We are back this week with a room makeover!! This is the second bedroom in our apartment and this is going to serve as our office/studio/guest bedroom. So it has to serve multiple purposes and also be renter-friendly. But that doesn’t mean we have to play it safe! I have some big plans for this room and some DIYs I wanna try like a bold red paint and removable picture frame moulding! What do ya think of this makeover?!

The red and the blue/green go together so well, its amazing how the human body naturally gravitate to those two colors
If you had suggested burgandy and teal together I would've said NO WAY! But it's a stunning color combination!!!

This is probably my FAVORITE room transformation you've done so far - absolutely knocked it out of the park!
Although it is an extra step, painting the wall black first, then the burgundy on top gives a really beautiful color. All red paint is translucent and can have a link cast without the black underneath. Just a thought.
Also a lot of the paint they mix in the store uses a white base _(I hate that tbf)_

I suggest adding a Murphy bed to the closet if you don’t need that storage space
You might find one dark wall is enough. Danie did a bedroom dark and moody a green with a wine. After a year people who spent time in the room said it was too dark. You do have more light so that might help. I love dark and moody so I will be excited what you do.
Yes! I did one dark wall in my old bedroom and it was enough for that moody vibe while still being light, and so far in here I’m loving it!! 👌🏼

I love it!🖤 Just the right balance. Right now DIY Danie is redoing her very Dark Academia extra bedroom; it was too dark. She's also opening it up by getting rid of the closet🖤
Danie also only had 1 window. Where as Tina has a huge window wall
This is not a look I would choose for myself. But it amazes me how you bring different wood tones, dark colors and all the things you do, and create an absolutely beautiful space!! Love it!❤

The room looks great! It probably won’t matter in your case, since your landlord will probably make you paint it back before you leave, but for others who are trying not to have to repaint the wall when the trim is removed, the paint needs to cure for at least a full 30 days before Command strips can be safely applied.
Tina you should paint the outlet covers to match the wall, they would look nice.

Although that wall looks amazing and is so different, but looks so good I have to say I was kind of a little disappointed when you showed the whole room, we didn’t see the desk, or the rug or the curtains, which just kind of saw that wall the floor lamp and back and that’s it so I didn’t get to see what the curtains look like with the room or with the desk in the rug look like with the room I’m telling you you need to reshoot the ending and show us the whole room😉😉😉❣️

I love the colours and the wood pieces. Do you have plans to do something with the grey cupboard door? Perhaps faux wood or a screenprinted picture to create an almost trompe-l'oeil effect? On a practical note I have a magnetic tool organiser that you wear on your wrist, load it up with screws & you don't need to go back down the ladder repeatedly 😊

Have you ever thought of making a murphy bed for your room ? There are several styles that would look nice for your room . Some look like a nice cabinet . I know you could make a really nice one . Just think about it .
