"Rah!" Cool to know it now) And I loved the "umpteen", I haven't heard it before. Thank you!!!
I really enjoyed this lesson it was cool
Aussies also use a lot of these words to varying degrees: bonkers, cheeky, donkey's years, faff, hammered, kip, loo, umpteen, vino, zonked. We would call a party a 'do', not a to-do. There were a few others I hadn't heard of.
I've just learnt about this channel...I'm really chomp at the bit for videos like this..
Thank you for the video.
hey Laura, i just finished watching every video on this channel so, i'm all caught up now :-) i gotta say, i really enjoyed this channel and i very much look forward to whatever new videos you have lined up in the future. the funniest moment, to me, was when you were doing your makeup routine and you mentioned something about getting your makeup started before people started throwing up lol i was cracking up laughing and drooling lol it was hysterical :-)
Loved it. Thank you so much

It was hilarious. Great idea to use the alphabet, easy way to remember so many words
Yeah I bet you were knackered after filming this video on a hot summer day! But we're back to rainy days this week in France 😢 and it was a pleasure to watch you explain all those slang words, I knew very few of them. You're as «happy-jumpy-crazy-funny» as Laura 😂👍 Is she sick or ill to be staying behind the camera? Excellent video anyway, thanks a lot ☺👍
this channel is fantastic omg every single video is so useful for non native speakers like fr! i'm writing everything down ✍
Glad you enjoy it! :D
@@smashingenglish i have one question for You English People: why do You always say "british culture" to talk about yourselves like if Scotland Wales North Ireland were all the Same, when of course they are not, we all know they all are 3 different countries apart from England itself Even if the 4 of You are the United Kingdom together (that's why it's called UK) so why don't You talk about English culture Alone?? Y'know England only
thank for this video and its realy perfect
You're welcome 😊
When ur explain so funny, thanks u so much.
Great video, vino means wine in spanish as well, here in argentina to say "beer" we say "cerveza" or "birra" and birra means beer in italian leanguage as well.
We say Bira here in Turkey
Thank you❤❤❤
I love it!
Actually it’s fun how you use “vino” for wine that is the exact translation of wine in Italian 😁 cheers from Piedmont 🤙
I want to see this Mr. more
You are so hilarious😂😂😂❤
I love you, Laura!
so funny I like it
Many words that i Haven't heard in My f'n Life.
Ta!!
Hi. Could you please explain me : is the word "wench" acceptable in normal everyday communication? Thanks a lot, have a nice day.
Hello! Wench is a very old word to mean a certain type of woman. I only hear it used today for comic purposes, never in serious conversation. So, you may hear it as a joke but not as a genuine word used to refer to a woman.
Awwwwwwwesome...... 😍🖤🖤❤️
How about the alphabet with words from different slangs that meam 'drunk'?
Umpteenth, To-do, Zonked, and Bonkers are all used in the US, too. Instead of “You What?,” we say “Oh no you didn’t.”
I know you didnt isn't the same as you what...you what is more aggressive if someone says you what at best it's the announcement of an arguement but can often mean an announcement of a physical fight
There are about eight of those that we use in the U. S. regularly. e. g. - I got hammered on vino last night and was zonked out by midnight - a totally American sentence.
❤❤❤
What does smash mean?
