honestly, in my opinion mac was truly the definition of "i'm just a person" who was living life just as the rest of us explaining his struggles or achievements, or just his feelings. and i love it so much rip mac..

So glad you did this one. I grew up about 10 min from where Mac grew up, I was a little older than him tho. But when he passed the whole city felt it. What an incredible artist and human. Definitely proud of the impact a local kid had on so many people. That last song is one of them ones for sure. That beat is damn near perfection and Mac did his damn thing on it. I dont know why but the first time I heard mac in like 2009/2010 I wasnt a fan. Few years later I heard Faces randomly and since then he has been my absolute favorite artist. His larry lovestien album is gold! Facts I've felt meeting Mac or Curren$y would be the most.

The song placement for this Tiny Desk is extremely eerie, too. Small Words which is a song about the flaws and insecurities people have and fake drama people go through, then What's The Use which is a song about drug use, and then 2009 which is a reflection on Mac's life, almost like a eulogy.

Similar experience. I basically grew up with this guy through every project and single he released. Same age. Went through my dark times when he was going through his. He was doing so well and had nothing but potential and then he was gone.

Mac miller and his singing reminds me of chamillionaire. Neither are real vocalists artist but both can make a beautiful and original sound without having that natural talent. They do it better than anyone I can think of
I didn’t cry when my dad passed but I cried for Mac. By that time, he’d been saying goodbye for years. I couldn’t believe how hard that shit hit me.
