merry Christmas everyone! thank you all for watching and please feel free to leave any and all criticism for the video down here in the comments! also check me out on twitter! x.com/SkitzoDee gonna be posting some hints about the next video soon 🤫🤫
Don`t like how you talk to your cat. Do not like have no understanding of Nazism. You all want good music but you cant deal with eccentric people making it. Makes me sick. You have like no life experience and do not understand how we do things over the in the North here.
Jon Nödtveidt was an accessory, not an actual murderer...and it has nothing to do with homophobia...the homosexual man that was killed was killed only because he was talking too much about Jon and his friend's Occultic beliefs
One day, long ago in the 70's, somebody held little newborn Jon close to their chest, and told him he was their beautiful baby boy, and that he would grow up to make them so proud one day... Talented musician, for sure, but what a disappointment of a human being.
I often think about that kind of thing when it comes to some of these characters. It's all so terribly sad. I mean, we all fall short in life in different ways as people, and we all do things that we look back on with regret, but man...some people just lose the proverbial script entirely.
Well, if I remember correctly, there was also some situation between Jon and Dave M. from Megadeth. I think Mustaine wrote about it in his autobiography, Jon has threatened Dave and Dave was actually little worried when it was time for some gigs in Sweden knowing that the guy threatening him is a "serious" guy but was, "relieved" (maybe not the best word, but he found out that Jon has died by then) that there was no more threat to his life. By the way, Storm of the lights bane is in top 5 black metal releases EVER for me.
I think what started this was Dave, being a born again Christian, demanded that Dissection be removed from a festival both bands were playing. Not sure if i remember correctly, but that's probably what angered Jon. I also remember Dave basically gloating and mocking Jon's suicide in the media. Lovely Christian values that guy has.
@@alexdebling1564 Right, right. I think that's how it went. They were supposed to play on the same bill at some festival, and Dave founding Jesus (hey more power to him, personal believes are, in my opinion intimate. And as long as you don't wag your finger at me and preach like you're better than me then do what you've got to do) felt like being on the same stage as Dissection somehow clashed with his views, and he tried to get them kicked off. Then I guess Jon got a whiff of Daveys ideas and he wasn't too pleased, hahaha, and as I said before, Jon being a "serious" guy, in his mind, Mr. Mustaine had to go!!
You got a new subscriber here mate, keep it up! Dissection has always been one of my favorites and have all their material. My most prized possession in my record collection is Storm of the Lights Bane 1st press
The problem with even the best black metal bands is not only the widespread mental disorders among the musicians but also that they only serve a small niche where it's really hard to make good money. After Jon's death it became known that he left a lot of debts, apparently there wasn't even enough money for the release of the last live concert. This could also have been a very profane reason for his suicide, that despite his outstanding talent he was unable to make a living from his music. Thanxx for this video man!
This is what a MLO member says in an inteview posted 2001, Slayer Magazine. "Noxifer: - One year after some MLO members ended up in prison, an outlaw organisation and brotherhood called Werewolf Legion was formed. WL, which consists mainly of non-Satanists, has a close collaboration with MLO and even though most of its members aren’t Satanists, they are all warriors, outlaws and misanthropes. F.T.L! There are also plans to start up WL in Norway and Holland, for it is in these countries (besides Sweden) that MLO is established. The only Satanic organization that we support is O.N.A. and its subsections. We also support a certain American ”Order of vampires” that, to the contrary of all silly ”role-play-vampires”, practice true vampirism. Besides these ”occult” organizations we also support all true outlaw organizations. Hail MLO! Hail WL! Hail Satan!"
You need to put a cover in front of your mic. There's a lot of ''bass'' interferences. It really does not cost much, and it will really improve your sound quality. Anyway very informative video and Happy new year.
Good job on this Video 👍 I am a Huge Dissection Fan , Jon was definitely a Disturbed and Extremely Talented Individual who created some of the Greatest Music I have ever heard
Well first of, varg and euronymous was not boyfriends as stated from the clown talking about somberlain, and werewolf legion had nothing to do with satanism, it was was a criminal prisongang started at norrtälje correctional fascility.
Good video for this topic! I don’t listen to Dissection anymore because of… well, Jon being who he was, but i would be straight up lying if I said they weren’t influential. Even bands like The Black Dahlia Murder cite them as a sonic influence, and I think they were arguably one of the most influential bands in shaping the sound of melodic extreme metal as a whole.
Both covers were made by the same artist: "We were supposed to have another cover for the first record. The cover was supposed to be an angel in a cage with a ripped Bible, and the angel was supposed to be crying blood. But Necrolord wasn't satisfied with that cover, so he started to do a new one. And I sent him a photo of a grand castle from Transilvania, the castle drawn and I told him to base the cover around that one. Then he called me up and said that the cover is ready and that it has the same feeling as "Abigail", so I said: "Yeah, that's great!". We got the cover at the same time as they were going to print it, and then it was too late to change it. We just thought "What the heck, what can we do about that now?", but I admit that it look a bit too much like "Abigail", ha ha!" - from Jon's interview in The Crypt #2 (Scotland, 1995)
So the real question/mystery is still WHO IS 'N.A-A.218'? Is it Vlad after all these years? You did not mention the name of the book that Jon was found dead with at his suicide in the circle he drew for his final ceremony, it was LIBER AZERATE which was a grimoire that was written by the MLO at the time, now called the TOBL (Temple of the Black Light) which still exists and publishes grimoires discussing their evolution of beliefs including the current Liber Falxifer series on Ixaxaar Press. The author (or authors) use their occult name N.A-A.218 as a pen name but the persons actual name is still not available to the public. I've always wondered if it was Vlad after all these years still writing these books like THE BOOK OF SITRA ACHRA & the Liber Falxifer series. The original prints of LIBER AZERATE are impossible to find these days and were only circulated among original members at that time in the mid 2000s but you can still download a free copy online if you search for it translated in English. Does anyone reading this have any information who N.A-A.218 really is???
I live very close Jon's Hometown ( Strömstad) Iand have been there many times, it's very beutiful many cliffs and docks & even has one of the most impressive well kept old architecture. It is bassicly one of swedens fancyiest small cities. I've heard rumors about bullying ther. My Moms friends daugter who goes to the same school ( i suppose) he went to had to drop out from scool bcuse of it,
Great video. Just wanted to add that Jon Nodtveidt also contributed to Nifelheim's album Devil's Force on guitars, and possibly their first album Nifelheim (self title), but I'm not sure. Also, does anyone know what happened to Vlad during or after prison?
Great point! he also worked a lot with the black, all great bands, i wasnt able to find much info at all on vlad, very mysterious guy, but if anyone else has any info that would be awesome to hear! :)
He worked a lot with The Black? JN started The Black. That was his altar ego for lack of a better description. "The Priest of Satan" was era was the true The Black. While The Black was temporarily resurrected with a second full length, "Alongside Death", I don't have anything against it, it just isn't the same to me even though it does have Markus Personen on drums, Jon Nodtveidt vocals and riffs are unmatched. IMO, and I'm sure there's those that'll 100% agree, TPOS and the "Black Blood" Ep are the only The Black that IS The Black. And to veer of the topic a little, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND the hate for "Reimkaos". Great album. No, obviously it's not The Somberlain or Storm, for 11 year hiatus, it's good. Most bands if they come back after so long, it's really hard to make a good follow up, don't continue with the sound of last album, experiments with new elements, band members come and gone, whatever. I'd like to have seen the same line up from storm, but hey. And I've never got how its been compared to a " nu metal " soind. I don't hear that ANYWHERE on Reinkaos. Am I missing something? Anybody that says that bs, please point out to me where that is on that album. And trust me, I FKN HATE any and all of the so called "Nu Metal". It should just be called " Nu Rock" or something. Anyways, rant over.
my apologies, i completely forgot about that. i agree early the black is peak. idk what it is about reinkaos, its still a decent album, i have nothing personally against it its just not my cup of tea personally.

