@@ethanyeung6216 I would say dark, not edgy. Edgy is something dark that is that is so conceptually bad that it must be edgy in terms of standards. Madoka Magica is one of those shows that handles dark elements with such delicacy and respect that I wouldn't consider it's nihilist but idealist aspects inherently bad. Mahou Shoujou Site and Raising Project are shows that I'd call edgy for the sake of being tho.

Japanese people tend to have wild imaginations of what France is like. When they visit France they often become disillusioned and come down with a case of "Paris Syndrome" where they are disappointed by the reality. The accordians are synonymous with France in the sense that Homura is living in a dream world
@@eucalyptus2609 They'll probably use some of her previous stuff. But sadly she isn't doing the composing. If you listen to the music in the trailer I think it's pretty obvious it's not her work. It's a bit over the top, trying too hard to be epic and stuff. If you compare it to say the music in the Madoka Concept Movie you can really hear how different Kajiura's music is.

Idk, man, to me Homura Akemi is like if Walter White was a 14 year old lesbian, it's incredible how she goes from what she was in her backstory to the devil she became in the end of the movie Rebelion, like, Homura broke bad like Walt!
A bit, but in many ways very different. Both are "saved" for the kindness of the another person, and search his/her happiness. BUT. something about this OST always made me feel uneasy
Yuki Kajiura is such an evocative composer. She also matches her music so effectively to the story at hand.
I guess you could say "something is wrong". Ugh I'm so stupid

The existential terror of realizing that the world you worked so hard for wasn't what you really wanted, and now you're stuck with the consequences

Godangit french people
Kinda like what other people from other countries do, yeah.
The advantage of being French is that I never had any hope to begin with, I can't be disillusioned!
The best music i have ever heard in all my life
In love with the accordion ♡
This feels like a slowed down version of Homura’s witch theme
It is tho
Reminds me of the OST for Neil Gaiman's Mirror Mask. a movie about a girl trapped in a dream world she created. it featured accordion too.
"Something, Everything is wrong"

I feel like Homura is in many ways a yuri-version of Yuno Gasai from Mirai Nikki... both are incredibly similiar.
Because both are sharing common ancestor called Homura Manami

Yuno is a crazy bad writted Yandere, Homura is basically the Avatar of his author: Urobuchi.
