R.I.P. Stan, you'll be missed!
Respectable legend, you. The only kind of track racing I'd go watch in a heartbeat.
Great little film. Stan was passenger to my Uncle Eric-so it had special meaning for our family.
stan is a great bloke and tough as nails met stan a few times
Great film, many thanks. Stan was THE MAN - what a character! I saw him race in the past and I met him a few years ago at a show where he signed his book for me. A real gentleman RIP mate.
Joyous Lunacy is a true description of sidehacking regardless of racing or leisure. Thank you for the inspiration and agreed... “say yes... and sleep on it.” Rest In Peace Stan.
I love this old time documentaries.
Absolutely lovely person Stan. I meet him at Isle of man TT 2013 and had a nice chat with him.
Brilliant concept and production.
It's it's a shame that RUclips only lets you give videos like this one "thumbs up" ... awesome!
"no the hell with it, I want to ride motorcycles".... and who can argue with that!
Lovely man.. delightful.
I generally see him at the Stafford Classic Bike show, where he is usually on a stand. Just to say, he also published his biography, which I believe is how this film came about.?
Good film.
WF
Great Video, meet Stan on the Bus from Douglas Airport on Sunday the 1st June this year on his way into Douglas for the TT what a great guy aged 89!!!!
Nice that you had the chance to meet him!
Well done Stan - keep up the good work. We can never repay my parents generation for what they did for the world but today, 11th November, We Remember.
What a star and inspiration to us all!
Absolutely lovely.
Thank you so much for this Video!!! Inspiring to say the least.
Well done Stan the man!! ...Never grow up...Never grow old!! Way way too many people act their age nowadays and start acting as this stuffy society thinks they should. Brilliant to see someone who still has the eye of the Tiger!! and long long may you continue me old shellback!!
absolutely brilliant!
Fantastic!
simple heart, amazing stuff
glorious
full respect to the guy :)
Loved this! I think I have a crush on Stan!
Stan, you may not remember me but I am Tony the NHS driver. I loved your book and this video is an inspiration to me. Good on you mate.
May be 6 years too late but I just watched this again and asked stan, he still remembers
Read his book " Hold On " Amazing readning. He was also involved in the Blue Bird speedcar.
Good one.....
Always say yes!
**** 4 stars! Both my thumbs up!
balls of steel!
Looks like fun
I had seen sidecar cycles like that in Aah! My Goddess - The Movie, but did not know that they really existed. Really scary looking.
COOL STYLE!
I'd like to see the World Sidecar Championship introduce a new class consisting of a platform bolted to a bike, instead of the current unitary designs.
fab ! those were men ! :)
lovely documentary, but the formula one sounds at the beginning are a little out of place, i feel lol
Definitely... I was born in the year and in the wrong country =)
That takes b@&$ to be a passenger like that!!
When the world had real men
