TSOL is my favorite band. I listen to it in my earbuds constantly.
    Also,
I like how in a rare guitar store he grabs the Pbass. That’s all I ever needed too.

I caught TSOL’s show in Richmond, VA back in 1985 or ‘86 and was hanging with a friend from SoCal. Got to chatting with Mike Roche and he invited us to go hang out in their van across the street. Super chill dude, regaled us with some funny stories, including how they fucked up a touring opportunity when lead singer Jack Grisham punched Ian Astbury from The Cult. I’d forgotten about that night. Ahh, the salad days.

Mike will go down as one of the best rock bassist ever. His tone always cuts through the mix and his bass is always audible. I think since him and Ron started playing together they kept this yin & yang bass/guitar mix equal and audible and it works best for the band and listener. Credit to all other parties but we're talking about Mike and that's the skinny on him. Since watching him in the early eighties as a kid I always wanted a black Thunderbird bass. Edit: Thanks guys and gals at Norman's rare guitars for posting this chat with the unsung hero.

Yeah, “Love Story”, and “Die for Me” are good examples of this. Bass melody in there with some eerie intensity.

What's with the Warwick? I see fretless corvettes for sale all the time (often for under $1k), I wouldn't call them rare.

+Zimy0 They don't just sell vintage and rare guitars. As a guitar store they stock instruments for many players of many budgets. Guitar Center also sells keyboards. Its business.
