The whole family dynamic is ruined man Father favors the second child Mother sees that and starts to favor the older child Second child resents first child because he has all the mother’s love First child resents the second child because he has all the father’s love Father and mother will lose respect for one another Siblings will have no respect for one another This is a terrible terrible situation unbelievable
Emily John they will start to hate each other only because of their father If the father continues to do this I think the younger one will grow up arrogant and selfish and the oldest son will grow up with many heart wounds This is a very unheathly family just because of this psychopath I think the father is a psychopath As a parent you cant not love your own kids Disgusting
Giulia Ruiu I agree 100% I’m just saying what’s really sad is that the oldest will probably suffer and he never did anything wrong. I hope no one EVER has to get treated like this. ( I agree this dad is a psychopath )
Emily John regardless of how the child feels right now, if the father continues to act this way then the oldest will most probably feel resentment towards the second child. my comment was made on the basis of how the father NEEDS to stop his horrible behavior before the whole family goes into ruins.
She is a great mother, she can feel her first son's feeling. She is crying when she tells them the story of Jian. Jian didn't ask help from anyone, and just crying silently alone, but her mom speaks up for him. Jian takes the same pure heart as his mom.
"Do you want seo-an to be yelled at too?" _Instantly answers_ "No, I don't" *One day, this kid will be a much better dad than his own father will ever be*
I'm scared that the 2nd child will grow into manipulative and selfish person just because he knows that his father always defend him whatever is happening. A character that formed since childhood will be very hard to change, I hope that the father changes the way he raises his kids soon, it'll be nice for both children and maybe himself
yeah and the first one might end up bulling others to let out the anger because it already happened once where he hit another child. So sad how he's ruining both perfectly fine children.
He is young and even without such blatant favouritism kids still sometimes do this. However I do see if this continues how the 2nd child could become manipulative. But I'm also disappointed that no one pointed out the alternative, that even if this family stays together (doesn't get separated by divorce) he could lose all of them including his 2nd son. If the second son grows up well in spite of his dad he might resent him as well. For basically being emotionally violent with his brother and hurting him and in turn there mother and their grandmother. The younger brother might feel guilty for being born, or for taking their fathers love away from his older brother. And even if he doesn't he might not think its fair or right for his father to be this way. If this happens not only has he left both the kids with huge emotional scars to work through, he will truly have no one left.
The worse part is his mom was practically begging for his dad to love him back even if its just half of how much he loves his little brother. That's depressing af and is a nightmare for a child. Imagine having to beg for your husband to love one of your children...my dad is like that since i'm adopted and it's been 10 yrs since he last talked to me. When he cried and his dad was obviously just faking it that he was trying to hug him...you can tell it was an emotionless hug because a parent who sees their child crying would do two things only cry their heart out and hug their child or just try to hide tears so they'll seem strong but still try to comfort them. He doesn't care and the only thing that'll make him care is if his first born suddenly wakes up and does not love him anymore or worse something bad happens which i hope not but they say regrets are only felt when it's too late or almost too late. He'll learn his lesson when he realizes he is gonna lose his first born.
The part where Sunmi literally said that she wanted to raise him herself I have never related more like Jian is such a sweet boy how can his father ever neglect him like what???
He’s so amazing and respectful. He never blamed his dad nor brother for him getting this awful treatment. He even told his dad “ I’ll be a good boy too “ like wtf. Baby you did nothing wrong. I want Sunni to raise him bc wtf.
Yes, I'm happy the mom sees the problem and tries to actually takes action to change it! She could've put on a blind eye and pretend like there's nothing wrong, but she didn't and I can't be more grateful for that
Monster Fastclaw But The thing is, she isn’t trying hard enough. It’s probably all of the stress her husband put onto her that she can’t even sort out the situation.
Jian also doesn't act resentful against his father or brother, probably because of his mother's guidance. Although he has started to show rebellion at school which is a great cause for worry :(
The fact that Jian was still apologizing to his father when he did nothing wrong, and that he's taking it out on a kid at school because he's likely treated the same at home just makes me so much angrier at the father on top of everything else. I mean he's been doing it before Seo an was even born with him being sick as a kid and his father not thinking it to be worth it. What is going through his mind?
Not only that, but the father ended up making Seo-an spoiled! Even though Jian’s father loved Seo-an more, he still love his brother, which is a good thing. Jian is such a good kid...
Just like the husband said, hes from a certain district that is culturally different from how other people may traditionally raise their children, so he isn't 100% to blame.
I really scrolled through the comments to see if anyone else caught that. After the older son helped his brother sit he then sat down on the other side of his dad sitting on the edge closet, almost touching his dad and then his dad scooted his chair away to be closer to the younger son. That broke my heart.
The father didn't even looked at jian and comforted him when he was crying. I feel so bad for jian, he is a very sweet boy and if the father continues being like this I don't think jian will talk to him when he will grow up
@@Abcdefghij_1101 yes I know the feeling. My father don't live here with me and he lives in other place. So now I don't really miss him and its awkward to talk personal things with him
@@Abcdefghij_1101 well, if he doesn't change, I can guarantee it'll end up that way. I only prioritise my mum now. *happened to me irl. only diff is I'm a daughter. Also eldest*
This is exactly what happened to my brothers. My dad use to take good care of them but after my youngest sibling was born...he ignored them so now they don't want to talk to him. They get scared that he might yell or something. I have that problem too.
Yes.. I agree.. but if one day the older son become richest people and successful person I dont think he will favour his father.. this happen to ones to taiwan artist.. until now he never want to know about his father.. he only take care his mom only
At this age, Jian would still try to gain his father's love and attention, but very soon, probably 1 or 2 more years he will stop doing so, and thats when its too late. And that father can regret for his whole life. But I really hope he changes, because this kid deserves all the love
Exactly! I was the same with my narcissict mom, then i hit puberty And fight all the freaking time , as an adult i tried to Talk to her seriously on why she favor my useless brother instead of me, she told me i imaging everything... Can you believe that woman!!!! She call me crazy after all the years she Yell ay me for every little thing while my bother id just as her, a narcissict Who thinks the Word go around him .
Soooo AGREE with You. The father should prepare for the worst!!!!! This what You said is really happened! Maybe now Jian will still chase for His father's love, then puberty hit. Goodbye father! Maybe, Jian will not even think that He should be kind and chase His father's love anymore. I see this kind of things happened in the real life, the kid dont think that He/She need The father loves anymore. Well, the kid still a good kid tho. The kid has a very good life too... Since the kid is very independent and smart. It just the kid doesnt bother anymore about The father. and The father regret it when the father get old.

