I supported the veteran AI and tried to get it to talk to me about what I am rated for and denied for, it acts like it cant parse thru the claim letters. Is there something I am missing in that process?
Update just got my decision. despite have injuries to my lower extremities while in service and MRIs showing the injuries still affect me. I was denied for secondary service connection for my wrist condition that resulted from a fall. Please Reach out Clay if you can I am at a loss right now and Im really reeling here.
Stan the Rooster Man- made it to the end. Interesting info and wish I would have had all these things in my toolbox before my claim. Working on my appeal and sharpened my focus understanding how to tie secondary conditions to service-connected disabilities. I have even been able to help a few other guys at the Legion and my brother with things I have learned. All are Vietnam era guys, and their VSOs are not giving them good intel. I think they just don't want to put the work in maybe. My brother has had four different types of cancers, and all come back not service related. No family history on thyroid and testicular- Navy Heavy Equipment mechanic and worked in the shipyards and on the ships that transported Agent Orange and other toxins used. I had him outline his duty stations, exposures, exposure lengths (daily, once a month for example) and find a VSO or Vet Center that is willing to help. Thanks again for taking the time out to do this.
Stan the Rooster Man. I'm still waiting on my two Supplemental Claims to be decided on. Hopeful they will come back in my favoe this time. Appreciate all the time you spend spreading the word on this process.
Stan the RoosterMan!! Thank you for what you do Clay! Great content as always. I am going in for my second round of C&P exams on my first initial set of claims. The information will be used when I speak my evidence, thank you!!
I’m about to ETS out of Okinawa, I had my first ever c&p exams today. Those Japanese lady’s, were incredibly nice. They were initiative, I had so much anxiety going in. My blood pressure was crazy high. When they took it, after it was over. My blood pressure was totally normal. It was almost 3 hours long, for like 5 claims. Hoping ill get a rating I deserve. 🙏 I feel grateful to those nice nurses, and doctors.
Stan the rooster man. You listed 3 denial types. I actually had one come back as not service connected due to being predisposed to the condition due to genetics. Thanks for further info.
Stan the rooster man! I just got my claim submitted to my DAV VSO and I feel confident that I will get from 60-100% which I believe is my proper rating. Thanks for all of your help, Clay!
Have tou sean stan, atan the rooster man? Anothwr great video. Still fighting the good fight to be properly rated. Just unfortunate that every step feels like it atleast takes a month or a few months. But 1 day, we'll be there.
Stan the Rooster man. Thank you Clay. VeteranAI looks like a powerful tool. Do you have other videos on it or is this the first? I've been watching you as well as Jay for a while and I don't recall seeing it but maybe I just missed it somehow.
My VSO, DAV, has suggested I might want to have a look at increasing one of my ratings that I got back after I first retired. Getting 10% for degenerative changes of the cervical spine. My lower back has been slowly getting worse over the years. Matter of fact I keep a heating pad by my recliner for when it flairs up occasionally.
Thank you for your video; it has been a great help to me! The content is clear, and the steps are well-organized. I’m currently following your guidance step-by-step to prepare for the CP exam. However, I have a quick question: I’m participating in the SkillBridge program, and I was wondering if seeing a doctor during this time would be considered service-connected? I appreciate any insights you can provide!
Thanks Clay... I have to get with my VSO and explain that I was Stirring the poop for almost every day in Lebanon. Duh. . And. Drinking the water at Camp Lejune Double exposure
Hey Clay, love your videos and how you help brothers in need Do you have a link to a private question ? Perfectly fine if you haven't the time , keep yo the great work
Can a TERA event constitute deployment to a region. For example. I was deployed to the Persian Gulf the year 1988. Homeported in Manama, Bahrain. During this time we we exposed to war time events stemming from the Iran-Iraq War. One notable event was to go to General Quarters for chemical attack which we donned chemical masks for several hours. After I came back I have experienced the same medical symptoms, i.e. for one sinusitis. At this time it was common not to go to sickbay since it was considered nothing. It has blown up to something bad today. Can this be claimed as presumptive to service due to area of operation and timeframe/events?
StanTheRoosterMan has taught those roosters to interrupt during the most vital information. 😂 The headaches have been GREAT 😢 since I started all the new medications. Average 3-5 a week now.
My favorable rating stated my medical record is scant. I was denied lower back pain in 1993; however, my records is silent for 19 years regarding treatment for lower back pain. I went back to the doctor in 2012 and filed in 2023 for disability. The C&P examiner agrees with my doctor’s diagnosis but the VA denied my claim stating my records are scant.
