- Def one of my favorite animes and one of my favorite amvs. Featuring the song Heaven's Not Enough by Steve Conte. REMINDER: I did not make this amv I am simply sharing this amazing work of art with others that I know will appreciate it's splendor. I found it from:

17 years later, I'm still listening...
So am I...
Same here
And still crying in reply
Same 😢
The dedication, respect man
Everyone was suffering in Wolf's Rain, truly a masterpiece. No bad guys or good guys in this anime, everyone fighting their inner demons.
I swear I watched this video in 2006 when i have 16 years old and now watch it in 2020
im 30 😢😢
best nostalgie 😢😢
time flies my frend i wached whit 20 now 36
tinking of heating a bullet, thinking of all the faliures an loses knowing that the future is as dark and unforgiving i hope the west to yuou even do i dont know you
watched it on adult swim when I was 13. watched it again 5 years later on youtube. now I'm 30. :(
I swear I did too but I was 13 in 2006 and now I’m 30 but I love it :) also proud of my younger self for just…feeling this series so deeply, and now that I’m older it makes so much more sense to me why it hit me so hard. When I was younger I didn’t really know why I loved it or how exactly I related to it, but now it makes a lot of sense with what I’ve struggled with in life and what I’ve come to value. So many songs from wolf’s rain still make me so emotional 😭
It’s been 19 years since Wolf’s Rain released and it has still stayed with me. I think it always will along with this song. The most underrated anime ever created. It deserves to be spoken about with the greats. I have yet to experience a story in any medium that impacted me like this one.
True
Yes definitely a classic I don’t hear enough about. A newer anime I’d same is similar in some ways is To Your Eternity. Maboroshi film gave me similar vibes as well.
2022 and its still one of the best original animes ever produced.
What is this show? My favorite old anime style show is Berserk 1997, but I am interested in this.
@@kikibarrios1231 do you not read the tittle of the video wolf's rain?
@@kikibarrios1231
It's pretty painful, but also kinda cathartic too watch.
Maybe a little weird.
@@Ja7ah When I posted the comment, for a strange reason Auto-Play Enabled full screen, could not see the title and only comment section loaded with thumbnail. I left this comment as a backway to retrace in case of my history not showing the video.
Watching this series was the most liberating experience of my life. You have got to finish the whole thing to really understand everything. Also it is so powerful you might cry during the beginning middle and end! Please do not spoil the scenes by watching amvs or reading comments! Just go finish the series its not long at all!
Agreed, you'll cry your eyes out at parts. But OMG what a gorgeous feeling to be moved by such a story, no human would be untouched by it. This anime refines one's spirit....
I've seen it.
I agree 100%
I've Loved this series since I first found it I don't even know how many years ago at this point. It was on the Saturday night adult swim anime lineup on cartoon Network. Soon as I was old enough to have my own money I bought the entire box set on DVD
Thank you.
Before Clannad, Elfen Lied, or even Grave Of The Fireflies this anime made me cry so hard. The animation is pricelessly done too.
Such high quality for the time.
And having Yoko Kanno in charge of the OST
Toboe got me good
i cried like a baby that last ep i can admit with 0 shame lol
@@cpt191021 no I lost it like a man, I cried so unbelievably hard in front of my girlfriend and I'm so proud of my feelings
Hello from 2020
Let's sit and look what this year will bring
2021 update: Wow, wow- Did everyone make it through?
Corç Borç 2020 and this anime still makes me cry
this year has been terrible
Oh My Gosh. This anime's plot was the end of the world??? OH MY GOSH
@@corcborc2547 More like, this anime's plot was that there is no paradise at the end of the tunnel and no matter how hard you fight, the world won't change. It's dark and sad and still, to this day, one of my favorites.
Murder wasp and covid-19 oh and another world war
What a gorgeous anime. They should re-master and re-release it. Would knock people over.
no leave it be. they will destroy it just like neon. theyll add all kinds of shitty politics and put in new woke shitty VAs. all for a new coat of paint. its perfect as is, you dont update the mona lisa
indeed
We finally made it to >1 Million views! Well deserved
indeed ❤
17 years later, still one of my favorite animes.
God this anime had me in a puddle of tears.... Just finished it today and can't stop thinking about this anime
Even though Wolf's Rain has one of the saddest endings I've ever seen or read in any fictional story, it's also one of the most beautiful. I was amazed when I saw the scene at 4:30. It was so sad to watch, but it was just so...beautiful.
"Heaven is not enough, If when I get there I don't remember you.."
Never heard anything this true..
I guess this sums up the ending and the whole meaning.. :*)
yeah. so dark . " The Homyna i once loved no longer exists"
Song still gives me the chills......
heaven's not enough
if when you get there..
just another blue
and heaven's not enough
you think you've found it
and it loses you
you've thought of all there is
but not enough
and it loses you in a cloud
"there" most everything is nothin'
that it seems
"where" you see the things you only wanna see
I'd fly away
to a higher plane
to say words I resist
to float away
to sigh
to breathe.... forget
and heaven's not enough
if when I'm there I don't remember you
and heaven does enough
you think you know it
and it uses you
I saw so many things
but like a dream
always losing me in a cloud
cause I couldn't cry
cause I turned away
couldn't see the score
didn't know the pain
of leaving yesterday really far behind
in another life