This is how children get depressed at such a young age. All he wants is to get accepted by his father. Get loved by his father. Get acknowledged by his father. This really broke my heart, I couldn’t stop crying.🙁
"Kids are so manipulative these days." I really want to slap the husband for this one line. I know kids can be manipulative but saying that about your son who you tries to gain your affection is really... I'm hoping we will see them again to see if he changed.
he does realize that the younger son is also a kid- right? even if he isn’t right now and is a baby he will eventually be one and that he himself was once a time one too LMAO
"Manipulative"....FOR WHAT? YOUR LOVE? WTF. If anything his father is the one being manipulative for constantly projecting his jealousy onto the child and pulling away from him. Jian's intentions are pure. His father's intentions are absolute selfish and crap.
When Jian said "I'll be a good boy, too" I lost it I started UGLY crying and it takes a lot for me to ugly cry. And if I'm being honest Jian deserves so much better if I was the wife I would honestly just get a divorce because if you can't love BOTH of my children then don't love any of them. (yes, ik that sounds harsh but it's just my opinion)
Agree, because living with someone like him is toxic, a kid growing up with a father like him will only bring him down and several their siblings relationship in the future.
I get your point but getting a divorce is not that easy in some of Asian countries compared to Western countries because they really value the family traditions. Getting a divorce here is not that common because it is showing that you failed with your marriage, that's why even tho some partners keep on fighting, they never take it to divorcing if there is still a solution for the problem. It's kind of like "Work things out first before deciding"~
@@shw77 honestly I relate to that so much, i would be fuming with anger and sadness. It would only cause me to cry harder. I hope the younger brother can realize something soon :(
It really broke my heart to see Jian crying. You could tell he was holding a lot of emotional distress. Kids regardless of what age can tell when you favor one sibling over the other especially when you treat the differently. I really hope Jian will get closer with his dad because It’ll be really sad if Jian grows up resenting both his dad and little brother. The dad really needs to try and make an effort to getting close with him.
This is how it was for me . my mom would come into the room. Not acknowledge us . wheres so and so..I mao i would wind her up by saying drop dead . and mention all my sisters names . she would say well i know your here. And i would reply . well you could acknowledge us first . then ask for her. Im 56 and still seeking approval from people. . this is..why i will always fight for kids to be happy .
even worse one of my cousin looks like him and seeing this makes me wanna go and hug jian and talk to him about shit .also jian is the same age as my cousin that i'm talking about so i'm like wtf.
It makes me sadder seeing how quietly he cries because that means he's always tried to hold it in. It hurts both emotionally AND physically in your chest to hold in negative feelings and the memories of both types of pain can stick for a very long time if a child starts doing that from a young age. I hope his dad really changes his attitude towards him and make him feel happier to be in this family.
Haruka 90 honestly!! I couldn’t hold my tears anymore, it hurt me to see him feel the need to tell his dad that he’ll be better when he wasn’t the one that needed to improve
I tried so hard not to cry but I couldn’t help it when Jian said he’d be a good boy too. I had a similar relationship with my father, and that feeling of loneliness and worthlessness is something you never ever forget.
i think i feel you well i have never though that it would be that much that my father hates me but i still like he doesn't like me that much .I'm 13. I'm the only daughter in 3 boys i have two older brothers and a twin brother. my dad is a bit old fashioned so he always thinks that girls have no use but do house chores and give birth i don't think we ever talk and if we did it would like i was talking to a wall he would hum and the ignore me. it makes me feel so sad,i was crying the whole video and crying in the writing of this comment if only my dad could change the way he treats ne just a bit
With all this, Jian is starting to fear his own father and with that fear, the resentment will come sooner or later. The only thing this kid wants, is the love of his father but if he continues like this, one of them will eventually cut off the relationship. Jian deserves to have a father who cares for him and i'm sorry to say this, but his father is an Asshole. He said he doesn't think it's wrong to favour the younger brother over him. He called his own son annoying, manipulative and dissapointing when it actually should we Jian, who should feel dissapointed and manipulated by his father. As a Dad, he completly failed his duty and it's gonna take a lot for him to change his mind and make up for what he did to his son...
Michelle Hawk yeah while watching this I actually kinda hoped the mother would be like I’m not gonna do this to my kid and you know cut him outa their lives even for the youngest that would be best in my opinion . The man is just horrible.what he does is neglect and only mentally retarded ppl don’t see their own fault to this extend. He was just happily telling everyone how much he hates his son that is just disgusting and wrong. Ps im sorry it kinda makes me mad😅
Michelle Hawk i know how jian feels... when i was a child my dad was always getting mad either coz of works or tired. I'm scared of him and the impact of this is now i become distance from him because of the awkwardness and we didn't really talk to each others ☹️
Michelle Hawk I study psychology and what u said can really do happen if nothing changes...I agree with your comment to 95%🙌🏼 This dad is a bad person but I think he didn't have two great parents either so I don't wanna judge him too fast.. Altho I feel like a liiiiittlle punch in his face, by accident ofcourse, wouldn't make me feel pity for him 😇
He didn't even bother to look at Ji-an when he was crying all over and instead the happy younger son. He is disgusting, toxic messed up brain. I hope Jian grows well in the future and get all the love he once missed.
he actually changed, he's trying his best to be a good father now, you should watch episode 400 to see them again ! Ji-an and his father have a much more healthy son and father relationship now! :D
I’m just watching this now and I’m dying to know if Jian has a better relationship with his dad. This episode is making me bawl my eyes out. This is so heartbreaking and hard to watch.
@@ella-ch7du maybe it’s 406? I searched the one the first person said, but haven’t looked at it, I’m just looking at thumbnail, cause I’m watching this video

