There's a good message in this one about some bullies being all talk and no action. When you stand up to them, they're easily dealt with. This doesn't stop The Splund being utterly creepy though.
I'm not sure about the Splund. Sometimes he was taunting them, asking what they taste like, calling them horrible things. Other times he seemed somewhat polite calling them "your delightful selves." Though yeah, comparing him to bullies does work. Back in school there was a guy who used to bully me, one day I stood up to him, I gave him what I thought was a light shove, he went flying.
I remember channel 4 maybe in the late 1990s or in the year 2000 put this back on TV, it was enjoyable and now been researching it all again. I find it more hilarious now

The Splund's low pich voice was actually acheived by slowing down a voice on a computer.
