I absolutely adore how a line from a RUclips skit done by a guy in his basement - a line that could have just been a throwaway joke and quickly forgotten - has turned out to be this big thing for a fandom.

The Katie Brown-Blackburn Effect has turned this team around. She and her husband have reached out the fanbase, gotten a new practice field, and basically put Duke Tobin in charge of building the team. This isn’t Mike Brown’s Bungholes anymore.

@@Bengalsfans Mike gets zero credit for these changes, since he refused to make them the entire time he was in charge. He’s basically ceded all his power to his kids, and is a figurehead if anything.
She's also the reason there is now a Ring of Honor which is awesome.
This is why the Bengals are awesome is they’ll invite you in, let you try on player gear while they’re in the locker room, let get a few reps in on the weights. In such a corporate league the Bengals have still never lost their charm that makes em special.

Despite not being from or living in Cincinnati I’ve had a personal connection to the city since 2012. In February of that year at 12 years old I had to go from Virginia to Cincinnati for something called a bone marrow transplant. Me and my parents pretty much had to drop our lives to live in Cincinnati for the few months I had to recover after getting the transplant. These few months included chemotherapy, taking plenty of medication and physical therapy at one point among many other things. One good thing during it all though was getting to watch the Giants 2nd Superbowl win against the Pats so that was nice. Overall it was one of the hardest few months of my life but thanks to all the doctors and nurses at their children’s hospital the transplant worked and I eventually got to come home. As of February 2nd of this year I’m 11 years post transplant & forever grateful for Cincinnati. Every year since I’ve gone to Cincinnati for a follow up and every year I get a healthy report. Given the 12 years before I knew nothing but health issues so hearing I’m in good health still means a lot. Even though my yearly trips are health checkups every year I find something to do while there which most of the time is going to a Reds game. In 2021 though I went to my first Bengals game. Week one W Vs Minnesota (Also that Friday I saw my favorite artist ever in Billy Joel play at GABP and the Bearcats win Saturday so it was the BEST weekend of my life). Little did I know I was watching the team that’d make the Super Bowl that year and from that week 1 game to now would be a great two year stretch for the Bengals. I regretfully didn’t go see the Bengals in person last year but already got tickets to see them week 6 versus Seattle (and the Bearcats vs Iowa St the day before) this year. All this to say Cincinnati has made a sports fan for life outta me but no amount of support I give can repay the everlasting impact the city gave me.

It was the 2nd Bengals game I’ve ever been to and I’m hoping to see another one next season. Your story is very inspirational my man. It’s stories like yours that makes me never take life for granted,and glad I am healthy and well. As a Bengals fan from Chicago since the early 90s. Kitty goes meow is a new movement hope it continues to grow.
My sister is the enthusiastic fan in the white jersey jumping up and down. We were the first to meet Tom and Johnny as they were walking around doing the stadium tour. It was fantastic meeting the both of you. Tom is even nicer and more approachable than you might think. His love of this sport and community is stronger in person than it appears through the videos. This is pure passion. Thank you for bringing together people in a way that reminds us of what we celebrate together instead of our differences. Thank you for the dedication to St. Jude. Thank you for coming to Cincinnati. You and Johnny and everyone else involved are welcome back any time!

Tom, it was such an incredible joy to meet you at Madtree Brewery on Sunday night. Seeing you in person really hit home for me that the grind can pay off if you really want it to. It also confirmed that someone can achieve his dreams in life while doing right by others. Travel safely, Tom and I look forward to the day we get to officially collaborate together.
I still remember when the Kitty Goes Meow fan reaction skit was brand new. And then the Bengals got to the Superbowl that following season so it was the perfect rallying cry at the right time.

Who dey. Who dey. Who dey wanna see? Tom Grossi! Such a huge crowd showed up for the meetups in Cincinnati. There's a perk for visiting on a Sunday with more individuals having the day off.
During the tour, I noticed P.H.A.T. inside Paycor Stadium is the same font used by the Bengals. Doing this allows the other words in a different font to portray a significant supporting role in the overall message. Mad props for not going monotonous.
Actually getting to walk, run, catch and kick a football on the playing field? Yes, please. Many of us fantasize about this; a friendly gesture of the Cincinnati Bengals to give Tom the privilege of the activity.

I love how the entire AFC North showed so much class, and the Browns did typical Browns things.
In fairness to the Browns it looks like the monster truck event was scheduled b4 Tom made his announcement. Also, NJ & Chicago wouldn't let him in for the same reason & I fear Seattle will be the same since the Sounders are playing in "Put your corporate name here" Field on the 24th.
@@JoeVideoed The Steelers had a Rooney wedding that day and was getting ready for the Taylor Swift concert which is why the field was covered. The Browns could have let him in. for a quick tour. It is for charity. Even if they absolutely felt like they couldn't, they could have donated to the cause. They did nothing.
As an always outsider fan of the Bengals, seeing the support and love shown for Tom by this organization is so supremely amazing.
I may be a browns fan, but they’re still our friendly Ohio rival. They’ve got a great team and a great fanbase.

It’s so wild seeing a whole bunch of people I spent significant time talking to in a video. The fan meetup was such a cool experience and I’m glad I took the drive down to Cincinnati to make it.

I love this fanbase so much. I'm in my 30s and I've always loved this team and it really feels like everything we believed in is finally coming together. We've had so many team that were just sooo close to being championship caliber, but bad luck always seemed to reign down on us. The past two seasons have ended because of miserable luck, but for the first time in my life, I feel like this team is ready to overcome all of that.
Feels so good to have some hope in a team. Been losing too much for too long, so glad the wait is over for us to not be terrible
