- You can use this quit bad habits hypnosis for both external unhealthy habits like drinking alcohol, smoking, and also negative thought patterns and obsessive-compulsive patterns of behaviour.
If you are new to hypnosis and wondering if hypnosis will work for you, think for a moment about the negative pattern or habit you want to break. When do you realize you are doing it? Is it at the end, or in the middle of this pattern? Or if you catch the beginning of it, is there a sense of dread, almost helplessness that compels you to follow through? Almost as if you are on auto-pilot or in a trance state, you could say.
If so, I would say consider this a de-hypnosis session, in that you will free your mind from those old ways of thinking, feeling and acting.

I guide you to regain control of your state of calm and you choose one habit or pattern you wish to break. You build confidence as you remain calm even while you think of this old pattern.
Your subconscious then shows you what triggers these patterns, whether it is a thought, emotion, time of day, place, preceding event or another person.
You then go through choosing a new healthy response to a thought or emotion, breaking those triggers.
You then cut cords to that old behaviour and travel to the near future where you are in a situation where this old pattern or habit used to come up but you simply don't respond the old way any more. You are free. You are the master, not the slave of your own mind.

I decided to finally quit smoking today & you posted this. It's a sign.
You can do it!! Don't give up. I know in the beginning it's hard to resist the urge, but it does get easier. Stick with it and you will eventually get to a place where the thought of having a cigarette grosses you out. I just passed 9 years. Good luck!!

I also quit smoking cold turkey, best feeling of not being obsessed over having to do something in order to continue living.
If you have difficulties, might I suggest you switch to another healthy substitute, like drinking tea or chewing gum or drinking water instead when you get the urge :)

15 years of smoking, gave it up automatically after I quit a job that sucked the living daylight out of me, the smoking helped me to "soothe". Better to find something else that soothes like yoga breathing excercises or mindfulness
Smoking is that false friend that pretends to help but literally sucks the life out of you. If you take away the negatives (and there are many), the ONLY thing smoking encourages is deeper breathing which you can do without the cigarette. So that can be the go-to and place hands on your lower abdomen to have something to do with your hands and slow and deepen the breath. One small tip I'd say is that when people practice diaphragmatic breathing, they sometimes inhale too fast which triggers the stress response so breath both deeply and slowly. That literally is all that smoking does and you can save time and your health by eliminating the cigarettes. We are all cheering you on! 💛 Sarah

You have so soothing voice, i sleep fast. These videos are my savior, my time to heal. This is my first day of rest of my life. I have said goodbye to my slowly killing ”friend” sigarettes. I dont want to die because of my own stupidy. I want this, i will do it, for better quality of life.

So happy that you are making a change. And thats exactly right, to realize that this is a false friend. If you were to stop to consider the habit as an actual person how would they behave? They'd take money from you but promise something in return but never really deliver. They'd take up your time but never give you any time back. They isolate you and tell you that you don't need anyone else but them. But they don't really offer any comfort, any solace. And slowly but surely they just don't steal your time, your money but also your health.

This was a first from one of your videos but I came out with a headache in on my back right side. It’s fading but does anyone know why this may be?
I've never heard of that before, and it can be coincidental too or some kind of abreaction (emotional response) from releasing the old is a slight possibility. More important is how you feel the morning after when considering your old habit or negative pattern now. Hope that helps, Sarah