† i been a fan of this show for a long time too and i don’t think i ever saw the audience showing so many reactions either, there was a girl bawling even
Lol yeah I noticed that too. Even the applaud for the father's introduction was downright pathetic and the jerk deserved it. I'm sure the guests and mc's made up most of the applause
Eventho it's not the baby's fault, i could see that the younger one will be a manipulative kid soon. He's tryin to act cute everytime he did not get attention.
Im sorry, but how could u say such a thing about a kid? Dont predict someone's future self please. Its gonna hurt them rlly bad bcuz this was what i'd been through, so i can understand. Growing up with ppl thinking that ur bad and manipulative, making u feel insecure af:)))
I think he's treating his son exactly the same way he was treated by his own father. This stuff propagates through generations until the circle is broken.
The fact that the dad was mostly FORCED to love his older son is so stupid and irritating. You don't love a person just because someone says so. Jian is such a kind and well-educated son, his little brother has been negatively influenced by that trash he calls father. I just don't see a reason as to why he has to treat one son like trash and the other one treasure. Yes, Soeun may have only one kidney and its understandable to pay morr attention to him but to stoop as low as to degrade your own child. It disgusts me.
Yeah even if one kid was born with just one kidney, parents should treat all of their kids fairly so that no one of them will get jealous. Thus making a mark on them so deeply ruins their family in the long run.
Areum it wasn’t FORCING, what they said is true just because his first born was born with one kidney doesn’t mean you have to love that person more cuz that shit just stupid af. I just wished the father wouldn’t regret later..
What really got me was when Jian was crying into his arm and his dad wouldn't even look at him. Seo-an was smiling, not knowing what was going on, and the dad was completely ignoring his crying older son to dote on his younger, laughing one. It was like watching two different tv channels at once. I'm not surprised Jian was acting out at school. I hope they got them both a psychiatrist to work through this.
@@ellysaidatrisanty1033 Seo an's manipulative and spoilt as a result of how his father treats Jian. But it's not the children's fault. It's because of the father that Jian is suffering and Seo An is acting like that.
The fact that Jian started crying when his grandma was talking about how even she believes her son is too hard on him. Also how he started crying when his dad actually said something nice to him:( poor kid, he must have so much weighing on him because of his dad. I really do hope Jian’s dad becomes more affectionate and loving with him. I do understand that the younger son is a little kid and may need more attention, but Jian is also a child too, he needs love as well.
when jian came out and had the brightest smile on his face even after all the shit he's been through, even took care of his little brother despite everything, i started sobbing... he's such a pure, shining soul and soon it'll be tarnished by his own father. i grew up with parents that favored my brother and that kind of trauma stays with you forever... i really, really hope jian will be okay.
Same here.. my mum loves my younger brother so dearly and i often feel left out since she always sided with him and also since i am older i was always blamed even thou it was him who started it. i do get angry at times and feel like this was unfair but seeing jian smiling so cheerfully when he enters i knew hes an angel. I hope the best for him and hopefully his dad will love them both equally.
Same happens to me. Me and my brother have a 6 years age gap, I'm turning 15 this year and he is 21 years old. I grew up being the culprit of everything, I don't have my parents attention at all and my brother is studying abroad so my parents pay more attention to him than to me, but I love them after all and I can't deny the fact that I am going to be traumatized. 😕💜
nebular I totally agree....my parents do pay attention to me...but they pay more attention to my sister’s life....they always ask her how her day goes and things like that....I’m the older one and when I do something wrong they pay attention....when I come downstairs no one notices so I myself quietly go back upstairs....but when my sister does something it gets noticed and when I do something great it’s just a simple nod and smile and that’s it.....because of this consistent behavior I have become super independent and know no one will take my side anyways...it really does stick with you everywhere you go....
I'd also like to commend the mother because if not for her taking care of Jian, I don't think he would grow up to be as sweet, considering how his father is treating him. He didn't even have any ill-will against Se-on (even taking care of him), probably because his mother makes sure to explain and fill in the misunderstandings as much as she could.
And when he said that he said that he didn’t want his brother to be yelled at just shows that Jian loves his brother and doesn’t want him to feel the same way he does 😭so heartbreaking
I've cried when ji an said "I'll be a good boy too"😭😭😭 We're all know that he depressed and been crying silently alone😢😢😢 the mom did the right decision to came here
This happens to my mom up until now. She was abuse and not loved by my Grandma almost as if my mom is not her own child. Now my mom takes care of her now that she's old and bed ridden and her favored other children doesn't even bother to take care of her.
my mom is like that too, she treat my grandma until now and others child (my mom siblings) just pretend didnt see and hear all my grandma distress at all. in the past my mom was raise by the other family and yeah i could say that grandma abandoned her. but i loved the way my mom takes her responsibility to grandma by came to our family. maybe god know the best🙏
You can already see how the youngest son tries to get attention whenever the attention goes to Jian...He's indeed such a cute baby but the way he's growing up is not promising
When the dad say jian is manipulative i think other way.. the youngest is the manipulative one.. i hate the dad when see jian cry but hia focus only on his second child..
Right, he's the golden child and the eldest is the scapegoat, golden children usually become very immature and narcissistic when they grow up while scapegoats become empaths (they can become narcs too)
