I think instead of in part relying on watching if the spectator turns around the card you can instead lift up the card and show them and as you come down with the card casually rotate the card as you put it back into the deck. If you are going to rely in part on watching the spectator I think the riffle shuffle brings unnecessary attention to the deck because of the sound.Better to just simply rotate. Totally my opinion though. I had seen this principle with just 4 aces but never imagined it could apply to an entire deck. Great trick! Genius as always! Can’t wait for next weeks trick!
Hi Nathan, thanks again for this excellent tutorial. I had 2 ideas though. 1) I think you can safely give the cards a riffle shuffle at the beginning without messing up your ordered section, and 2) you can ask your spectator to pick a number between 15 and 35 for the card selection.
Great man. This is insane!! 🔥 My brother who finds all the tricks I did, got fooled. And my father says I'm a thief looking at the card he is shuffling 😂. WAITING FOR MORE LIKE THIS AND I'M A NEW SUBSCRIBER! ❤️😊
I was following you along doing this and I also pulled a 7 of diamonds. To make matters even crazier after multiple shuffles a also flipped a Queen of spades at the 2:24 timestamp
I really like this! I think I would use a different selection technique personally, just because to me the dribble choice always feels too much like a force, even if it isn't. And the beauty of this trick is that there really is very little force needed. Thanks for the videos!
I loved this trick when I started. I use a cut force. "Cut off about half the cards. A few more or a few less is fine. Finish the cut. Take the top card." The best part of these simple tricks is each magician can adapt its performance to their personal style.
hi nathan. it was my birthday today and my family knew I had been practicing card magic. they wanted to see some tricks so i performed for them and they were amazed! (the portal trick got an amazing reaction) thanks for being such an awesome teacher :)
For the first minute of the video Nathan was really fast paced and doing everything really fast and I thought he stepped up his game. But lol then I realized I had 1.25x speed on from the last video
Good technique that can be used with any deck. But I prefer to use a Marked deck as it’s ready to go without any set-up and eliminates the things that can go wrong during the performance.
Great idea but I would just let them choose a card rather than do a dribble. I assumed you simply did a dribble force and already knew what the card was (which would be another way to do it) so I thought "Not a great trick" Knowing the secret now, opens many possibilities. Thank you!
Thankyou, but what if someone ask themselves to shuffle, my brother asked me that he wants to shuffle the cards and he got the trick, I was too upset 😢😭, ANY TIPS??
So what is your out if your attempt to force a middle card fails? Lots of people I mess around with doing magic tricks do really deep or really shallow cuts trying to mess the trick up.
what if the first asymmetrical card that you deal down is the spectator's card? You would think that's the way all the others are facing and you'd have no way of knowing
It’s unlikely that would happen after a lot of shuffling, but of course there is still a chance. If you first assume that they are facing up, and then deal through and find the next two are facing down, then you know the first card is the spectators card. I also don’t tend to stop exactly at their card, I’ll usually go 1 or 2 more just to be sure, and then I’ll go back and reveal it
