I worked for Tony Visconti for many years as his PA. I remember this well and it was written by Paul for his first wife Nicky. We went to the BBC to record it but it wasn´t right and Paul asked me the same question. I t wasn´t and the second recording was perfect.
It was covered brilliantly by Judie Tzuke and she sang it during her recent 2010 UK tour. She is infact married to Paul Muggleton and their eldest daughter Bailey Tzuke is now forging her own musical career as well - check them both out. Have to agree about the album meriting release on CD, it's one of my all time favourites.
Astoundingly beautiful song which I am amazed no one else has successfully covered. This album merits release on CD or at the very least this track on a compilation.
One of my all time fave LP's...I'm lucky enough to always (since 1977) always have a good copy of this on hand...and STILL DO> Side to side: A Great [ Listen!
What a beautiful song, I missed out on this in 1977, and I listened out for good music. What time of the year was it issued, does anyone know? Thanks for sharing. It makes me more credible when I tell people that the 70s was not all Sweet and the Bay City Rollers......ooh, I wish I had not mentioned the BCRs they make me come over all poorly....
Masterpiece of a sadly bygone era ! ❤️

Just reading tony viscontis book great read great producer

A very important piece of work in the history of rock.
A very lovely song, that a fair few of you would remember Judie singing after this!

I have Omaha Sheriff's unreleased follow up album, if you've never heard it. I think it's just as brilliant.
I've still got the black RCA t-shirt with a printed silver badge!

They sure did! D C Lee and Judie Tzuke, the wife of Paul Muggleton from this band and even Karen Blake!
Fine and underrated song.
