This is probably one of the best and most effort next time I’ve ever seen.
Thanks. I made the background and next time in After Effects - I think someone more experienced than I can do a far better job but I'm satisfied with the result.

I think it really depends on what Death Battle would consider a "Death".
But personally I think Chara has this based off what they've previously considered one, as in - a death with finality. Let me explain; the Batter only has a vague awareness of the fourth wall, to the point where it's akin to an ill-defined religion to him. The Batter doesn't understand what a "save point" truly is, he doesn't acknowledge the weird title screen section in the Room, he only barely seems to grasp the idea that he's being controlled. He seems to have the names for these things, the words to say, but their meanings seem to escape him. He thinks Zacharie a loon for talking about being in a game, when he himself has spoken about game-like concepts. Demonstratively, the Batter does not comprehend anything he preaches about.
Meanwhile, Chara isn't just aware of the nature of their world, but they basically weaponize this knowledge, using determination itself to SAVE and LOAD. I see alot of assumptions thrown around that Chara blew up the timeline and that makes them whatever tier, but if you ask me, the solution to their victory is a lot simpler then that and it makes alot less assumptions. The Batter merely has no means of permanently putting them down and without a way to understand Chara constantly resetting or having any way to prevent that - so if Chara just kept trying, kept resetting even if they had a marginal chance of victory, Chara would eventually win.
TLDR; "Dormammu, I've come to bargain!"
The Batter most certainly has Chara outgunned in basically every category, but Chara is just on another LV. *audience laughter*

wait,if batter kills chara,would he not purify chara from the evil? he does that with all the bosses,and by the end of the game im pretty sure he destroyed the entire universe
The Batter doesn't trully "purify" anything - he kills the Gaurdians of each Zones which turns the Zones into husks where the Secretaries (presumably) either invader or make themselves more known. It's possible that whatever impurity the Batter set out to defeat doesn't actually exist or is a far larger more metaphorical concept - a proxy for him to end the world.
Further more, The Batter didn't destroy the universe himself, he utilized the OFF Switch to do that, which would certainly not be considered a part of his standard arsenal (the entire game is a journy to get to that point).
Whereas by the end of the Genocide route, you could make the argument that Chara is implied that they became strong enough to naturally end the world. The key difference between those two examples is that one is textually a character, at their strongest, still needing something external to end the world where the other's zenith *is* being able to destroy the world.
Feel free to take this with a grain of salt because I think it's perfectly debatable as to whether this is the "correct" inturpretation of what's considered Chara's maximum potential.

I disagree. Chara wins by virture of the Batter having no method of actually killing Chara with actual finality. His arsenal and shear power absolutely overwhelms them, and he would absolutely kill them many, many, many times, but these would be inconveniences at best. He wouldn't remeber any resets, as his meta-awarness only extends to the player and few mechanics. All Chara would have to do is keep trying until they win. They win by sheer brute force.
I think they do have the smarts to know about save and reload. Most likely no power to stop then tho.

@@zacharie2334 yes he is able to kill them multiple times but it won't last for long considering chara can just reset and come back and he can't remember through resets so his meta awareness only extends to the player and a few mechanics. All Chara would have to do is keep trying until they win. They win by sheer brute force.
I personally Prefer OMORI vs The Batter but this is cool too ig.
