    After setting up Intel(R) Optane Memory or the RAID configuration was built. Sata Mode Selection must be changed to RAID mode to avoid unknown issues. (Also CPU Fan Error).
    It appears this error screen occurs when the CMOS battery is flat.

    I found out: The problem appears only after disconnecting the power supply of the PC with the CMOS battery being flat. In BIOS you'll probably note that the time indication is at 0:00h after starting your machine. To check battery voltage, you can enter the Advanced Menu and MONITOR, there you should be able to see an indication for the 3.3V power supply. In my case it showed 0.01V. After changing the battery, the problem is likely to appear one more time, because the CMOS wasn't able to save essential parameters beforehand with a flat battery. Now you can enter the actual date and time in your BIOS menu manually, in particular if you intend to work offline the web. When restarting your PC the second time with a fresh battery (it should produce 3.3V in the beginning) the problem shouldn't occur anymore. CAUTION: Be careful when working inside your PC! Among others, you should meet precautions that your body and your environment is free of static electricity. When uncertain, consult an expert!

    My voltage was reading at 3.3V in my bios and I was only getting the issue when I booted up in the morning. If I shut my PC down and booted back up in the same day the error wouldn't pop up again. BUT replacing the battery still fixed it!! Since replacing it and booting the PC up TWICE there has been no error. Thanks for the video, you're a life saver!!

    For me this was it. Onece i replaced the battery it did the "bios boot" once more so i made it boot anyway and when i was in windows i changed the date, turned the pc off again (without electricity from the powr supply unit). I waited a few minutes and then it turned on normally in windows. When you change battery check that the the replacement you have is the same higth of the one that was in the mother board.

    Hey! Sorry to bother you, but I have a question regarding this issue. (bit of a long read, sorry)
    You see, I usually turn off my PC completely, meaning I shut it down from Windows and then turn off the voltage regulator it's connected to (sometimes I even unplug the voltage regulator from the wall outlet). I've been doing this for more than a decade with all my PCs and never had a problem.
    The PC I currently have is almost 3 years old; as of late, when I press the power button (mind you, the RGB lights on the motherboard's logo light up normally as soon as I turn on the voltage regulator), the PC turns on for like 5 seconds (the fans start spinning and their lights turn on, the GPU fans start to spin, the CPU cooler starts to spin, the hard drive turns on, etc), then it suddenly shuts down completely for like 2 seconds (all the lights turn off, all the fans fans stop spinning, I can hear the HHD turn off) and then, after one or maximum two seconds, it immediately turns on again but this time for good, all on its own. When this happens, after the TUF logo shows on screen, it sends me straight to the American Megatrends screen with the exact same message you show in the video ("After setting up Intel Optane Memory or the RAID config was built....").
    I haven't changed anything regarding RAID mode in the BIOS settings in fear of losing all my data, I usually just enter the BIOS setup and immediately exit without saving any changes, then the PC just boots normally and works without issue for the rest of the day. The time and date are all correct when I enter the BIOS settings, and as far as I have seen, none of my settings seem to ever change or reset. I haven't updated the BIOS at all (it's the default factory version).
    Do you know what could be causing this? If it was just the American Megatrends thing I wouldn't worry too much, but since it does this weird thing where it turns on, off and then on again, I'm a bit concerned. You think replacing the battery is the solution? Or do you think this could be caused by something else? (such as a faulty power supply or, god forbid, a faulty MOBO). Sorry to ask you this, but I've searched everywhere and there aren't many answers for this particular issue I'm experiencing. Thanks in advance!

      I have not had your issue. I solved the problem with this error by simply replacing the CMOS battery. This is a simple and low cost step that one could try to see if it works. Disclaimer: you should have someone qualified to do this if you are not a DIY person!

      @@Zareh_Abrahamian I've already contacted someone to help me replace the battery, but now I'm concerned it might also be due to a faulty power supply. I guess we'll see. Thanks for answering!

    At 2:29, what does "Finally, I started the computer a couple of times" and "after computer adjusted the time" mean? You mean the error won't be fixed in the first botting after replacing the CMOS battery with a new one? So I have to long-press the power button a few times until the error message is gone?

    • @Zareh_Abrahamian
      @Zareh_Abrahamian  Год назад +1

      It was a long time ago but if I remember correctly it did not work after the first time. The point is I got rid of the error by changing the battery. What's important is that you do not change the RAID settings suggested by the error. This may cause serious problems.
