In 1985 I was the Corporate Research Director at Farm Journal magazine. Along with U of MO Economics Professor Abner Womack, we surveyed 500 farmers for their financials. After analyzing the data Abner said, half of these guys are "The Pillars of the Community," but they are broke.
Always loved the look of the 88 series

Very sad to hear a retired dairyman say he doesn’t miss the cows. They are what got him to where he is.
I’ve always liked the look of them 88 series although I only have green ones so far
Great video a very interesting story
Ryan we need a Farmall fanatic interview. Or just you two shootin the $hit
I own a mint 5488 in western ny state and a 3288
I have a 5488, it's been a great tractor.
Sweet 5088!!
Those were sweet tractors .. how close are we to another farm crisis? Will it ever happen again I wonder?
It'll only be a crisis for the little guys. The big guys will be the only ones able to get financing. The banks won't let their biggest customers fail
Another one will be great for guys looking to start up because land prices will be dirt cheap!
Everything I have ran that was Gehl was junk. Chopper wagons. Chopper. Mowers. Then we switched to all new Holland and H&S.
They were cheaply made. Gehl skid steers are pretty good tho
@@brandonwood1397 I hated the t- handle driving with one hand. Twist to turn....
