Doug: It will Keel
Ben: Well done
Strenght test guy: ERGH!!! ERGH!!! ERGH!!!
I would love to see a ERGH compilation!
Host: Your blade had suffered a catastrophic failure. I would like you to please leave the forge.
i think this is the first episode ive seen where both participants NAIL every test. awesome!
Beautiful arming sword. I think people generally dismiss arming swords as foolish toys but arming swords really are the perfect amalgamation of hundreds of years of western sword development. Even in the age of plate armor arming swords still had their place.
It will keel!
Also, hey look, both blades completely undamaged by the strength test! See, you absolute noobs, it's possible. Absolutely possible to make swords that are not only sharp but will stay sharp.
they are given different steels for each task. what's possible with one steel may be near to impossible with another. steels have different qualities, you know
@@user-sw7ln9ro7y yeah but in the final rounds they make their weapons at their own forges with whatever they want so at least the last portion is always a fair fight
Naw that wood was soft af.
If I were a medieval Merchant looking for something to carry in the city for protection I'd take that arming sword any day, that guy made a good quality product probably would have cost as much as a car today back when they were carrying swords lol
This is a really hard level
Both of them have done very well
This demonic smile when he says keel 😂🥶
Imagine if not for the design flaw in the Kopis' guard, how close of a judgement margin would that have been? Literally razor thin.
Can't believe they put that on RUclips
LMAO I was literally watching playlists of Greek weapons on youtube and now this is up! Thanks History!
A diamond sword can cut a barrel even without enchantments
Nonsense!! pickaxe are stronger than a diamond sword without enhancement
Thumb down for not showing the details of these swords
Wtf you guys are so cruel that young guy deserved to win more.
its handle couldnt pass the strength test
Where did the guy disappear too 😂
It will kiiiieeellll
We're is David
Is there any blade that won't keeel?
What happened to the other guy 😅
Is it just me or did anyone hear a moan at the beginning?
Sort of an unfair test huh
U knew he was going to win if just his blade held up becouse the other dude safe played it with his blade
I disagree his blade didn't make the cut
my kitchen knife will kill too...
if i stick something shard and pointy into a perso the person will most likely die^^
but will your kitchen knife KEEL?
Poor Piggy
The spins.......no
4:29
Him: "Dont put that on TV"
Editor: "I'm about to end this man's whole career"
The swiftness and balance of this blade makes clean cuts, perfect for turkey sandwiches.
But most importantly, it will keeeeeeellll
I got little bit hungry...
I've watched a lot of this and I have never seen a weapon not keel
The crossbow
John wick says a pencil will definitely keel
There are a few
Lol right? pretty much anything metal and swingable will keel
@@Batman11680 I think that whether or not it kills is just a preliminary point, as the test also tests how efficiently it can kill, how it holds up against tissue, and how effectively it can be used in combat to strike one vital to the next comfortably. You can often times tell who will win and lose during the Kill test just by the difference in performance on the pig/ballistics dummy.
One of the toughest strength tests in this show, but both blades totally survived. And both blades are beautiful. That kopis truly looks wicked.
Aaron is adorably energetic and cute. 😩❤️
Mr. Wick, your pencil... It will kill. Good job.
i swear Matt looks like he is Markipliers dad :)))
Razor close. Imagine if that guard weld had held up.
the kopis did not have that guard bar in history, so that is most likely why it lost.
@@loschain2224 That's definitely why. The guard bar was the most damage found between the two blades and therefore the deciding factor. That sucks even more because the kopis handle is designed to keep the hand snug and protected.
@Robertson Thirdly Yeah, the El Cid one where the winner drew mustard on his to make it look better
Kinda sad to see the blade that performed objectively better lose because of a problem on the guard. Really nice episode though.
Will it keeeel?
Yes it weeeel
It willl keeeel !
When do we get to watch them fight to the death with the weapons they made ):
When the Empire of Rome returns.
I love both of these swords A LOT, but they seem way to different to compare qualities of it.
The trick was that they were told what the tests would be, and they had to pick a sword they felt would be right for the tests.
Some would be better performers than others or less likely to be damaged, but all of the swords, if properly constructed and heat treated, would be able to pass all of the tests.
Well as it happens the judging was easy since one took more damage than the other.
*best episode till this DAY*
The bottom of your boat... will keel
Can’t believe they put that on TV
They were both quality items and clearly a lot of skill went into both.
"Don't put that on TV."
We won't do that... we'll just put it on the internet.
Why cut out the part where the judges give the reasons why they choose this and not that?
Looser threw a temper tantrum. Why they skipped the ending part where he was asked to put the wep on the table. etc.
Where did Aran went ?. He isn't in the announcement
hero on the reserve's seat I heard he disagreed with the judges and stormed off stage
@@simonodomhnaill9304
I never been on TV but when I do I keep calm and hold my tears
Random Name his weld broke loose on his handle
Noticed the same thing, as Simon says i was thinking about ragequit
Are you kidding me? Strength test? The way that thing came back off the barrel he’s lucky neither sword did break or he would be taking with half a sword in his eye. That has to be the most dangerous test they have done. And they say forging is dangerous. I’m going to buy a katana off wish and do a barrel test.
Why the Kopis did not win?
It was the better sword all round.