in another dream
by a different name
gave it all away
for a memory
and a quiet lie
and I felt the face
of a cold tonight
still don't know the score
but I know the pain
of leaving everything really far behind
and if I could cry
and if I could live what truth I did then take me there
heaven goodbye
More than 10 years and still one of my favorite AMVs. Also an incredible anime worthy of Top 10, and one of my favorite soundtracks ever. So much greatness in one video
This one still..remembers...from so long ago...This one will always....
Almost twenty years later and this was still the most tragic anime ever created.
naruto99124
I stopped watching anime after I finished this series. There was nothing more.
I’m always looking for people that have seen and understood the significance of this philosophically charged series.
Yeah it is... but i do think that Texhnolyze is even more tragic than this one...
Briken Gjika
The artwork on the one you mentioned is phenomenal.
@@Whatever12345678928 Yeah Yoshitoshi Abe's character design is masterpiece. Also the entire setting of Texhnolyze and cyberpunk stuff is just wonderfully done and so atmospheric.
Try Saikano dude, even worse than WR.
I feel so sorry for Cher and Hubb.
I cried because of what happened to them
I feel sorry for all of them...
Only other show that made me really think about the story like I did with Evangelion. Truly a diamond in the ruff which unfortunately doesn't get as much praise as it needs.
Sad that Eva made ya think lmao.....
+Legato Bluesummers what a douche bag response
Tommy .TwoFiggas Another Eva fan I take it? Haha, pathetic kids these days.... If you didn't find Neon Genesis iffy then your obviously a 90's child and missed all the good anime.. Darkside Blues, Demon City Shinjuku and the list keeps going.. Then again most 90's kids have only recently seen Neon Gen. Mid 90's was all about Macross and Berserk... I bet your favorite Eva scene is the end with Shinji standing over the bed ;)
+Legato Bluesummers The argument wasn't whether or not eva was a good series or not. It was if it made you think. You obviously picked his comment out because you seem to be some pretentious anime fan, which is a pretty pathetic concept. Rethink your life man.
Ever watch something that sucks that makes ya think? Let me guess, Evangelion?!?!
i think that this was one of the saddest animes i've watched..
I'm here after exactly ten years and this is still my favorite anime
for me its after 15 years exactly (2005)
i was 15 years old, now im 30 😢
is still my best anime 😢😢
@@gharibshamal5932 you're rigth! It's still the best anime. I was thinking that would be awesome if the author will produced a spin off about Darcia
I watched many movies and animes. Wolf's Rain is the only that put me into tears. Cher and Toboe still break my heart even after several years since I watched it
Saw this show again after roughly 7 years passed, it is really good and oddly enough it has quite a bit of parallels with Texhnolyze. Both shows are depicting humanity on its deathknell and are fairly bleak, also have a bit of Nietzsche in them, though they go about it differently and Wolf's Rain is more centered around our planet and uses the wolves to showcase how humanity destroys its only habbital place and turns it into a hell while in the pursuit of its own heaven. Glad I rewatched it, made a world of difference, and it goes without saying that the OST is phenomenal and fits the show perfectly. One of my favorites for sure.
Such beauty and sadness it makes me want to cry.
The saddest anime Ive ever seen!!! :'(
Watch Texhnolyze or The Rose Of Versailles.
The grave of fireflies
Javad Hasan my best anime never see, and make me sorrow
the beauty of it actually makes me move forward
@@vincentproductions8963 Ergo Proxy brings me to the other animes like these... masterpiece
This is a masterpiece nothing comes close to the unique experience this anime provided.
I just started watching this series......wow.
I've been watching this anime since I was 13. I instantly fell in love with it. It connects with so many people, and so many hard times that people will experience. Love, Loss, Heartbreak, Suffering. It connects with everyone, and is extremely meaning full.
Rest in peace. Keiko Nobumoto.
This has been my favourite anime for years and it will be always the most beautiful story ever made.
This is one of the few animes that has made me cry. All the chars, even the villains tug at your heart strings.
It has been over 10 years when I watched it for the first time , and now I'm 26 and it still touch my soul to the very bottom of it.
I may have failed in finding love in life, but there was still beauty in my life that keep me going, like this excellent work of art.
This is beautiful. The song, the show, the video...there's no other word to describe it.
i love Wolf's Rain.
''You think you know it,
And it uses you''.
I've always watched this video so many times throughout the years thank you to who ever made it. It has helped me get through the dark times and the good times............
I listen to this every night before bed. Thanks for finding and uploading this for everyone.
This anime is still one of my top tiers. I passed on sleep happily just to watch this an never regretted it once T.T
This is what makes an amazing AMV: you never watch the anime, but after seeing the AMV you want to watch the anime badly.
This is one of those rares and amazings AMV's! Thank you! :)
10 years later, I still want the female version.
Moebius female version ????? female version of what ?
Sofia Akselin WTF ??
Female version of the song
Moebius 10 years later i'm still waiting for Season tow
I know, it's so unfair that BONES won't release all the Yoko Kanno stuff that everyone actually wanted
2018. You're not forgotten.
Commander Shepard 💖
Omg
12 years and still makes me tear up.
am i the only one who still listens to this?
Nop
yay!