This is the only episode to ever make me cry. Watching Jian break down and cling to his dad after getting that little piece of (unconvincing) affection was so difficult, I didn't even realize tears were streaming down my face until the episode ended. I really hope the dad DID change. Can we just take a moment and give major props to that mom, though? She actually stands up for her son and holds her husband responsible for his actions. That's rare in Korea, especially on this show. Usually, they make excuses or even takes the father's side. Not only does she not make excuses for him, she came ON THIS SHOW specifically to try to change the behavior and expose him. A+ Mommy right there.
Right he thinks that it’s his fault that he gets blamed at for stuff and he’s saying that so his dad can start to love him it’s so sad, from the start when the mom started crying I’ve been bawling my eyes out through the whole 30mins :( I hope the family is doing well not because that can affect jian in the long run
Dude this episode had me bawling like a big baby. My heart broke for Jian and seeing him hurting and crying made it worst. I hope his father changes and treats him with love and gives him some positive attention
I HAD NEVER CRIED SO MUCH WITH ONE OF THESE. Poor baby boy 💔 I hope the dad really changes his behaviour towards Jian. He doesn't deserve to grow up like this
Ugh!! My heart just shattered watching this💔💔I want to give Jian a hug. He’s so sweet and all he wants is for his father to care. I got emotional seeing him fall apart😢😢He doesn’t deserve to feel so alone. I hope that their family bond strengthens after this. His little brother is absolutely adorable by the way😍
25:15 "I will love and hug him more" Meanwhile kid is crying next to him and the dad doesn't look at him once, even when the guests point it out to him... unbelievable, what a rotten man
When Jian said that he will try to be a good boy, I just burst out crying. I watched this video 2 years ago and I still cry watching this. I hope his father has changed
When the younger sings her mom doesn't react...but she's all smile when her boy starts singing...she cried from beginning to end she felt really upset and bad for him...😭😭😭...when only 9 yr old starts crying in front of everyone the reason bcoz he felt that he's not loved enough by his dad...how his mother would've felt...it totally breaks my heart 😭 💔
I'm so sure just to look at Jian, he is so cute and he's not pretend to be cute, he acts normally but the younger one tries to be cute. His dad makes me feel likes the younger one was so fake. Eventhough both of them are cute in their own way, I have no emotion for the younger but smile when I see the older one. He just so so nice. My heart breaks when I heard he would try to be a good boy, he doesn't have to, he's already is
Gosh I cried so much towards the end seeing Jian crying, also breaks my heart when he said he trys his best to do things right and to make his father proud but then gets labeled as a "manimpulated and annoying son" by his OWN father, Jian deserve something better than this, he deserves love and attention from his dad.
Yeah, the dad is a piece of shit for sure. Poor Jian deserves much better. Glad the mum is there for him, but it's sad that the dad isn't supportive of him and Seo-an is a horrible little brother.
Even when the father favoured Seo an over Jian, as the older brother he still didn’t envy or resent Seo an and instead, you could see, when Seo an was singing, the love that he had for Seo an regardless of how unfairly he was treated. I’m not the one to cry so easily but no matter how hard I tried to hold it back I couldn’t help but cry for Jian, especially when he had his head down, probably trying to hide his face while crying too. How is the child so sweet? He’s so adorable! How can someone say that they’ve lost their appetite because of him?
I think it might have to do with the fact that Jian feels that good dad loves his brother because he is cute and he doesn't love him because he's not and the fact is that I think that just might be thinking "yeah this is inventible this should happen because I'm not as good as him." Which make me feel so bad for that's kid. 😭
This man doesn't deserve such a lovely innocent cutie child. What goes around comes around. He better be prepared cus sooner or later he's going to get hurt too.
Gosh I feel so bad for Jian. He’s nine (eight international age?) and he’s getting yelled at so often that he’s basically traumatized. Even if he ends up loving the younger one more because of the kidney thing, doesn’t mean he can treat the older one like that. Also, he has dimples!!! That’s so cute^^ and I don’t usually like children, but I still think this behavior is too extreme. This is definitely not the definition of “being strict” to your children. This is almost to the point of abuse tbh. (if not already) I hope the dad keeps his word and really does treat him better. It’s good that the mom came to hello counselor because if not, then this could’ve went on and it wouldn’t have ended well, I’m sure.
I know this is from 3 years ago but the fact that Jian still love and care for his little brother despite the unfair treatment speaks volume. He’s literally an angel. If his dad didn’t, then his mom raised him well
When Jian started crying, I couldn’t hold back my tears, he’s only nine years old, and his dad scolded him at such a age I think his dad should love him unconditionally either way, cute or not. You should never compare your child to another, it just isn’t right. Favoring a child isn’t something you could do. Kids have feelings too, and I think people should understand that more.
9 years old children already develop their own thinking, emotion and analyzing their own environment. If this unregretful father don't have a proper solution to build back the relationship, he will lost Jian..I kept cursing the father from the beginning!!!
Lmao imagine 10 years later Park Jian becomes a huge kpop star, and when people ask him about how he achieved his dreams and who supported him, he'll say, "only my mother".. Im just imagining lol.(wtf never thought people would agree with me lmao)
25:14 how are they all so composed with their tears bruh I’m balling my eyes out 😭😭 Jian is so cute and handsome and deserves so much more love from his dad and Seo-an is manipulative af haha
Jian is a literal angel. He didn't want his lil bro to be yelled at even though he gets yelled at all the time. He looked so happy and cheerful when Seo-an was singing. People have such great kids and yet mistreat them. Then once they hit puberty or grow up they wonder why their child has resentment or issues towards them.
Siblings ain't gonna have a good relationship if favoritism is explicitly shown. It'll bruise them both. I mean, how can unfairness starts inside the house. That's insane.
YES ! especially when they are quite young like the ones here. It is destructive to never really know why you were less favorited / was not good enough to be loved. It's sad really.
I still love my sister even tho it’s clear she’s the favourite, I mean my mum is quite oblivious of how she treats her compared to me but I choose not to let it bother me because I don’t want to have a distanced relationship with my sister.
