- Hello and welcome Alaatin61! RUclips's collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and in depth look at the 2005 Volkswagen Passat. This version is the Highline with 140 HP.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video. Ikr, some people say that the B7 gen is better, but I like this B6 gen a lot more in terms of aesthetics.

Mine is Gasoline 2.0T Turbo, I would prefer the Diesel version, Anyhow. Have owned it for 9 months very reliable so far, when I received the car it had a CEL related to the turbo waste valve. about a month back I took a sort of long-distance trip probably 800-mile round trip, The car is magnificent freeway cruiser very little to no fatigue after the long trip.
This is my 3rd Passat previously owner a 1997 TDI it was totaled on ahead on accident, at the time it had just crossed the 300k mile mark
The 2nd one was 2003 we kept it for 2 years only.
We have owned VW's for the past 25 years with excellent results.

Buying a 2008 Passat 2.0T for my son this weekend.. it a lot of car for the price. The lines are classic and it aged well over the past 15 years.. 😊

are the models before 2008 very noisy? i have seen some complaints about that. also do passat at that age rust a lot? (im thinking of buying one myself soon) I dont really know much about these cars lol

Hey man I bought the same VW Passat 2006 with navigation and all yesterday but I couldn't find the auxiliary port in the car.It is not in the glovebox with 6 CD changer and not in the arm rest too.
Nice car, I'm buying the wagon. Some commentary wouldn't go amiss though.

I have the 2009 r-line 2.0 tdi manual, I think the interior looks better, more modern but I don’t have those trays near the hazard light button, mines also stealth mode, blacked out
Doesn’t have a built in satnav either

I have a 2004model it's the second Passat I've had I retired my old one at 230 thousand miles the 2004 model much like the old 40plus local 60 mpg at 2000revs at 70mph take 10mpg of that ? a bomb proof car part a reasonable easy to service

it is a special car, this has every future, garage door homelink 3 settings, solar sunroof to cool the interior in summer via sun energy, bi xenon headlights with cornerlights, half leather alcantara interior, DSG with shift pedals on steering wheel, electric sunshade at the back and sunshades in rear doors, tinted windows and more

These are exactly the only 2 major problems b5 and b6 model have. I have changed both, pump and all 4 injectors
Can you tell me more about the suspension.Does it have soft ride or a little bit on the firm sight? I do not know that is why I am asking. Really nice Passat.
i drive this passat now for 10 years and it is even more comfortable than a avantgarde Mercedes, the suspension is not stiff but it is very comfortable
When first got the car i had plenty of problems,engine broke loose,needed new flywheel and clutch also dashboard brake drove me mad,now thw car is fine no problems.
would you recommend this car?

Now i would recomend it but seeing as it was a one owner womans car i was very keen also the mileage was low, they are good cars and i would drive anywhere in it,you have to have them serviced by some one who knows what they are doing and not allways a maindealer who will rip you off,i go to a german guy and he is good.the trouble i had was all over the stupid dashboard brake,it failed and i did not know so i damaged the transmission by revving and getting mad when the brake would not release,to fix the brake a fiver,because i did not do it over a thousand. i love the car now. good luck,from dave

You can get a 2008/2009 for 5k now but you might not get the sunroof! Have your mechanic check it out first! The can get expensive to repair if you take to a dealer!

What are these wheels called?
17 inch Macau wheels original from factory. The color of the Passat is NightBlue and it is a Highline. This is a FULL Option Passat with even a Solar Sunroof. I sold it now i have a Bmw 525d M Sport F10 2011 model Carbonblack with Cognac Color leather

T Base If youre still looking at it, HELL YES i got one recently with 150k km on it and its the best ride ive ever had
Hm it really depends on how well it was maintained. Turbo cars need special mention so. Make sure it was well maintained and if it is then yea I think it should be fine. My is 2003 with 99, now it has 108k miles and it runs so good and has not given me any problems at all

I have a 2010 170bhp estate. Best way to use this type of car is to avoid short journeys as much as possible.

i own exact this model and interior but it's a 2.0 fsi, such a good car but unfortunately will have to make an expensive repair and i don't know yet if i'm selling or upgrade to the next generation
