you don't know how many times i've had people look at me like i was nuts when they saw me cutting aluminum on a table saw. it CAN be done. that being said, if you did it with the sawblade in the picture then you are braver than i because that is simply the wrong blade for the job. more teeth, smaller gullets, less hook, and a triple chip grind.you got what looks to be a 10/50 15 degree ATB. you need at minimum a 10"/ 80 tooth with a less aggressive hook to cut with a much reduced chance of the blade grabbing the workpiece.
Nice! I think I would have made a jig to cut it though. A little risky for the blade to grab those pieces and fling them.