@@al3xskng854 Me and my brother haven’t spoken complete sentences to each other for about 3 years now, it really sucks. I’m glad you’re trying to keep a good relationship with your sister, you’re a nice person
@@al3xskng854 same with me and my sister, I was the 'favourite' but its kind of different in our household. My nan favoured my sister and was well off so she would get my sister anything she wanted. My mum found that unfair on me so she brought me things (e.g, if my mum got candy, I would get 2-3 pieces and my sister would get 1 piece). My mum wasn't very well off and couldn't do much so I was grateful with even 1 bit of candy. My sister would always throw a fit over me getting an extra piece of candy compared to her and says I'm the favourite because of this. I'm the youngest and I have realised that its usually the youngest that gets favoured but IDK If I was the favourite or if my mother just found it unfair.
Jian...become a momma's boy, from now on. take care of your mom. it won't hurt and you'll be better than any guy out there. better than your father. sometimes... I think..there's no helping that kind of person. so its better to focus on yourself and your mom.. or your brother, if needed. its 2018 and he thinks like he's from 1950s.
yeah i agree, same thing happend to me when i was younger. so i just stopped wanting my father love and attention. and just focused on the people that actually did something for me "my mother" :D
You can't blame the youngest child , because he is still a baby he doesn't understand many things , maybe he acts like he's cute , it's because of his father's teachings . Keep strong Jian , we love you !
@@anathimpotulwana245 you cant really call a little kid manipulative, remember that kids REALLY like attention and thats probably it, but its hella unfair that the father gives so much attention to the youngest rather than sharing them equally
sorry for my comment, I was just angry at how the little kid made the older one take blame for his mistakes taking advantage of how his father dotes on him and it's not his fault
It's usually natural for children to want attention, I don't even understand why people here are hating on a kid for this. It's natural, and he's used to all the attention so that's why he feels awkward when it's diverted to his older brother. It's honestly the father's fault for everything
Yes that’s why I think the mother not even bother smiling at the youngest son singing or saying he is manipulative Is one of the reasons he is also trying so hard. I think the mother maybe feels bad giving the youngest a lot of affection as she is protective of jian so the youngest one wants to impress her. The father ofc carried most fault. I just can imagine the mother getting mad at the youngest for being as she said "manipulative" and consoles jian so he feels a bit „jealous“ which isn’t healthy for the family. There shouldn’t be any dividing
The part where they mention how the wife is scared that Jian won’t be talking with his dad as much anymore as he grows older because of this behavior....is so true....because I’m like that...as I grew older...conversations with my parents have gotten lower....it’s because I just gave up on having a full on conversation because of favoritism....I wish I could go and hug Jian
This is so truee. I came to the point that my heart is a stone. I dont like talking anymore with them. When they try to talk i'll just go with "ahh" then done. They said that i am so peaceful in nature but little they did know that i dont like talking with them because they favored a lot on my siblings. Their financial support is already enough and i dont need their love.
My heart hurt watching Jian crying alone when they talking about how bad his treat him 😢 He is just 9 years old but he understands his father not loving him, he is so painful and sad OMG 😣 Thank for mother for always understand and beside Jian 😥
He doesn't realize how blessed he is to have two beautiful children who want to love him. He has no clue. That's heartbreaking and silly. He's an adult. They aren't. Gosh. I am bawling.
This whole interview made me cry. How can a dad do this to his elder son. I mean I have an elder brother too but we get loved equally. And now I am in standard 6 and he is in 8
Yup. I'm as worried for Jian's well being as I am for her, too. Imagine thinking you married a great man, and this is the type of person you find out you're "stuck" with, as the father of your children... :(
It's hard to say as this show is pretty edited, I don't think the father is as distant from the older boy as they make it appear (but we can clearly see that their is an issue) due to the editing we might not be seeing a full picture with the mom.
I honestly feel like the younger son will grow up to have sociopathic tendencies. He knows that whenever he acts "cute", he can get whatever he wants. I really wish his dad would stop being so full of shit and discipline him before he learns how to manipulate people into giving him what he wants. Also when the mom was crying my heart literally broke..
@@di9403 he'll act cute until he grows up.. Cause I'm like that.. My parents and other elders baby talk me.. And now, I hate my voice cause it changes into this high pitch shit and I can't control it.. People called me "childish" or PABEBE (in our language) so yeah.. I want to change, but it still comes out.. Especially when I talk to people older than me... So yeah.. She could be right, and could be wrong.. That's up to you.. I just wanted to say that it could also affect his attitude he grows up.
i know this is an old comment but it's not logical to think that this would cause him to become a sociopath/have tendencies. sociopaths usually develop due to traumatic experiences, not doting ones. assuming that this would make him manipulative, having one common trait isn't equivalent to having sociopathic tendencies. that's like saying confidence = narcissistic tendency or anger issues = future murderer. i think this experience would make him entitled more than manipulative.
@@di9403 even 2 year olds can be manipulative. I watched an old vid of my brother and I and it was really surprising. (he was almost 3 and i was 1 btw).
Just realized this vid was from 3 years ago... it means this year Jian in his tween already. I really hope Jian is fine and happy....the father is a toxic dad, and what he did is a mental and verbal abuse. No one in this world asked to be born. Parents want them, so please be the responsible ones.
For the people who are worried they are doing great now. They both have made an amazing bond with each other. In episode 400 they showed selfies of them and Jian looked so happy. They also said he became a child actor and his dad is so proud of him and loves him alot.
