Fiji is EXCELLENT! I flew them in Business Class from LAX-NAN-LAX back in 2017 on the A330 BEFORE they started flying the A350. The A350 looks more like a FULL ON Business Class Cabin compared to the A330 which felt a bit more like a Premium Economy/Business Class hybrid, but which was ok. 👍🌺
The A350 has definitely lifted the experience. I flew the A330 on the way back to NAN and it's definitely a previous generation business class seat. Thank you for watching :)

What’s the transit like in Nadi? We are doing this flight in September only from Melbourne not Sydney and our transit time is a little over an hour. Do you just get off and then get on again? Or do you have to clear transit screening (like you do in Auckland when flying to LAX from Aus)
You have to do transit screening like in AKL. One hour should be enough assuming no major delays from Melbourne. They know that the flights from Australia will feed the flights going on to USA, so it doesn't make sense for them to leave without so many passengers. I'm not sure what aircraft Melbourne gets, but in my case I had the same plane from from Nadi as I did from Sydney. So even though we left late from Syd, there was no risk of missing the LAX flight. Enjoy your trip!
You should always fly Fiji Airways. One of the best performing airlines coming out of a small Pacific Island country.

oooh I'm not sure it'll be as good as AF (and catering out of LAX isn't as good as other locations) but it'll definitely be a comfortable trip to Aus.

That breakfast looks good. Hate landing in the morning knowing it's a couple of hours before a decent feed.

Fiji Airways, the only time I have asked for a "DOWN GRADE" from Biz when I checked in
Why?
There business class needs sliding doors for privacy.
Why ?..there is absolute privacy, as no business class passenger can see another due to the reverse herring bone layout
