    Since payet left West Ham to go to his hometown club Marseille, they actually went to a Europa league final in that meantime, West Ham were fighting to stay in the premier league and right now floating around mid table going no where in any cups.. so yeah he did a good move going somewhere he feels home and doing more than west ham

    • @lestahass8849

    • @danimaster6647
      @danimaster6647 5 лет назад +34

      Sure Marseille are a bit better than West Ham but Marseille aren't one of the top teams in Europe too. They are 5th place in the French league which apart from PSG doesn't have any top teams in it.
      After the EM 2016 where Payet was one of the best players of the tournament there a lot better teams interested in him. He could have played for almost any top team in England (Except Manchester City who had De Bruyne, Silva in his position), Juventus, or Atlethico Madrid. Bilic even said that indirectly that champions league is where he should have played.

      If he stayed, we could’ve built off of the first season he played for us. We could’ve had a team with Arnautovic up front with Payet and Anderson just behind. With those three players we couldve pushed for europa league sooner, but still I reckon we’ve got a good chance of europa league next season.