Why were they aloud to craft different weapons? I am not fond of this. Does anyone else agree? Different types of weapons of course have their own strengths and weaknesses. In my opinion, it is a true test if smiths are directed to construct the same weapon as they did in older episodes of the show.
Well yes and no, giving them more freedom means they could possibly do a better job and turn in a more signature weapon. Definitely makes things more interesting i think.
Doug's "It will kill" phrase for the swords is like what Rick from Pawn Stars feels when Rebecca comes in.
This was AWESOME!!!!!! Those blades were sooooooooo cool
Where is aran ?
The Kopis is so similar to the Philippines' Tabak or Bolo
There are a lot of swords that have the similar blade shape of the Kopis, and when you hold one, you know why. The sword’s blade is really well balanced and carry’s a lot of weight behind it so you really don’t have to put all you’re force into the chopping action.
It also tends to hit with the thickest part of the blade due to the weight distribution of the sword, it’s really effective energy wise.
I was routing for the kopis
There is 1 winner but 0 loser here.
To be fair, the arming sword is an objectively better weapon. It's just as good at cutting (IMO better in the hands of someone who knows proper technique) and MUCH better at thrusting. The kopis originally dates back to 5 BCE. The arming sword as the smith made here is similar to 13-15th century weapons making it literally hundreds of years more advanced in design.
Will sounded like a straight up Goblin in the beginning.
"Aaaalright Geeentlemen."
Albeit he's a bit eccentric anyway. Pivoting in Converse lol. Weirdo
Americans!....... what I love about your weapon is that you can fight multiple opponents. What multiple people are you going to fight with a sword?
The Greek kopis is the khukuri myan just with the different handle .I can't believe that thing its Same like the weapon used by the gurkhas army .
Is dough and actual martial artist? Find it difficult to belive that an expert martial artist would spin and turn his back towards the target. Unless he's just doing it for the camera
In a real fight the Greek chopping sword will be better to maneuver .the soldiers will to close to eachother .you need a smaller Gladius or sword
That should have been three out of three for the kids sword . The guy fudged those cuts on bamboo man purposely 🇺🇲
call it what it is- not a strength test but an abuse test....
I never understand when they say "Most importantly - your weapon will kill!" Is that a difficult qualification to pass?
I could sharpen a broom handle with a rock. That would kill.
This is true, but it still sounds awesome.
But will it do so with finesse? Style? A sense of brutality with respect to the weapon's history? If not, then it wont keeeeel
I've seen at least one that will not keal.
I'm very surprised the guy with tje arming sword won! At first I thought it was a totally unfair match-up as the armimg sword is more thin and delicate as the kopis and more of a thrusting weapon than a slashing weapon. But he came out on top and definitely deserves it!
who else came here for the it will keeell!..
If only the 2nd place is also got a bit of present from Forged in Fire.. i feel bad for those who was pretty close to the champion
Why does he always say it will keeel it didn’t bother me at first and now it’s just getting annoying and why does he bow after everytime to
They both made incredible blades.
Sometimes I think these strength tests are a bit unreasonable. I get testing the intent the weapon, but these swords weren’t meant to be used on solid barrels right???
Please do 2 blades more it's a great idea
Why did they not share on what basis they took the decision was it because of the weld breaking?
It will kill, that part gets me everytime xd
Does PETA knows about this show? Can we have a video of them reacting to this forged in fire series?
Overall sir you weapon "IT WILL KEEL"
Doug is one of the best part of this show in my opinion
This blade is sharp well balanced and it can slice up turkey for my sandwich but most importantly it will k i l l
Am i the only one who thinks that Matt looks like he is Markipliers dad?
2:06
Reaction: "......holy sh**"
Dough is adding a "e" to kill with each episode. It will keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel !
1:53 that's alota damage right there*
Were was the other participant when the announcement was made?
Very disappointing result :(
"Don't put that on TV" It's on RUclips!!! LMAO
#5
Keel, keel, eh-heh-heh, keel!
The guy wielding the weapons at the start reminds me of Rob schneiders character in 50 first dates idk
4:04 notice how the blonde guy vanished.reckon he made some drama that they had to cut him out?strange
On TV you do see that part. Aaron gets an explanation for why his Kopis did not make the cut. There's a piece of the handle that fell out. I think they said it's the guard or something non-critical. I was absolutely gobsmacked, people lose their entire blades and yet win the championship. To have come so far and lose at the very end. Sorry to see that.
It will keel
What if there was a stalemate then the opponents would fight to the death with there own weapons to claim victory 😂
I like it, use criminals to forge their own weapons, and fight to go forward to the next round .
@@EnglandsVoice spear would win 99% of time btw, just take long handle and put some piercing thing on end, done
@@favkisnexerade like a base ball bat with 6 inch nails in lol
Did Aaron lose because he rage quit?
So awesome! Love this show!
it cannot keeel me buddy. im the terminator
That dude was so close to split his face with that sword lol barrel test 🤣🤣🤣
I noticed that too
The other knife looked a lot like a kukri.
kukri kopis and falcata are very similar blades , one from nepal ,one from greece, one from the iberian peninsula
Kid lost coz of that stupid handle.
I love all this kinda stuff until i see a pig
It will keeeeeeeeeeellllllll
3:37 dang tootin
Cool 😎
Japanese katana the best one strike😎
Wow, jay did a strength test without complaining about his wrist? It’s a gosh darn miracle.
worst episode till this DAY
