@TheLiza8989 al contrario, da quì si poteva capire che la mafia non era solo quella brutale, ma quella invisibile che nessuno vedeva(si parlava nei giornali sì, ma si andava ad intuito).Ma se già da allora il personaggio Tano parlava di nomi eccellenti, politici banchieri persino ecclesiastici, giudici come carnevale che faceva uscire per davvero i capimafia. per compiere le stragi e via dicendo del primo livello il riferimento era la collusione con la politica, o connivenza.

It puzzles me, why his role in this season wasn't bigger then 10 minutes in the final episode, because he had been one of the lead characters, Was Girone too busy for the role or didn't he like the story? I must admit that i have a little bit of mixed feeling about season 7. I really liked the portrayal of a city where innocent people are strangled by organized crime, but on the other hand the weakest link for me is the Cattani case. As a continuation of the previous seasons it doesn't make much sense to me, worse is that the person who is "really" responsible for Corrado's dead, is never mentioned in previous stories
I read that Remo Girone was supposed to be a regular cast but he had health issues and couldn't be part of it. As far as Cattani goes you mean Prof. Ramonte? It was never really said that he was solely responsible for his death, just one of the men who ordered his death. I guess they just wanted to say that more than a few people were involved

@@rebusdan Yeah I was wondering too. Imagine Tano facing Saverio Bronta who was like younger version of Tano, that would have been interesting. It's too bad there aren't any english forums about this series so we could gain more informations as I don't speak italian
@@martifrey3357 Now you mention the name of Saverio, it also could be that they write his character and storyline in a later stadium as a replacement to that of Tano's... I believe even in Italian there is not much information found on la piovra and that's indeed a pity.
@@rebusdan Yes it's very possible about Saverio. There are many things I would like to know about this series but there is little to no information avaible unfortunately..

Che sceneggiato ! Anticipò molte cose..anzi, le mise in luce
La più bella produzione italiana dalla 1 alla 10 semplicemente unica .....
Remo Girone è uno dei nostri più fini attori di teatro, benché lavori anche al cinema e, ovviamente, in televisione, dove Tano Cariddi (un incrocio immaginifico tra Giulio Andreotti e Michele Sindona, comparso dalla terza serie) divenne il suo personaggio più popolare e al quale ha dato molto nel rispetto anche del pubblico meno "raffinato". Doveva essere fra i protagonisti anche di questa settima serie, ma a causa di un tumore alla prostata, per curarsi, dovette rinunciare. Ma quando stette un po' meglio, gli fu ritagliata questa splendida partecipazione straordinaria della fine, preludio all'ultima serie per la quale si dovettero aspettare quasi sei anni (nel frattempo, furono realizzate la serie 8 e 9 che però erano ambientate negli anni '50, e dove Tano era giovanissimo) ma che chiuse la lunga saga (aperta nel 1984) a inizio 2001.