Dont blame jian for resenting you all his life and sending you to nursing home instead of taking care of you. Dont blame him if he leave you because you eat too slow when u get older. Such a horrible dad omg i would have divorce u if i was the wife😡
But i don't think jian is that heartless. You see even though his younger bro got all the attention from their dad he still love his younger bro as well as his dad.
@@anonymoushere7862 there’s a 0% chance he won’t explode in the future, he’s really young right now. if I had parents like them I’d just cut them off and wouldn’t even send them to a nursing home, if they didn’t have enough money they would have to work no matter how old/how sick they are (or get government assistance)
As a father, I am not just heartbroken hearing his unfounded and useless reasoning but furious as well. How can a father treat his eldest son that way. His very own flesh and blood. The children do not ask the parents to be born in this world. It is the choice of the parents to have them. Therefore, it is the their solemn responsibility to nurture them, care for them, and protect them in any way possible. We may have distinct culture, have different ways of bringing up our offsprings but when it comes to parental love, I guess we are on the same mindset. I really felt sorry to the eldest son. He is such a well-mannered kid.
It’s heartbreaking knowing that Jian loves seo-an even when he is treated unfairly. I found Jians cuteness more cute because he looked innocent while seo-an had the face of “I know I’m cute”he is cute but it’s really unfair
but.....that's cause seo-an is a baby, he doesn't even know wtf is going on all he thinking about is "baby shark", ya'll rlly makin a baby out to be a sociopath you do realise all babies are this "manipulative", my baby cousin is the devil himself if you think this is manipulative lol
There is no excuse for such bad parenting. Jian didn't ask to be born to such a man. Remember the younger son might not last long on this earth, but the one son he mistreated may be the one that takes care of him in his old age.
Cassandra Kemara tbh not true my parents favour the eldest the most im the youngest and the eldest always always get favoured no matter what. it comes in ranking like my eldest brother followed by my sister since she is the only girl and thn me and my twin brother
when they said it made sense, they probably meant that “ah, so theres a big reason why he dotes on the younger one on an extra level”. you’re merely assuming their thoughts, when they absolutely did not speak up on whatever you just mentioned.
Ikr, I'm like: fine the father can care about the younger son more, but how does abusing the child (even when he knows the younger son is at fault) make sense???
Once jian said " I'll be a good boy too" I started bawling my eyes out. I be never cried this hard, this dad need to learn how love his children equally!!
And the fact that he said the kids these days were manipulative was just insulting. I started crying cause 1) i am a teenager and 2) thats your fucking child. I mean, sure your youngest was born with one kidney but like that doesnt give you the excuse to treat your eldest like a fucking stranger.
And the fact that he said the kids these days were manipulative was just insulting. I started crying cause 1) i am a teenager and 2) thats your fucking child. I mean, sure your youngest was born with one kidney but like that doesnt give you the excuse to treat your eldest like a fucking stranger.
HE'S ALREADY A GOOD BOY! I feel so sad that this kid, at a very young age, thinks that he's not good enough!! Im so frustrated, no child deserve this. I started crying my eyes out when he said that. Its midnight and my eyes are swollen. Seriously, I want to hug that kid and tell him that he's a good kid and he did nothing wrong.
I'll never get how the people in the audience are able to control themselves and not at least throw a shoe or something... I could literally feel the hatred everyone had for this man from the screen. I've been in this situation myself for a few years but good lord, its never been this extreme.
Daylah Myrick I wish they had a segment for the audience where they can voice their opinions on what they’re hearing Because if that did exist, I would’ve been cursing all over the place to that dad
ikr and its so weird how your son is an arm’s length away from you crying his eyes out, but you can just sit there and do nothing??? like UR A GROWN MAN HES YOUR CHILD PLEASE HUG HIM LOVE HIM PLEASE OMG MY HEART HUrts
The father got jealous bcuz Jian got the attention after they got married?! DUDE U R THE ONE WHO MADE HER PREGNANT N SHE'S BEING A RESPONSIBLE MOTHER TAKING CARE IF THE CHILD UNLIKE U!!! The father really don't deserve to be a dad...
Looking at Jian, i can understand how much love he needs from his father, which is obvious he's supposed to get it. After all, Jian is just a 9-year kid, and he's actually very mature for his age. Hoping that his father will love and take care for him more cz he deserves for all.
They've been at this for years and they've seen some pretty vexing things. There was a guy who thought he could do whatever he wanted because his guardian angel would always protect him so the guy drove at night without the headlights on a road by the seaside (wife said the road was a bit dangerous because it was on the cliffs and had sharp turns). The wife decided enough was enough and turned on the headlights and they were about to hit the side of the cliff because it was a sharp turn. Husband said the angel made his wife turn on the lights.
the mother doesn't favor the oldest, in actual fact, I feel the mother was looking into the future and feeling the pain that the son was feeling. It is not correct to dislike a child just because you couldn't have your ”honeymoon”, you give the seed to create that child and after finding out you still made the decision to keep the child. It disgusts me to see how the father has no solid reason to dislike the child ( which in my opinion he needs to love his children equally ), the mother sent her issue to the show because I feel she has no power to convince the husband. She wants her son to not be afraid of his father or feel like his worthless to father. This is my opinion on the matter and how I felt since I am the oldest child and a girl so I have and still experience this every day 😂
Alexandria Gwaidza i feel the same before. As the eldest and the only girl in the family,my mother actually favor my lil brother. What ever he does, she love it and always give full attention to him.i once dint spoke to my,other for 4 month and even think about killing my self. However i was lucky that i have a wonderful father. When i grown up, the distance between me and my mom growths greater. But after my father pass away and my bro got married first, we started to talk back. Now she was my best friend. We still fight, but i love her more now.

