My jaw dropped when I saw my #2 least favorite coaster of all time at #4. I guess that retrack went really well! I’ll have to get back to the park soon.
there’s no denying that GASM is a rough ride, but the out of control feel and rapid succession of airtime more than makes up for it
@@CoasterDash when I first went to this park, GASM & Mindbender were #1 & 2 in the park. If you rode in the back on GASM and unbuckled the seatbelt, you got ungodly ejector air as all they had was a buzz bar back then
They have only retracked the first two hills. The rest of the coaster is still too rough for me. They say it is going to take several years to finish as they will not close the ride to fix. Only between Jan and March do they have time to retrack each year.

I agree with 1 and 2. Goliath was running much more smoothly in 2021 than my previous rides.
Twisted Cyclone is such a fun ride.
You nailed GASM. It’s in bad shape, it shakes like hell. It is the most laugh inducing ride in the park and is truly great.
I went in 2018 and here are my thoughts:
1. Twisted Cyclone- I prefer this a little more than Goliath (In my Top 30 overall)
2. Goliath- In my Top 3 B&M Hypers. (Top 35 Overall)
3. Mind Bender- This thing was running great in 2018.
4. Great American Scream Machine- Put me in the camp of really enjoying the airtime!
5. Batman the Ride- On the better end of the Batman clones
6. Superman- On the better end of the Superman clones
7. Dare Devil Dive- Fun ride. Nothing over the top
8. Georgia Scorcher- Not the biggest fan of B&M stand-ups
9. Dahlonega Mine Train- A lower end mine train
10. Blue Hawk- You didn't miss much
I didn't ride Joker on that trip. The top 5 are all in my top 30% of coasters I have been on, and the top 2 are in my Top 10%. This is a real good six flags park with a solid overall coaster line-up!
The more you do the Twisted Cyclone in a row the more you will laugh. One time at closing a couple years back, did about 10 in a row, so that was fun
This is my home park and I never really appreciated just how unique of a line up I have just 20 mins away from my house. This is great content keep up the great work

Georgia Scorcher was the last standup coaster ever built.
I feel you on the Overnight Flight thing. I departed Cincinnati to Vegas on a wed night, slept in Vegas airport, boarded a flight for Burbank the following morning, landed and went to Magic Mountain all day, returned to Burbank airport and fly back to Vegas Thur evening and then had a 4hr layover before I could board my 2am flight back to Cincinnati. Then when I landed I got my car and drove into work and put in my normal 8 hrs...hit me on Saturday like what the heck did I just do to myself!? Anyway here's my thoughts on Six Flags Over GA -
1. Mindbender
2. Goliath
3. Superman
4. Twisted Cyclone
5. Georgia Scorcher
6. Blue Hawk
7. Batman
8. Dare devil Dive
9. Dahlonaga Mine Train
Didn't get to ride Joker Fun House or Great Scream Machine which was closed for re-tracking...
As far as my experience went, Blue Hawk was my biggest surprise of the trip. Was very comfortable and has a great layout with tons of head chopper moments. Best Vekoma I've ever ridden! I absolutely loved Mindbender. It wasn't trimming very hard during my visit compared to how hard Revolution trims at Magic Mountain. This is my favorite Schwarzkopf coaster and my fav in the park for it's scenic layout and good mix of positive and negative Gs. Goliath is actually one of my least favorite b&m hypers... guess I didn't understand what all the hype was about. The first drop seemed shallow/not very steep and while the speed was there, the hills just provided me with ok airtime, and the helix gave me an unpleasant grey out feeling. Therefore this is my least favorite B&M hyper since nothing excelled and the helix was unpleasant. It's good but not amazing. GA Scorcher was fun and I never have issues on standup coasters. Either my body fits them well or else other people don't know how to adjust the seat correctly. Great small scale standup with surprisingly good airtime. I will say the mine train seemed pretty boring and I had to wait an hour to get on it so end of story it's one of the weakest mine train coasters but I'm sure the kids love it.
When Fury runs with the trim brake off the last three airtime hills are rmc level ejector
100% agree on Goliath. However, if Twisted Cyclone were able to pull of one more decent lap, I would probably rank it higher
Seeing Dahlonega mine train povs always make me laugh for some reason. It's just tumbling and jumbling around the terrain, and the layout is just sad lol
Needs to go and be replaced with more kids rides imo. It takes up so much space as they could literally add another kiddie coaster and a few flat rides since it's basically next to Boom Town.

