Bethany, I'm curious: when you mention using the term "Y2K", do you only use it for items you can clearly tell are from that era? Or do you also apply it to more modern garments that just sorta "look" Y2K?
That patchwork sweater is so cool ! Feeling the clothes is really important . I found a Pomander Place dress by feel . It is really thick and well made so I was like "Hang on a sec".
I do know some resellers sell they’re flawed pieces in bulk for materials or upcycling, but we personally don’t do that. We just usually sell at a discount that varies depending on the flaw
You two are great love your content! Wish my partner would get on board. Maybe one day. I am hitting 14k 90 day total after two years working two full time jobs and taking care of 3 year old twins. I don’t often get to watch much but I can listen thanks so much! My buy costs are fairly low also I stocked up at garage sales for the winter! Near Chicago!
I also found a stunning Sundance dress...thread was broken across bottom flounce seam about 6 inches across. How low quality! They can't even keep their pieces together!
I’m curious to know how resellers can offload damaged and/or flawed items. I suspect they move slower but surely there is a way to market them to creative types to upcycle?
Been reselling since 2001. My experience is, I try to fix what I can. Otherwise…if it’s a demand item, slightly flawed and disclosing those flaws, you will be surprised that flawed items can still get good money. People/buyers appreciate the honesty and will often still pay up.
Hi there! As I’m sure we all do, we REALLY work to avoid having any flawed items. If worth fixing, we’ll try. As mentioned though, if we do pick them up, usually we offload them for a fraction of the price or we toss them and consider it a loss
It's always abundantly clear that you know what you're talking about. You know your s***, so to speak. But everything you have to say in this video holds more weight than usual because of that awesome Pink Floyd shirt.
Sundance dress is awesome. Easy fix
Thank you!!❤
I would pick up that sundance dress so fast even seeing the flaw. Very mendable! I hope you get it fixed !
Yes, please keep these videos coming. So informative and helpful. Thank you!

Those lace pants are so Janis Joplin!😎
Yes!! They’re so nice :)
You should keep the dress - so pretty.
Aw thank you! It already sold though - but to one of our favorite buyers! Haha
Levi's brand new were $8 in the 70s.
I've definitely had a few tragedies lol
We’ve definitely all been there haha
Is there a market for lots of flawed clothing for either material or someone who will fix and resell?

I often sell my items flawed at a lower price. Some people are handy with a needle and thread. Unlike me. 😊

I sell them for a dollar or two at my yard sale
😊