Stan the rooster man! Is Stan a ginger? 😮 Great content, thanks for the help! Is using a VA doctor advisable vs PCP? It takes FOREVER to get into a PCP lately. Or should I find a NP or someone I can see more frequently?
I had sleep apnea connected with TERA rated at 100%! My C&P Dr (who just so happens to work for the VA) showed me in my medical records that from 1992 to 1996 I had respirator physicals that showed my oxygen levels in my blood low & carbon dioxide levels high. I was filing sleep apnea as a secondary condition, he told me it should be direct service connected. I guess it’s all about how the claim & evaluation is worded.
Hello Clay, 1. Can you use VeteranAI as a management tool for all open and closed claims? 2. Would you use it as opposed to that excel spreadsheet you created?
Stan the rooster man! Good info I have sc HBP, PTSD and now have been diagnosed with t2d and sleep apnea can these be considered secondary to either of the service connected (hbp, PTSD)
In terms of VA disability, you're going to want a diagnosis. Guarded isn't the worse thing but you see those in thinks like Fibro, GWS, etc. for undiagnosed illnesses. Poor prognosis is like, deathbed level stuff. Regardless, give me some context on this question in terms of VA disability. - Clay
I’m waiting on 4 decisions, 1 increase to rating changes, 1 sinusitis Presumptive and 2 supplementals. Should get me to 100. Working on it Brother Clay, be patient…….😅
Hello Clay, been looking for your video that you where in your car and I did my prayers as you requestedI am an OG as you said for those OT for me , and would like to get some info on FREQUENCY URINATION as you said that would be 40%? Really appreciate the help. GOD BLESS.
Stan the rooster man i was wondering if I could set up a 1 on 1 with you. The va has beat me down to where I just want to be done. But I don't want to give up but just need some guidance if possible
During my last c&p exam I directly asked for the as least as likely as not based on the medical evidence and history I have. Is this ok? Once that was done the examiner uploaded 10 DBQ C&P documents to my claim. What are your thoughts on that?
Update just got my decision. despite have injuries to my lower extremities while in service and MRIs showing the injuries still affect me. I was denied for secondary service connection for my wrist condition that resulted from a fall. Please Reach out Clay if you can I am at a loss right now and Im really reeling here.
I was discharged in 1991. I had surveillance of medical records for respiratory problems Isocyanate and Chromate and a testing form result in my claim file. I also had a form indicating exposure to Asbestos. I was treated for sinus infections (Sinusitis) , Rhinitis, and upper respiratory infections during service. I was diagnosed with Asthma in 2003. VA C&P examiner indicated NO for my TERA participation. And denied service connection for Asthma, Rhinitis, Sinusitis, and Sleep Apnea. Later I found orders in my records proving I was Hazardous Waste Custodian and another TERA memorandum form was filled out by someone indicating YES confirming I am a TERA participant. This same VA C&P examiner has done multiple DBQs for my claims and has always found a way to deny my claims even with obvious proof that it is at least as likely as not....... Believe it or not, contractors do a much better job than this VA C&P examiner, ......so far.
You can claim any condition that results in a chronic condition that stems from your time in military service. So the answer is yes but you need a chronic dx and yes, chronic pain the jaw is a disability but you’re going to need evidence. - Clay
Clay, I have a quick question, I do have a complaint for migraines during service and I also have a current diagnosis and nexus Letter. When it comes to the Migraines log, in what format do we submit it to the VA and when do we do that? At the CNP Exam?
How did you find the AME? What's the reason why you endorsed them? I ask because I am looking for a company to do a nexus letter for me for sleep apnea secondary to PTSD
My private doctor thinks constantly changing my migraine meds will change my anxiety/depression instead of referring me. Would Dr.Sharma be able to do diagnosis or do I need to find a private psychiatrist? Thanks just trying to get this help
Currently overseas, claims got denied less than one month before I went overseas for school. Kinda loss in the sauce, trying to find healthcare provider for my Supplmental and appeals. 😢
My question is about permanent & total. What are some of the common conditions that will be P&T? Along that line how many conditions do need to get P&T? Do they need to total 100% I'm at 90% I'm presently working on getting my sleep apnea Nexus letter i will be also submitting for my Heart conditions like A-Fib also have tachycardia
As far as flat feet and plantar fasciitis are concerned. I have both, spent 8 years in the infantry. I have a sc for an ankle injury that has caused me to have an altered gate the last 25 years. Is it best to file secondary to my ankle injury or seek SC due to my mos? I'm thinking about filing for flat feet as it's rated higher. Any thoughts
I just received a 20% rating for back and 20% for each leg for the numbness. Is it too soon to submit for an increase for my back if I just got my rating last month?

Yes. TERA isn’t time/location based as much as it’s your exposure to toxins.
