This version of the song was recorded live at the venue in three takes and the best parts were edited together in order to get good video and audio. The song was performed using only analog synthesizers and analog drum machines, with the help of a MIDI sequencer.
Synths used in this song: Alesis Andromeda A6; DSI Tetra; Hypersynth Xenophone; Jomox AirBase99; Korg Polysix, Mono/Poly; Oberheim Matrix 1000, Marion Prosynth; Roland Alpha Juno 1&2, Juno-60, Jupiter 6, JX-8P, TR-808; Touched-by-sound DRM1;
Additional equipment: Akai MPC2500 (only for MIDI sequencing); Behringer X32 Rack mixer; Yamaha 01v96 mixer (only for providing preamps for the X32 - that's why the faders don't move anymore); Lexicon MPX1; Strymon BigSky; as well as a midi patchbay and additional preamps for my mixer.

Yes, the music of the 80's is full of hope. It was probably the best music era yet. New instruments - synthesizers, new harmonies.
You can certainly hear a bit of Vangelis, Jarre and others but also a lot of Kebu as this incredible guy has really made his own mark on electronic music.

I'm glad to see the old gear back. Nothing's wrong with modern Roland gear, but if you only use the analog sounds of them, you're only using 10% of their possibilities.

Really good, analog synths…. There is something still so special about them… I am interested on how you went about composing something like this :) although I could recognise chord progressions… really nice, nice lights, well arranged …
I came first up with the chorus, but then it sat for two years on my hard drive and I had no clue how to take it further. So I kind of just had to force myself to start working on it and trying out different ideas. I think I came up with the verse melody as the next thing, and then it got easier after that.
For me it defenetly sounds like the 80is. I like!
