Yup! When I was in high school my marching band director told us don’t stop marching for anything, if I have a heart attack and fall, March over me! This would have been a fail IF he was using a Sousaphone. If he was, he wouldn’t have been able to hold his pants, and keep playing at the same time, because the hand he was using to hold his pants would have to be the one he uses to press down on the valves, allowing him to play the notes to the song. As someone who literally had their cargo shorts rip right down the backside before comp day rehearsal and had to march in them for a while exposed, I salute him. 🫡
There was this one time during practice our mellophone player ripped her pants. And our alto sax player would roll up the bottom of his shorts because he wanted the upper part of his leg tanned like the rest but it would be horrible because one time our mellophone wasn’t there and when I marched backwards for the first movement all I could see was so much of his legs😭
Wow that was AMAZING. Totally NOT a fail. He was confident and knew all his counts. I'm in my 2nd year if marching band and this is what our band needs to become.
