I was born in 1950. I always thought it should have been 1925.
I'm only 71, these were my parent's songs. Luckily, the radio was always on from the year of my birth, 1951, throughout my childhood. Then, at 21 years old I got a job at Pittsburgh's BIG BAND radio station and rejuvenated my love of this music. How wonderful it is to hear again!
HOWEVER: Does NOT the technology exist to N O T play the commercials in the middle of a song? Yes, it DOES exist. I suggest that you USE IT!

I was born in the year 1992 and all this music seems familiar to me. The reason I looked up for these songs is because when I was 12 years old and until now I'm having strange dreams about different women I'm dancing with, what's funny is that I'm a Filipino and those women in my dreams are all tall and have blond hair which is not a Filipino trait. The songs I hear and used to dance in my dreams, sounds very similar to these songs. It's so weird as if I'm having these feelings that I already heard this song and as if I was alive when these songs are at their peak of popularity

This always reminds me of my work in the elderly home. They listen to these kind of songs and I loove working with this on the speakers
I did an internship at a nursing home. Music was their therapy. Turn it on and they’d remember their past. Theyd smile, dance, even the residents in the wheelchairs would dance. It put me in a good mood. Music brings people together.

I must have had a past life in the 20s or so because I've always loved this music and I was certainly not around back then, but oh my God Fred Astaire!!!! I would watch his movies over and over and still do today. The music is so much fun, thank you for sharing it with us here!
Kathswolf: Actually this is 30s. In the era before that it was interesting but this is typical of around 35 or 6. I was there, even if I was small I had ears.

My family and I went to the Winchester mansion. Before we even went inside for the tour, I heard the song “strange enchantment” by Ozzie Nelson. I quickly jotted down the odds I heard so I could search for the song after the tour. 2 days later, I find the song, and now I just listened to this entire video. I love it. It’s beautiful. I’m 17 years old, often very open minded with music, and I’m so glad to have found this. I like to imagine what life was like, for the people to whom this was the norm. They didn’t know of other music, like the kind we have today. A different era. A completely different person of music, gosh, I’m so lucky to be able to enjoy all of it.

SOME OF THESE VINTAGE MUSICS I STILL REMEMBER. I WOULD SAY THESE CANNOT BE COMPARED TO THE MUSICS OF THE NEW GENERATION. THEY ARE SO LOVABLY AND UNFORGETTABLE.
The life then wasn't good, though. The Depression and then the World War. But it's the music from that time that has somehow been forgotten in style. There are simply no composers of that kind alive now. Nobody in this time has even thought of creating something timeless and the world will be a lesser place for it.
I always listen to this. I feel like this relaxes my soul and I was born in the 90s but old songs appeal to me more than the songs nowadays.
Keep on doing it, too. Beautiful stuff. Once would have been lost.

It wasn't really - but the music was great.
Love is still pure and beautiful. The songs don't deal with sex very directly, but it's there--a bit sentimentalized, but there. It's mostly about the nostalgia for good sex, which "pure" or otherwise is always nice.
I enjoy the nostalgia but the times were VERY difficult. The not so great, world wide depression. This is the music of my parents Era and I'm 71.
This type of music gaves me the appropriate pace of my daily activities...very calming and it doesn't distact me even if i'm conversing with my visitors...
When I Listen To This It Makes Me Feel So Emotional. So Beautiful The Acoustics In The Old Microphones Projecting The Vocal Waveform From These Awesome Artists. I Love It, I'm From '73, You Know I Love You, Baby, Even More Lately, Cause You Drove Me Crazy, But Know I Know You Love Me, Baby!!!