this song is just wonderful✨🐺✨
Hige running to the castle ... Darcia walking towards Jaguara... this song starts. Wonderful...
I was so obsessed with this show back in 2009-10 and I always come back to it, love this song💚 and this amv 💕
God, it has been years since I've watched the anime. And still, started crying after rewatching this vid ;_;

I made a vow to myself, that I will keep until I die: watch wolf's rain every November, no matter what.
How are you holding up?
Honestly, this song will always have a place in my heart
Heaven's not enough, if when I'm there I don't remember you....
best soundtrac ever made for anime :)and maybe Nana
Hi there cutie
Escaflowne has a good sountrack behind it also and Ga-Rei Zero
Very hard choice. Mushishi, Samurai Champloo, Wolf's Rain, Trinity Blood and Last Exile.
Wolf's Rain- the best anime i have ever watched. Phenomenal storyline, entrancing characters, incredibly powerful music.
It's been 15 years... and I'm still having a goosebumps listening to this song, just like I used to back then. Wow.
This brings back a lot of memories.
I was so sad with the ending of the series, I wrote a silly fanfic story of this with my own OC. I really like all of the wolves, and yeah even Darcia to a certain extend.
My story: Stranger Among Wolves

This anime is pretty amazing! part of my childhood and this song...hell! better than those shits in MTV
Still crying my eyes out. Can't even listen to the whole thing.. 😥
well after years and years this amv is still my favorite ! the song/scenes are perfect!
I'll be honest, I dont think Wolfs Rain is a masterpiece or anything, but the soundtrack integrates with its themes in a way that elevates it so much and makes me keep coming back years after I have forgotten its characters and story. Moody, understated and melancholic, yet somehow also hopeful and uplifitng: simply superb!
I do think it's a deeply underrated series. The ovas in particular are incredible, IMHO.
Best anime in the world
i have kept on seeing this one amv for 3 years and it still brings chill's down my back

