Yes, the seriousness of the lyrics and the intensity of the music and it's just a massive snowball fight in a forest. One of my favorite videos showing that metalheads Don't always take themselves seriously
It was in fact an absolute banger. Those pinch harmonics are the tits. I would lose my shit like a shit collector with amnesia if I could dance to that live in concert
Dan Carle is a fucking beast in this song. I always say, fast is not always hard. It's nice on the bass drums but we need a nice and sludgy tempo on the snare to make true heavy music
Hey man, great review! These guys are from my home state, and friends of mine..im actually in this video! im the 'blue guy',dead at the beginning (1:26), the one screaming into the camera (2:36), and also the leader of the pack marching through the snow into the woods at 1:56!
Props to your reaction, brother! Little out of my league. I'm a child of the 70s and 80s but always willing to give your reaction videos a try. Whoever plays drums and lead guitar has got to be a couple of beasts due to the speed they're achieving playing their instruments! God bless, brother!
@@sexygorillanips7535 that's the best way to explain harsh vocals to people that don't get it. I mean sure the lyrics are important but it's really more like another instrument.
Collapse or lost in the static should be next. Little more accessible. It's a lot more technical than a lot of other things. Give them another shot. This stuff isn't really accessible out of the gate
I've been listening to After the burial again lately... all the time when I'm listening to a band someone ends up listening to them to. Great Reaction. Gibby.. also did you check out the new Asking Alexandria album? That pinch harmonic throughout the song is djent.. I think that this was a total masterpiece when it first came out, and Imo it still is.. Hopefully you don't give up on After the burial.. the vocals are amazing imo. I've been a fan of these guys since 2010. Archspire Is my favorite band, wish you'd give them a chance, but it would be to intense for you

The reason you may not have been in to it is because you do a lot of reactions to mediocre bands and don’t truly appreciate really musically talented bands like After the Burial. After the Burial is an extremely talented band. The way they can play these crazy off beat riffs seamlessly is awesome and apparently under appreciated. You definitely need to check out other songs by them.
They're doing pinch harmonics.
Also, I love how it's a serious war-like music video but it's just a snowball fight.

One of the greatest guitar riffs ever written in metal 🤘🔥

Those lil guitar “squeaks” are known as pinch harmonics haha

Don't think of the vocals as a lyrics but instead think of them as instruments. Once you get past that you never really go back.

Check out their song Aspiration. It’s much more melodically heavy.
That whole Rareform album in general! But yea, Aspiration is a fantastic song!
Laurentian ghosts or neo souls by them.
those pinch harmonics

Tastiest pinch harmonic riff I ever heard holy shitballs.
This song slays. Live is even better.
