@@unpavd doing great my guy! I enjoyed the first tacoma vids from your channel. From the tires, to the lift. Now this. How's the 33s working for you btw? Is the lift from the truck and the tires. Really noticeable when your in the cab? Atleast height wise.
@@GhettoFabulous670 The 33s are great! Haven't had any problems with rubbing and the extra clearance is nice. Funny, I kept tripping the first few times getting into the truck after the lift + tires. Had to get used to the extra height. Feels like I'm higher up while I drive as well. Ride quality is much improved over the stock suspension. On my first pass, I got the Bilsteins installed to see what leveling the truck would be like. Ended up being problematic with all the camping weight I had in the truck bed, so the add-a-leaf pack was perfect for fixing my saggy rear and gave me about 1.75" + of lift.
The nice thing about the 85 series tire is you can air down to 20 pounds and your tires actually pick up a lot of the washboard effects and reduces the need for high end shocks 5160s in the back and 5100s in the front are plenty unless you plan on doing a steel bumper with a wench in it . The 5160s will give you more travel and articulation for your rear end which I would get extended break lines to accommodate. With the 5100s in the front you don't need the clearance that the upgraded uca gives you for the bigger spring that gives you a harsher ride with the 6112s .
Bilstien shocks are what they put on the TRD so it seems like the Tacoma is kind of tuned to that brand. The 5100 series should be more than adequate for your needs unless you do allot of wash boards then you can upgrade to the 2.5 series with new springs.

I want that size pretty badly and can’t seem to pull the trigger with the mixed reviews I’ve been hearing about how they wear. Went with your recommendation using shock surplus with a similar setup. I went with the Eibach pro truck 2r through their recommendation.

Really? Even with a 1.5” lift? I thought you only needed to handling bushings, and cab mount relo when you went into the 2.5+ range … at least that’s the feedback i got on TacomaWorld
i know you said in an earlier video that you wanted to increase your payload in rear because you now have static load with RTT etc. but from what ive read, a progressive AAL doesnt really help increase that, what have your experience with your AALs. Thanks!
Can you send the link to your lift kit set up? More like 80/20 split for me on driving on the street vs off road. Would you recommend your set up or something else?

You def need CV bushing replaced, and cab mount relocation kit.

Have you had any noise out of the driveshaft bearings? Seems like it can sometimes be a problem with the lift. Just curious.