The final hills on Fury 325 are forsure ejector on a B & M as well. I also say Goliath is my favorite of all the current hypers by them.
Mindbender was a LOT better before the refurb. Longer trains meant more airtime on the drops and more positive G "slingshot" effect in the loops, and the trims were lighter. Now it has no airtime, less Gs, shorter trains, and trimmed to death. Good to see Goliath still going strong though, it's one of my top 10 steel coasters.
What I love about Over Georgia: Best Batman clone (I greyed out 3 times…), best Superman clone, and best B&M Hyper. That’s a lot of bests 😅
Great review. I have only ridden one B&M hyper, which is Goliath, so I feel like my home park has me spoiled. Hitting those ejector hills in the back row is absolutely insane and I loved every millisecond of it. GASM may be rough but i really do enjoy how out of control it was. They redid the track for the first half when the pandemic shut everything down, I hope they do the 2nd half of the track in the 2021-2022 offseason. Blue hawk I actually thought wasn't a bad ride. The new restraints really help, but I can see why some people say blue hawk isn't that great, it has some dull moments and weird pacing.
But yeah, glad to see ya in the peach state, y'all come back now, ya here? Especially for the Fun spot RMC going up!

I am going to ride Shambhala at PortAdventura park in June. With that being said, I think Goliath will be my favorite B&M Hyper. I haven’t been on it yet, though.
I rode blue hawk one time and when I got on the ride, I did not have a headache, but when I got the ride, I had a headache
This is my home park and I think you really missed out on the Blue Hawk. Granted when it was the Ninja it rode extremely rough and received a bad reputation as a head banger. But after the rebrand and harness changes I think the quality improved leaps and bounds. Plus the back to back loop is so unique and a great thrill.

as someone who is lucky enough to have a few things to say, first fun fact goliath's second drop over the road leading into the park is actually slightly larger than the first drop, also those last three hills heading back are just perfection, second you really missed out on Blue Hawk that ride has some of the best headchoppers of any coaster, also it has some really fun and quirky inversions. Third Mindbender seems to be running super slow in the footage, due to the longer trains and lack of trims you you used to get a nice pop of airtime off the 3rd and 4th drops. I really hope its just the trims, lack of a full train and weather slowing it down. Finally IDK if you rode great American scream machine in the back but if you didn't then you are missing out, its not that much rougher in the back and the airtime is way better.
I am visiting Six Flags Over Georgia next summer on my way to the Caribbean. It will be interesting to see how I personally rank all these and compare it to this.
I am also hoping to stop at Six Flags White Water on the way back for anybody who cares.
I rode Goliath in 2019 and it was a rattely mess, I rode it again in July of 2021 and it blew me away.
If Scream Machine got a full retrack that ride would be nuts.

If Great american scream machine got the rmc topper track instead of georgia cyclone which received topper track before it was converted, it could be an elite woodie, but its too rough for me to have that status.
i missed batman and joker when i went here in 2018, which is a reason i need to get back. Though, my parents aren't a big fan of this park, or six flags in general. They're more of the disney type (aka gp)
Only roller coaster I have ever enjoyed was Batman because I’m normally scared of roller coasters
Blue Hawk has actually been praised in the coaster community. Ever since they got those new trains or restraints, people have been saying it is quite good. Before the change, yeh people hated it haha.
I rode it when it was the Ninja. It was a headache inducing mess. As Blue Hawk, it a much more rideable experience

Diamondback and the two Six Flags B&M Junior hypers named Goliath are the only three B&M hyper coasters with at least two untrimmed drops following the 1st drop before the turnaround, (which at Goliath at SGOG is a downwards helix best experienced in the back). Behemoth at Canada Wonderland has SIX airtime dips following the drop, which is less than Diamondback, which has 7 post drop dips (or perhaps even eight post drop dips if one considers the drop off the turnaround a dip) but if Behemoth doesn't have the dips Diamondback has: at least Behemoth has MORE height, drops, speed, and length than Diamondback has, not to mention the dips than Goliath does.
I have no issue if you prefer Goliath better, but it doesn't have more dips than Diamondback, and Goliath is much shorter in height and drop. What Goliath @ SFOG focuses on is airtime, many dips, nine car trains and a massive downward helix about 2/5ths of the way though the ride. Every coaster enthusiast I know about who's ridden it shoots it very high up in their list of B&M hypers, despite the fact that it only has a drop of merely 175'.
In conclusion: I'd rate Goliath at SFOG an elite B&M hyper DESPITE its "junior hyper" status. That concludes my reflections of Goliath at SFOG, but I might change my mind if I ever get a chance to ride it and have the opportunity to ride all the other B&M hyper coasters, then get the chance to compare it to all the rest of the B&M Hyper coasters. The Goliath was one of the worst ones for me, I was completely underwhelmed by the drop, while in other coasters they had better drops 8th place behind the mine cart.
So glad to see goliath getting the hype it deserves. Best B&M hyper at least in NA.

From the drop till the heartline rool it is a clone from anubis the ride at plopsaland (the park with the ride to happiness)

I would paint The Georgia Scorcher Track back to Yellow also paint the supports dark red next make the drop of the hill look like goliath going straight down ,next I would relocate Batman: The Ride To Six Flags America so the Park can compeat against it's competitors Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg Then I would replace Batman with a B&M Ski Coaster because its close to the application mountains if I own the theme park.

Goliath is fantastic! I've only ridden 3 B&M hypers (Mako, Apollo's Chariot, and Goliath). All three are in my top 10 and all three provide amazing floater. Goliath was for sure my favorite coaster in Over Georgia.