The whole family dynamic is ruined man
Father favors the second child
Mother sees that and starts to favor the older child
Second child resents first child because he has all the mother’s love
First child resents the second child because he has all the father’s love
Father and mother will lose respect for one another
Siblings will have no respect for one another
This is a terrible terrible situation unbelievable
Q Q actually the first child doesn’t hate the second child he just feels isolated from his fathers love
@Emily John I agree, and it's very depressing, poor baby..
Emily John they will start to hate each other only because of their father
If the father continues to do this I think the younger one will grow up arrogant and selfish and the oldest son will grow up with many heart wounds
This is a very unheathly family just because of this psychopath
I think the father is a psychopath
As a parent you cant not love your own kids
Disgusting
I felt Jian's pain through his mother :( So sad to witness one of your precious sons being mistreated by his own father.
Yeah, and I think he probably cried his eyes put to his mom every night about this
"Do you want seo-an to be yelled at too?"

"No, I don't"
*One day, this kid will be a much better dad than his own father will ever be*

@@gen.dh7 the whole video did..
So true!!
Like how hinata and hanabi early in the narutoverse

I get your point but getting a divorce is not that easy in some of Asian countries compared to Western countries because they really value the family traditions. Getting a divorce here is not that common because it is showing that you failed with your marriage, that's why even tho some partners keep on fighting, they never take it to divorcing if there is still a solution for the problem. That’s what I’m thinking. I was hoping they would ask
Exactly, this cycle never ends unless they divorce and go their separate ways :/

What really got me was when Jian was crying into his arm and his dad wouldn't even look at him. It was like watching two different tv channels at once. I'm not surprised Jian was acting out at school. I hope they got them both a psychiatrist to work through this.

Yea , he's more obedient actually
when jian came out and had the brightest smile on his face even after all the shit he's been through, even took care of his little brother despite everything, i started sobbing... he's such a pure, shining soul and soon it'll be tarnished by his own father. i grew up with parents that favored my brother and that kind of trauma stays with you forever... i really, really hope jian will be okay.
Same here.. my mum loves my younger brother so dearly and i often feel left out since she always sided with him and also since i am older i was always blamed even thou it was him who started it. i do get angry at times and feel like this was unfair but seeing jian smiling so cheerfully when he enters i knew hes an angel.

