This is the weirdest bluegrass I've ever heard. What the hell do you call this? It sounds like a combination of rock, alternative & smooth jazz - not bluegrass. I mean, I like progressive bg, but hey, this is ???? OK, so I've got an open mind......prove I'm wrong. I hear a little Bob Dylan here, ya' know?
I call it funky bluegrass. I don't know what the term would be though. I saw these guys at a music festival in Arkansas once and it was a unique sound to say the least. Definitely a good band to go see.
This music is apart of the jam band genre. I got into it in the early 2000s...they are similar to another band called widespread panic just with a bluegrass feel to it.
Railroad earth is so slept on
Amazing group of guys! I'm glad I had the chance to hang and listen to their music. ❤
I just can’t make sense of this at all. I feel like I just saw him yesterday... RIP Andy.
Miss him every day. You know he's playing in Heaven with Mikey & Jerry.

not to be missed if and when they play within 400 miles of your house - make a weekend of it and see them both nights :P

Hey Bluegrass Underground......Turn the volume up on the video!!
Not so poppy but catchy countryish jam music . How not more popular ???? Melody flows smooth like a river bubbling down the hillside
You cant tell me this scene ain't got no heart. "You just gotta poke around". [Leftover Salmon], [Greensky Bluegrass], [Billy Strings]

Yes A Smith thats a good description of it. Some Grateful Dead influences too. But just enjoy and call it Railroad Earth!
