I finished building mine a few days ago, really enjoyed the build and the finished result! It took a bit longer to clean up both the nubs and panel lining than I expected due to the plastic colors, but beside that it’s so awesome!
If you have both standard and Aile Calamity Gundam, you can make something like Perfect Calamity Gundam with Sword Calamity's swords and standard calamity's cannons on Aile Calamity's backpack.
Calamity head design really reminds me of a traditional Japanese Samurai head armour.. where in the sword configuration really gives it that samurai vibe.. should throw a solid physical katana of the Astray on it's weapon arsenal..

Red injected plastic does tend to break (reminds me of my MG Shining Gundam's red, thin shoulder armor parts, it has white marks that tends to break) That aside, it's awesome to see those suits in different loadouts similar to Impulse and Strike and changes its phase shift color modes.

I just bought this and the regular calamity. I couldn't help myself and ordered the aile of ebay and Wil have it tomorrow. Out of all the bad guy seed suits the calamity is my favorite. 😊 plus you can swap out seed backpacks as far as I know anyway.
I love the backpack since its look like Code Geass Knightmare cockpit. If they move pilot position there, imagine how powerful that chest beam can be. Might be rival to SF beam.
Man, I hope they do a Unit 1 and give us unique stickers for their numbers like 1,2 and 3 that would be pretty cool Equally nice to see the Sword Calamity Gundam

Beside orange, (which I would like to get a mobile suit that is orange sometime in the future or make my own orange Gunplay.) what other colors they should try to make for any other gunpla in your opinion? I only know of the one gun plug that they had a movie special with build fighters try. Scramble Gundam, and I know you did a review on that one.
Wish you had all 3 in the shot together also the reasoning in pictures the swords were over the shoulder is because the bottom of the swords are guns they just didn’t work on the strike’s version
God I love this version of the Calamity Gundam, but it also reminds me that we have had no modern version of the BuCUE or LaGOWE at all in 1/100 scale. The HG kits are great fun, but man. Man I want me my giant mecha doggos.
All seed mobile suits are pretty small compared to Universal Century mobile suits they pretty much never go over 18 meters in height unless its a destroy gundan or mobile armor
This is one of those rare designs that, while it is great, I cant help but wish it was a Sword Raider Gundam instead of a Calamity. Part of that is because the Aile Calamity is already such a great variant of calamity. But it would be cool to see variants of each of the 3 seed villain gundams. Plus, a sword raider transformed into a jet form with those dope swords as its wings would be a fantastic upgrade. All that being said, this Gundam has everything going for it.
@@thieftheodore I think that’s the Gelb Raider…I’ve only seen some art for it. I don’t personally like the way they went about trying to combine all 3 of those gundams into it. The blue full spec raide cracks me up though, I like how it turns into jet mode and than mounts onto a second glider. I don’t know which of the calamity gundams came first, I wouldnt be surprised if it was the sword. But either way, and orange sword raider would still be a fantastic variant.
Why do I fell like this form of Calamity is going to be piloted by Andrew Waltfeld. He piloted the custom BuCUE and the Gaia Gundam that both has orange color scheme. This would be a nice addition to his collection too. Also, Calamity without those 2 giant canons is so weird
It's really funny how the impulse and the calamity Gundams mimic the strike Gundam down to a T 😂🤔 what we need to see next is a perfect variation of both of those second generation Gundams
There's the destiny impulse rg... has the 2 sword impulse anti ship sword, 2 beam cannons, beam boomerangs, and the destiny wings and beam shield, it's basically a perfect impulse minus the missles and railguns from the blast impulse
this would be Unit 3. Since you have a Calamity Gundam, you can mix the parts to build Unit 1 (basically Calamity Gundam then add the Sword calamity parts preserving the base's original color).

every time i see a 1/100 pbandai kit it makes me sad because all the kits that i think look cool are mostly pbandai or out of print like this one, its not that i cant buy pbandai kits its just they are only in stock when i cant buy them

Yeah, and originally it was supposed to be red later they ended up changing the color to orange in the games after never ending tomorrow
For the double beam, the instructions recommends moving one of the hands to the bottom of the handle, so you can angle it more.
