This is definitely a keeper TayMarie! Wish he was staying here, but gnome he isn’t. Unfortunately he’s going to someone else. Nami says she wants one too! Beautifully carved Tay! 👍🏻🫶🏻
Amazing job! seeing it taking shape just makes me smile. From a block of wood to something that is beautiful and has an organic flow. You’re very talented.
Hay Marie here is your Frind from Germany, Franco! Ist a nice gnom! I wish you a happy new jear and above all health. You have to come to Germany in May. Holzkunst Scholz .
ha fair enough! i know what you mean though, we've had constant rain here and strong winds in parts, the field are like swamps! Thank you! x @@TayMarie23
I just did a few of gift gnomes for the family Christmas party but I like yours way better , your a awesome carver I’m very proud of you keep up the good work
Girl, you have talent and strength for these saws. I also have a carwing echo. You have a nice companion, unfortunately mine is no longer alive and I have two cats with me, but they don't like noise and run away when I start the saw. Greetings from Poland, Adam
Another great sculpture Tay. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas! ….and Nami got some treats and chew toys. All the best to you and your loved ones in the New Year! 👍👍👍
Beautiful work as usual! Thanks for being insightful and inspiring for a woodworker expanding my carving! I'm starting an 8ft trout carving, a mermaid figurehead for my pirate ship, and a new commission of a Tiger mascot carving! I'm super excited and definitely appreciate your videos!
Hehe da fühle ich mich so ein Bisschen in meine Kindheit zurück versetzt, das Märchen Schneewittchen und die sieben Zwerge aus der DDR. Wirklich eine super tolle Arbeit. Bin immer wieder begeistert. 😉
That is awesome. Hopefully you continue to video your work. It's amazing how you've progressed and improved in your work. Very inspirational. Keep it up.
I definitely plan to continue filming, I enjoy making the videos and documenting the process. I spend countless hours editing these videos and I believe it has helped me, sort of like how sport teams rewatch game footage to find flaws and improve! Happy New Year!
You are the "cats meow" so too speak...lolol When it comes to doing this U-tube channel... Your so darn talented... Well done young lady... well done...lol😊
Join all the fb carving groups, I have learned so much from being active in them! I struggle with blocking as well, it’s my least favorite stage of carving. I always joke around with caving friends that if they block I’ll finish their work 😂 it’s definitely tough and I spend a lot of time standing back just looking at the log trying to find my next cut, you are definitely not alone! Lots of practice and watching how others block will help 💛
That log was probably 75lbs, it wasn’t going anywhere even if I kicked it 😂 wet pine is very heavy! I use the motorcycle lift for the medium carvings, gets them up to a good height without me having to wrestle to lift them!
Been using mostly gas’s for awhile now, since last winter actually! Was having a hard time running carvings bars on the Oregon saw, they were overheating due to the open throttle on electric saws. But I just got a Stihl mse180c (small corded saw), used it yesterday for the first time with my 8” carving bar and it ran beautifully! So I’ll be using more electric here soon, especially when I want to hide from the wind and snow in my shack haha! Electric is wonderful but sometimes you need gas for that extra power!

I'm binge watching your videos. Ya know, I might try chain saw carving a mushroom. A mushroom looks to be not too intense.
Mushroom and trees are a great place to start and help you lean the basics!
@@TayMarie23 I finished my mushroom :-) ruclips.net/video/fAMrFIKG9UU/видео.html
