The story behind the Food Wars final arc/season is that the story was originally going to end with the Regiment De Cuisine but the publisher gave the creators more money to make another arc. That's why it feels so tacked on since everything was already resolved. Luckily you can ignore the last arc and literally miss nothing -- just skip right to the epilogue.
The first 4 seasons were creative in their cooking skills and recipe, the plot is also at its peak writing with saiba jouichiro as a focal point, antagonist also has a great goal in mind, but the final arc is lousy at its core, there's chief cooking wait chainsaw and a bomb, the only good thing foodwars final arc did was soma finally cooking for erina and surpassing his father
Prison School ended exactly when the anime ended, and I don't wanna hear some shit other than that (I've already lobotomized myself because of the manga). Such a masterpiece for a short story

To keep it real, I only clicked on this video because I saw fairy tail in the thumbnail. But you didn’t explain anything as to why the ending is bad? Sure it’s extremely fast paced but it ties up all the plot points left open by previous arcs nicely imo. As someone who finished reading fairy tail a couple weeks ago I don’t understand where you’re coming from so I’d like to hear more if you’re willing
That's an interesting opinion! A rare one I would say. Fairy Tail was top tier to me until a little bit after the time skip, the problem here is that by the ending, the author doesn't know what to do to clear things up. Zeref's defeat was rushed and bad executed, the plot armors are just blatant, and it's hard to feel any excitment on the finale. It's like there are no stakes at all. The ending was terrible but not disappointing, which makes me even crazier, cause as you follow the story, you can smell the tornado of shit approaching. That said, it's not a problem to like the ending of Fairy Tail, it's all a matter of taste, and in my case, I hate it lol
@@TheMangotaku Zeref’s defeat was one of my favorite moments of the end tbh. I might be biased because Zeref is probably one of my top 10 animanga antagonists but still, the way his contradictions started peering into his thoughts and natsu burning away his magic (which is something he’s shown to be able to do multiple times before) with the feelings of his family is symbolic because that’s what Zeref wanted but he couldn’t in his mind because of he loved his family they would die. All Zeref wanted was a family but he isolated himself from that familial feeling and he got knocked down by Natsu who has familial connections with him and then ultimately being defeated by the one person he allowed himself to love while being cursed was kind of beautiful in my opinion.
It makes thematic sense, but it’s stupid logically which is where some fans may or may not disconnect. Keep in mind, Zeref has like an infinite amount of magic. How Natsu was able to keep up with him at all and burn it all away makes no sense. If Zeref actually wanted to go through with his goal he could have just ran for the exit and finished things. Additionally, both Dimaria and Zeref have the ability to stop time. The final arc doesn’t really make sense at all because they could have just gone in, nabbed Mavis, then got out. This isn’t even mentioning the waves after waves of stupid powers and plot armor. Jacob’s weakness being a little bit of lewd with ladies is some of the most baby writing I have ever seen. If it doesn’t make you laugh then all it accomplishes is making you roll your eyes. Ultear somehow being young in between time also was never established as possible so she just saves Wendy and Shellia out of nowhere. Also Shellia doesn’t even have to deal with any real consequences because she just gains her magic back at the end of the season anyways. Makarov sacrifices himself only to be alive anyways. Juvia and Gray are tied together in a spell that only deactivates when one of them dies. Yet somehow Juvia is still alive when it deactivates and is just immediately healed by Wendy. All the Spriggan except Irene are pretty uninteresting as characters. Larcade’s magic being the way it is also is tone deaf for a war over the fate of Fairy Tail. The plot has gotten extremely repetitive. The amount of defend Fairy Tail arcs in the show is one too many, and the battles have weak animation and choreography. Although Manga art is pretty. The Wizard Saints are built up as these strong wizards yet accomplish literally nothing. They get wiped out and then Godserena is one shot. Yeah it’s to scale up Acnalogia, but they didn’t really have to do that since we already know how strong he is since all of Fairy Tail couldn’t do anything. END basically never paid off at all in the story. It never does any damage to anything or causes anyone harm. It feels like a waste of time. Zeref’s curse of contradiction is also one of the stupidest plot convenient abilities in fiction. It’s an excuse to kick in whenever the author feels like it to give away information or to not just win.
The biggest mistake Food Wars made is them winning the autumn selection. It basically ruined the best plot possibilities. By them losing the autumn selection, they may enter a time skip where they get stronger to enter BLUE to fight controlled Erina, 1st seat remach and most importantly Soma vs his dad in his prime form. The direction they took ruined it all the exitement. The 1st seat became fodder, there some incest since the Juichiro's "son" in the final arc liked Erina turned out to be her half-bro, and BLUE a supposed pretigous tournament reduced to be an underground arena. Sucks wasted potential.
Food wars should have ended with the season 4 ending like after season 4 I was like damn what a satisfying ending then season 5 came out and was completely not needed

It just feels different than the rest of the series, the last part of the story is just too rushed. So it is not that the ending is really bad, it is just underwhelming. It feels empty, it is hard to explain, but the ending made me feel... nothing lol (it's nowhere near the ones I focused on the video, but I don't like it)

There are some spoilers here and there, but I don't think you lose much of the experience of reading these mangas by your own, the important part is the beginning/middle of the stories. Sorry if I messed up your experience

My theory is that the author was just tired of the characters, it was terrible
