkeggyCruiser  3 года назад +1

      As I was only test riding I didn't really question it so haven't got a clue, but judging by what others have said it's more about the gearbox prefers to be just dropped down rather than blipped and dropped, all I can say is watch this space, I'm sure we can debunk it, lol, RSM8.

      @@SkeggyCruiser Having owned a Interceptor for over two years, I was unsure what they meant too.
      Until you said you'd ridden there on an RE 500, I wondered if it was because most modern bikes have very little 'flywheel' action, instead, rising and falling rapidly when blipped (the reason I hate Japanese fours). Did the dealer ralise you were used to older style engines? (RE have managed to build a thoroughly modern engine with the feel of a classic… but without the vibration).
      A friend who rode mine (who was a Japper four rider) commented on it when he rode it, saying it wasn't as noticeable as my old Harley or the (Meriden) Trumpet he'd had in his youth (which in their day were alwaysconsidered 'rev happy' compared to BSA, Norton and Matchy/AJS etc.twins).
      From my own experience, the 650 twin falls in between… enough flywheel to satisfy us old school Brit bike and V twin fans, but not as heavy as an old big single or twin from the past (The oriental, and Rotax etc. attempts at big single all feel 'wrong' because they too have light flywheels).
      I love mine… and if you get a chance to ride one on the well surfaced mountain roads in SW France, you'll find out just how good these bikes can be. Flexible enough to get away with the wrong gear on a hairpin bend, and with a frame which keeps you out of trouble if you've left the braking a little late. On even tighter, poorer surfaced 'nadgery' mountain roads, my Jap riding friends were fighting their bikes' tendency to break traction, bog down, or wheelie, on tight uphill bends. They were forever dancing on the gear lever or slipping the clutch, while my nice docile 650 romped ahead.
      The 650 was just as happy at 80 + mph on an autoroute, lane splitting with the commuter scooters etc. in the morning Béziers rush hour traffic, or bimbling along the lanes with a bunch of classic and vintage bikes (some from the 1920s) on a rideout with my brother's French club (he lives down there).

      @@chrisgraham5186 Wow! cheers Chris you left me an essay to read, lol, Yeah he saw what i'd gone there on as he was asked to give me a trade in value for when I got back from the ride, having ridden it and also owned old Triumph's BSA and AJS I think your probably right, although I didn't see any reason as to why in the end the test bike wasn't really blipped but the new one I've purchased as been and it doesn't really seem to mind either way, your so right the Harris frame is so forgiving and yet stiff enough to handle everything you throw at it, so far I'm still in the running in period so haven't been above 4000 rpm roll on Friday, 1st service day, I'm so pleased with the gearbox and clutch, such a pleasure to ride, and I agree it doesn't really matter if your not quite in the right gear she just seems to carry on pulling, engine breaking is good and brakes are excellent, good to hear the 650 showed ya mates what's what, lol, I used to love the inline jap 4 but not so much these days, strange how our riding styles and tastes change as we age, many thanks and RSMF.

    A properly tuned interceptor 650 will produce atleast 50% more power and torque than stock. And if you planning to go for the 865 big bores you can even squeeze 90horses out of this.

    • @SkeggyCruiser
      @SkeggyCruiser  3 года назад +1

      Yes I totally agree, however it would cost approximately 2.5k what with head, crank, header pipes, silencers and power commander, money I don't have, maybe push just a few more hp out of it with just air filter and pipes, thanks and RSM8.