A Swedish TV news show claimed the police was linking the murder with neo nazi youths in gangs and thbut I cannot say whether that’s true or not. Opposite to most other extreme musicians, Jon was not a person to mess with, really dangerous and with an obvious personality disorder going on. Reinkaos...I guess it was made mostly as a musical manifestation of the MLO teachings while most people were expecting the natural sequel to Storm of the Light’s Bane. Also, the Werewolf...I think they were some kind of biker group or something.
Always will be an interesting story, but there are still so many loose ends. I’ve read about his dad on multiple occasions, but was his mother in his life at all? Did his brother know what or who he was involved with outside of the band at the time? If so, what did he think? What was his role or purpose in the Werewolf Legion? Was he being serious about his reasons for ending it, or was this all a front? Maybe he couldn’t come to terms with the fact that he was, actually, a really nice guy (according to multiple of his friends) and couldn’t live with the thought of knowing what he did in Keillers Park. Not to mention spending a good chunk of his 20s behind bars. I’m not claiming to know anything as this is all speculation, of course. Would be cool to get some answers for the fans eventually. Anyways, great video and happy new year.

While I do feel the final album was the weakest, it still had some stand out tracks. That being said, that opening riff of the somberlain, if you’re not expecting it, hits SO FREAKING HARD🤘🤘🤘🤘 I treasure all their albums and demos. Love Blackbraid! Also, check out Spectral Wound, and Saidan. Fantastic melodic black metal.
@@dannypriceandthebloodmoney all 3 of these bands are so good. I've been pushing them on my friends endlessly with each new release. A bit of a different sound but another band that hit me hard recently is Moonlight Sorcery
Tolles video
Wenn sie an irgendetwas im zusammenhang mit der Werwolf-Legion interessiert sind, können sie mich gerne fragen

Delete this before you hate yourself in 5 years. This is embarrassing.

cringe is alot better than murder imo
Open yourself for chaos.
So...aside from Reinkaos, what did Jon do wrong? 🤣
Trigger warnings are not very metal much less black metal.
Some info on the Werewolf Legion from Wikipedia. I remember reading ages ago they were also involved in drugs.

Hail Jon forever!
I like your video sir! And I like cats too! But being accosted by belches and farts at the end??? Not a huge fan of that lol. I also disagree on how it's the "best" bm album ever but hey everyone is different. I'm more of a Sarcofago INRI, Blasphemy, Bestial Warlust, kinda guy than a Dissection guy but melodic stuff is cool sometimes. One of my best friends loves Dissection too. In fact I'll share this video with him now! Thanks brother. and Thanks to fat c**t too! HAILS FROM FLORIDA USA!
i didnt think anyone would see that BAHAHAHAHA
