I have been using one of these here in New Zealand for over 4 years with great success. I like to use a surf rod and electric reel with 3 baits only as I like to play the fish in the usual way. I only use the electric reel as it is pretty tiring hand winding in 2 to 4 hundred meters of line to check the baits. One tip for new users - when setting up your traces (I do this in advance) instead of having a closed loop to hook onto the drone I add a small aluminum carabiner to the end of the tether. This means you don't have to open and close the release to hook it on which is quite fiddly on your own. You can just lift the drone and snap on the carabiner to the payload release. Too easy.
Just read some others comments. That set up was way too long. It takes me around 3 minutes and then that's it for the day. And I am fishing just like any other person with a rod and line. However often I am out there with others who are casting by hand and getting nothing but out at 200 meters it is fish city. Also as I am getting on in years I can't hand cast the big distances any more. So if you like to catch fish and enjoy a bit of tech at the same time these drones are the business.
Nevermind all the haters, it's a absolutely amazing and revolutionary . You basicly don't need a boat anymore, very nice for people who get really seasick like me but love to fish
I bought the splash drown 3 for fishing the camera droke after a few flights but iv been using for years without a problem and I use it for stringing fibre optic trail lines at work made a lot of money from it
The drones we have here in SA have a Gannet release system for fishing which is made Here In Cape Town South Africa. We also have a drone made in SA just for fishing, without a camera which is fantastic

The splash drone is very difficult to set up. Check out our other drone fishing videos here ruclips.net/p/PLOovAwxNMcmqrTD0rwNJQqOQavb8AOhKV These drones are cheaper and easier to use and have around the same fishing range.
For me fishing with drones has put the fun back into fishing. It's very productive and I catch good fish on over 95% of my fishing trips. The splash drone in this video is too difficult for most fishers to master, but the other fishing drones we sell are very simple to operate. I have cast fishing lines with drones over 200 times and have had no drone losses or mishaps so I actually do know what I am talking about. ruclips.net/p/PLOovAwxNMcmqrTD0rwNJQqOQavb8AOhKV
I would say this puts a LOT more fun into fishing. Especially beach fishing. Good luck enjoying seeing how far you can cast out over the waves by hand lol
Old dog learning new tricks. Enjoyed your video.

Denis (the guy in the video) is an expert and this is how long it took him.
Thanks for showing a step by step. I always wondered how the line was released. I'm going to do some research for a drone here in the USA.

What's the price range with delivery to Congo?
Why is without a camera fantastic? Apart from that yeah Gannet seem really cool
How silly I was to think there might be drone fishing in this video.
Wow that's fantastic! I want one!
Merci

Definitely, the new SwellPro FD1 and SplashDrone 4 drones have a far simpler calibration, check out the FD1 ruclips.net/video/wXCmXkqQEQI/видео.html
where is the joy in fishing like that
Catching so many great fish compared with other land based fishing methods. I can cast six or seven hundred meters if I need to!
Some species of fish can not be caught close to shore.

Swellpro introducir in Spanish
Are the drones self leveling or do they have a n oh shite button.
The home button lands the drone back at the spot it took off from.
That’s way too much fussing around setting the drone setup for me.
This splash drone is very difficult to set up. The AEE Condor fishing drone is much simpler.
buddwieser yeah but will you cast that far ?
Price to Mozambique please
By the time you set up, the fish are off the bite!

I wonder if it wouldn't have been easier to just spend the $3,000 on buying the fish from the fish market ? That's a lot of fish !!!
Do yourself a huge favor and wait for DJI to make it this is a fiddle a mess
Like this one ruclips.net/video/wXCmXkqQEQI/видео.html that's the new SwellPro FD1, far easier calibration