holy shit that was beautiful, i love this anime
2018 and it still goes on.
Definitely. I personally wasnt drawn in by the start with train scene and all, but stuck with it and was hooked. It once you get to know all the characters you care about their stories and how they all change, and as its a complete series at least you know it wont be dragged out with no conclusion. Theres a beauty in the animation thats hard to describe too :)
Read the bible and re-watch this series. I tied together so many things I never caught before reading the Christian Bible.
Cheza = Christ (The Flower Maiden = The Messiah)
Kiba, Toboe, Hige, Tsume = Disciples
Hige's betrayal = Jedus' betrayal
Wolves = Jews
Blue(half wolf) = Gentiles
Humans = Sinners
Nobles = Pharisees
Darcia = Satan
Paradise = Heaven
IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW...
Not really since I haven't finished watching the series but still IT MAKES MORE SENSE NOW! :3
cool i didnt look in to it like that
hahahahahahhahahaha Dacria as the Morning Star????? Then what was Hamona? And the rest of the characters for that matter? It's an interesting gap your trying to fill with religion but it does not apply to this anime one bit.. Better off grabbing some vegetables out of the fridge and watching DBZ
Legato Bluesummers The term "loosely based" eludes you. During their discussion of Cheza in the lab: "What evidence is there tha..." "None. Many things exist that can't be explained by scientific proof simply due to a lack of evidence. Cheza herself is the crowning achievement of an alchemy that cannot be proved" - Cher (Episode 1) Again, Wolf's Rain pulled much inspiration and plot from theologian history. Their characters are so loosely based on people from the Christian gospel that a fool could see it.
Oh sure, just completely forget the fact this whole song continuously says "heaven's not enough". If anything, I feel the anime disregards all religion and every other common human belief because that is what reduced it to ruin; misconceptions and pure rivalry forcing a wedge in society.
Of course people would think "oh, meaningful anime; can't explain it, must be religion." Pfft. Also, it's hilarious that anyone would compare an anime centred around absolute destruction to religion - that's one thing that's right anyway.
This anime looks sad as sh*t...I don't want to watch to watch it now...
One of the most saddest endings in anime history! Beautiful story and art work.
this anime sucks but it sucks cause is so fucking amazing ok that doesnt make any sense
But I mean c'mon only 30 episodes, fucking naruto has 10 times that of filler episodes...
That's because narotu is trash. Quality shows don't need to pander to the audience and they know how to condense a story.
Please don't drag down this show by comparing it to other series that only looks to squeeze every last dollar from it's childish audience.
This series wasn't a cash grab like Naruto, so it's pure excellence instead of pure crap, no offense to the Naruto fans, but by comparison it's trash.

Kris Frost I agree with you, and your comment ending actually made me laugh. :)
Thats probably because I had the patience to read the comment till the end and didn't skip the middle part.
I just read and sometimes write Naruto Fanfictions. but in my opinion, the anime sucks.
The ending of wolfs rain made me all teary this is pretty great.
this song was one of my favorites. Even though its sad, its beautiful. I'm glad I grew up to the 90's to have such an amazing shows. This show was one of them.

Still one of my favorites after so long. ♥️
Very deep song, with a well made video, i love wolves rain the most memorable finale in any series i seen in a while
I started to cry because this is the best song and anime ever.
And they go together beautifly
I'm rewatching this series! It's been years but this song brings back all of the memories! I have chills listening to this. Very well done!
Wolf's rain is truly beautiful and captures the image of the wolfs. Wolf's rain is by far the most awesome anime ever created.
They say there's no such place... as Paradise. Even if you search to the ends of the Earth, there's nothing there. No matter how far you walk, it's always the same road. It just goes on and on. But, in spite of that... Why am I so driven to find it? A voice calls to me... It says, "Search for Paradise."
You won't regret it. I bought the whole series back when I was 13 and I couldn't stop watching it. It's a very deep show and you can't help being drawn to it. I'm 19 now and I still watch it once a year or so. :D
oh it's deeply touching..wonderful... I loved this story and its characters so much... the best anime (if we can call it so) ever.. a masterpiece!
