In this video I’m in chocolate bayou. So usually, I troll with the trolling motor and when I hook up I’ll shut it off while I fight the fish and anchor up real quick so I don’t drift off to far from where I caught it. 🤙🏻
@@ADDICTED2FISHINGTX okay is the chocolate bayou like an estuary of a salt water system? I'd like to try to find them here where I live but they aren't very abundant
Grew up fishing Choc Bay in 80s, 90s and early 2000s. I remember when Shaws floating bait camp was anchored under 2004 bridge. I remember Horse shoe bend and Lutes marina. The horse shoe is up from bridge and across from 2004 chemical plant. Fished Long Reef, The Narrows and Halls Bayou. Great bay system for catching reds and specks!!!!
Are they paying you to promote those lures? Haha just kidding! Actually really like that you’re telling us about these because when I walk into a store looking for lures there’s like 50,000 different ones to chose from. It’s overwhelming and if you’re new like me you have no idea what works and what is crap. I’ll have to try those out. I bet they’d be good for fresh water too. Nice reds 👍
🤣 I wish! But I am trying to start showing everything I’m using in the videos because that’s the most questions I get, so I figured that what most people are interested in. Thanks for watching man!
Awesome!!!!
Thanks man I appreciate it! ✌🏻
Great video friend 👍
Thanks I appreciate it! ✌🏻
🔥👍🏼 nice fish
Thanks I appreciate it ✌🏻
Thanks, that was a nice redfish. I grew up out there by that 2004 bridge back in the 70s. Did a lot of fishing on chocolate Bayou as a kid.
That’s awesome! I love fishing there, it’s a great place to fish 👍🏻 I appreciate ya watching!

Some nice fish. I am in Victoria.
Thanks I appreciate it! Chocolate bayou is an awesome place to fish 👍🏻
Nice brother! I'm excited to get out and target reds. What type of waterway see you in? You dropped anchor! Was it pulling the boat?

@@GNRF_GripnNRipnFishn Yes but where I fish it’s much closer to the coast. Further up the bayou is very brackish.
@@ADDICTED2FISHINGTX ah okay cool!
@@GNRF_GripnNRipnFishn yes sir! I’d be glad to answer any questions ya got!
Man as many times as I've been to the ocean I've never once caught a red fish or trout lol
They are a blast! Redfish are easily my favorite fish to chase after 🤙🏻✌🏻
Nice reds there son. I like the red rod and reel. Maybe with some catfish on the end of the hook. Lol 😁
Thanks! 🤣 no way, lures only!! Lol
Was that horseshoe?
Not sure what horseshoe is bud
