Huh! Found at last. Ive searched so many times for this - and here it is right under my nose. Thank you so much for uploading. I remember listening to this album while at Shoreditch teacher Training College doing my B.Ed in 1978/79 . A guy (Ian? . . . .) on the same corridor had it and played it on the most amazing sounding hi-fi system; concrete turntable etc etc. He said something about his copy being a direct cut and very special because of that. The music was special enough whatever it was played on. Absolutely thrilled to bits to hear it again. Such a unique sound and energy. Thanks again.
I am an American who was living and going to school in Devon in England very close to where Omaha Sheruff was forming. They played a concert at our school and needless to say - instant fandom. Someone stole my LP during my college years and I was luckily able to replace it with a demo copy a friend found floating around in the record universe. This is one of my all time favorite LP's hands down.
I was also at Shebbear then. Yours is the first mention of that gig I've seen online. I was beginning to think I'd imagined the whole thing! I do remember thinking, wow, is that THE Tony Visconti, though...
One of the most interesting LP.s I have, by far. It's a pitty that the band only recorded one album. Any information about bands where they played afyer Omaha Sheriff
Muggleton & Noble went on to be in Judie Tzuke's band. Muggleton produced her albums from 1980 onwards and he and Bob Noble wrote quite a few of her songs. Recommended (a fan..)
@@keithbarry9734 I went into production and made records for Sinead O'Connor, Steve Earle, Buffy Sainte Marie and many more. Now living in Canada and back to recording and playing my own music. www.chrisbirkettmusic.ca

I wouldn't even know this song existed it wasn't for the existence of the Maxell Rock Sampler LP!
Same here. I searched for years for this album before I found a copy!

Underrated jam.
Only know about this because of the Maxell Rock Sampler. Glad my dad bought the "12 pack" of blank tapes!

@@ChrisBirkettMusic wonderful Chris
Omaha Sheriff did record a second album but it wasn't released. It's every bit as good as the first, although quite different in many ways.
