The ending battle in Avatar is definitely underrated.
Lotta people talk about Lord of the Rings, Saving Private Ryan, Return of the Jedi, etc.
But Avatar deserves more recognition IMO. That hype build up and with Eywa coming in clutch is just so cinematic.
Avatar's Box office figure speaks for itself. Such a masterpiece. I remember I've been eagerly waiting 1 year for it's theater release and boy all the wait was so worth it.
@@kripler3001 Well, it was released in 3D in the early days when it was still relatively novel and a big deal, which also helped boost those numbers. Not that it doesn't deserve its success, it does - but I think the 3D aspect helped drive it a lot, because it truly was like nothing before in many ways as a result.

I would have to say the ending battle isn’t underrated. It seems that for people who have seen Avatar, know that it is one of the best cinematic moments in cinema ever.
It's absolutely the sweetest thing that the dogs come to comfort the girls when they see or hear that they are distressed. Beautiful creatures all of them, people and pooches! 🥰

The Eywa nature reinforcements was the greatest epic moment there is. This is one of the most well envisioned sci fi ever made.

Yup. Since Eywa is the neutral network centerpoint that spans that whole moon, what we just witnessed was a divine intervention. 🌳🌌🪐

Watching the 3D version in an IMAX theater was by far the most incredible movie experience of my life. There were reports of people becoming depressed because they couldn't visit Pandora.
I bought a 3D TV so I can watch it like that in my house
I will get really depressed when the 2nd movie comes out because I just love everything with water and this is even more beautiful than the forest.

Honestly when I watched this on Blu-ray i was so amazed. Being a Native American born to 3 different tribes, out of the 550+ tribes. It really made me cry, reading and hearing stories of massacres from elders and my family. My family from my mother's side goes all the way back to a massacre that happened over 100 years ago about 80 miles south of my home. But yes, a very lovely movie and reaction from you girls 👍.
In the extended cut, Tsutey survived but was put out of misery by Jake, his last words were him being proud to have fough alongside his "brother"

I had forgotten just how beautiful (and tearful) this movie was. No wonder it became the #1 movie of all time. James Cameron is actually working on a second movie. I also LOVE your dogs. They always seem to know exactly when you all need a kiss. ;-)

Avatar in IMAX 3D was the 2nd best movie-going experience of my life. The first was Titanic in 1997-1998
it was definitely something special. one-of-a-kind for sure
The trailer for Avatar 2 was shown at the IMAX 3D screening of Doctor Strange 2 in my area. God, it looks even more breathtaking. It ruined the actual movie I bought a ticket for because it was less magical, lol.
I can't wait for it... Avatar: The Way of Water... it's going to be astonishing!

Oh yeah the sequel is being made or almost finished, I can't wait until it's released, The second movie is going to introduce new environments on the world of Pandora. This was a really great movie on my opinion, it really echoes what took place in the United States when Britain first started to colonize America, The Native Americans were nearly wiped out over greed.

Ladies to give you a heads up, Avatar 2 is going to be released in the United States in theaters in December 2022.
I have seen trailers from the movie and it looks spectacular even better more realistic than the first Avatar movie. Jake and Neytiri now have children together and the new movie takes place on Pandoras seashore with tropical fantastic creatures in the ocean. They have taken refuge with a seaside tribe. This is a James Cameron movie.
R.I.P. colonel Miles Quaritch, the hero of humanity who gave his life fighting with deserter who sold his homeplanet and comrades for an alien girl. Thank you for your service, sir. With those anaptanium you mannaged to get, you gave us a chance to outluve energy crysis.
This movie was directed by James Cameron, who made Terminator 1-2, Titanic and Aliens.

Well, they live in Bulgaria, and were teens when this movie came out, and internet was a thing, but still insanely slow in most places.
I missed the hype about this movie because I was deployed at the time and did not see it until two years after returning.
It's not that difficult to miss something that is big here in the US if you live in a different country.

can't WAIT for Avatar: the Way of Water. this was such an emotional movie and really a game changer. I know James Cameron delayed production for the sequel for years because the technology was not where he wanted it to be in order to film certain aspects. when the trailer released just this week, I was amazed at how much better it looks, even if the original looks spectacular. it just goes to show how far technology has come the last decade! love your reaction ── very appropriate 💙

@Daniel M. Script issues, took a while to line up the cast, then Cameron filmed all 4 back to back. At least it will be only 2 years between each release.
@@jimmyc3755 2 years between each film still seems like a lot if you say he made them back to back. Back to back movies were usually released every year (LotR, Harry Potter)
@@MacCheekz1990 Don't think you understand what it takes to do films like any of those you mentioned. Did you know for LotR the three films were shot simultaneously? It took PJ a year after that to release the first film. 2 years total. Also keep in mind PJackson had a extra year to finish the second film (2 years from when he finished it), and 2 years to finish the last one. So we saw them a year apart, but they took 2 years each to actually release. Harry Potter was mostly human actors and some effects. Plus they were from books like LotR so the scripts were mostly set. Harry took 11 years to release the 8 films from the start of filming. 7 and 8 filmed back to back. They were in a hurry due to the aging cast.
Consider the first Avatar took 14 months just for the effects to be rendered alone every other year is Hyperspace travel. Only the first two have completed principal filming. Keep in mind that Avatar 1 shot in 2005 and was released in Dec. 2009. Every other year is understandable. Plus it's Cameron, he of course need things brought up to his standards. Its been 15 years since Avatar filmed and he wanted and got all the latest toys. Also films have to be formatted for Imax, 3Dstill?, Digital, HD and 4k. Also Avatar grossed 2bww, now 2.84bww. Not sure they are in any hurry to have these films release a year apart just so we do not have to wait. The Avatar 2 - title "The way of water" initial teaser is still being talked about. Worth the wait, we are only talking about 8 months.

I saw this movie either when it came out or right when it hit the pay channels, can't remember. Never felt the need to revisit it. You ladies haved cured me of my apathy.
Great reaction, this movie is great and very beautiful. I watched it it the cinema when it first came out and it was breathtaking
yes human being sometimes suck. what the sky people did to the N'avi is basically when Americans did to the native Indian tribes lile the cheyenne ... even down to the killing their women and children in their spiritual homeland in massacres and overpowering them with tech... so yea this movie draws from real human nature and incidents

It’s hard to watch Ellie and Viki watching this movie… but I can’t look away.
Now imagine watching this with the 3D so immersive that sparks and ash float into the theater. You are absolutely there in the destruction of Home Tree…. So wrenching.