Can we just take a moment and give major props to that mom, though? She actually stands up for her son and holds her husband responsible for his actions. How is the child so sweet? He’s so adorable! How can someone say that they’ve lost their appetite because of him?
I think it might have to do with the fact that Jian feels that good dad loves his brother because he is cute and he doesn't love him because he's not and the fact is that I think that just might be thinking "yeah this is inventible this should happen because I'm not as good as him."

I think his dad should love him unconditionally either way, cute or not.

That's insane.

sorry for my comment, I was just angry at how the little kid made the older one take blame for his mistakes taking advantage of how his father dotes on him and it's not his fault
It's usually natural for children to want attention, I don't even understand why people here are hating on a kid for this. It's natural, and he's used to all the attention so that's why he feels awkward when it's diverted to his older brother. It's honestly the father's fault for everything
@@shahidaafzal1247 AGREED

I am not quite sure,as she seems quite distant with the little one
But she is distant to the second one
It's hard to say as this show is pretty edited, I don't think the father is as distant from the older boy as they make it appear (but we can clearly see that their is an issue) due to the editing we might not be seeing a full picture with the mom.
Got7 Twice i think shes more closer to the first son bc of how the dad treats their youngest. mayb thats why she seems like that idk
I honestly feel like the younger son will grow up to have sociopathic tendencies. He knows that whenever he acts "cute", he can get whatever he wants. I really wish his dad would stop being so full of shit and discipline him before he learns how to manipulate people into giving him what he wants.

i know this is an old comment but it's not logical to think that this would cause him to become a sociopath/have tendencies. sociopaths usually develop due to traumatic experiences, not doting ones. assuming that this would make him manipulative, having one common trait isn't equivalent to having sociopathic tendencies. that's like saying confidence = narcissistic tendency or anger issues = future murderer. i think this experience would make him entitled more than manipulative.

As a father, I am not just heartbroken hearing his unfounded and useless reasoning but furious as well. How can a father treat his eldest son that way. His very own flesh and blood. The children do not ask the parents to be born in this world. It is the choice of the parents to have them. “He was born with one kidney” Everyone: OH THEN IT ALL MAKES SENSE. THE ABUSE MAKES SENSE.
There is no excuse for such bad parenting. Jian didn't ask to be born to such a man. Remember the younger son might not last long on this earth, but the one son he mistreated may be the one that takes care of him in his old age.
@GIT GUD it's common everywhere youngest is always the favourite
I be never cried this hard, this dad need to learn how love his children equally!!
babyy. stephanie sis I was crying from the beginning when the mom came at first and started crying 😭

Sameee
I love how everyone is just done with the husband
I'll never get how the people in the audience are able to control themselves and not at least throw a shoe or something... I could literally feel the hatred everyone had for this man from the screen. I've been in this situation myself for a few years but good lord, its never been this extreme.
Daylah Myrick I wish they had a segment for the audience where they can voice their opinions on what they’re hearing
Because if that did exist, I would’ve been cursing all over the place to that dad
fam I would literally hit him with a book and if I have to make him smell my cheesy feet I would do it!!!
I agree. What I would give to throw my shoe as I hard as I could!
I only see something like that happen in American TV show. It's very rare tbh.
23:29 this moment is terrible, the older brother is crying while the younger brother is smiling and holding his dad's hand. I feel so bad for jian :/
ikr and its so weird how your son is an arm’s length away from you crying his eyes out, but you can just sit there and do nothing??? like UR A GROWN MAN HES YOUR CHILD PLEASE HUG HIM LOVE HIM PLEASE OMG MY HEART HUrts
I wish I could hug him and comfort him. Everyone is with you!!!
To be honest I can't help it but hating the youngest.
Camy Lee *thats exactly what I said* fr there’s something about his ego that I seem to notice that’s driving the family apart...
i think the father is not totally matured enough to be called father!
exactly but korean men just dont understand that.
Looking at Jian, i can understand how much love he needs from his father, which is obvious he's supposed to get it. After all, Jian is just a 9-year kid, and he's actually very mature for his age. Hoping that his father will love and take care for him more cz he deserves for all.
I want to adopt Jian i started crying really bad i want to make im feel safe
Im gonna give him hot chocolate and wrap him in a blanket
and klook after him
Same. I wanna adopt Jian. :'(
I don’t know how they stayed so calm during this interview, I would have been yelling at the dad the first few minutes of him talking...
I WOULD HAVE THROWN HANDS
I would swear at him
I would have stared at him angrily...he is so stubborn....
IKR I was imagining if I was there I would have smiles but anyway can tell in pissed
the mother doesn't favor the oldest, in actual fact, I feel the mother was looking into the future and feeling the pain that the son was feeling.
Hazz Haqita I am glad you have a better relationship with your mother 💜
I'm the middle child but that happens to me every day 😔😞 now I really don't care about my parents love or attention 😕
@@BtsArmy-vl3im army you have us and I love you💜 Never feel alone cause someone from here loves you and cares for you 💜💜
I am the youngest. But it is rare to get any affection from my family. I always feel like I am the burden...
Seeing a good boy telling his heart out, bawling his sadness. "i'll be a good boy too." breaks my heart
