  • Amana Dryer (NED4700YQ0) is not heating up.
Tumble still turns, buttons actuate, and timer dial works.
Buy the following package which has all the parts needed to replace. A number of videos will tell you just replace one. If you are called out you don't want to have to return to do it again or an owner to replace another part to pull out.

Video shows how to replace and test each of the following:
    High limit thermostat
    Thermal fuse
    Cycling Thermostat
    Thermal Cut-off Switch
    Heating Element

Thanks brother I just fixed my amana dryer by ordering and replacing the parts you suggested. Best $30 ever spent.

I found it much easier to unplug the wires first, then drop down the element to remove the thermostat.

Re: the thermal fuse and cycling thermostat, the dryer I'm trying to help fix has the wires already removed. In installing those, how do I know which of the blue wires goes to which prong? The blue wires aren't marked. Same with the purple. I will double-check but I didn't even notice the white lettering on one of the wires. So is there a diagram that says which wire, coming from which source, goes onto which prong? Thanks

      Sorry to hear this.
I would check all the pictures you took before disconnecting parts to ensure you placed the new parts back in as it was originally.
If you don't have a mm I would just send back the new parts and have the supplier send you a new set.
I tried to make a video since most people don't own a multimeter to fix their dryer.
If you do have a multimeter you can always compare the readings to the parts you removed as I showed in the video.

@@HangryAngler yeah I tested everything with a meter and all the parts were good. I tried every way you could hook the wires up and nothing so screw it. God takes no breaks on me.

Throw parts at it til ya find out why? Diagnostics? Could be timer. Could be switch in motor. Just sayin

Obviously you didn’t read the caption or listen to the entire video.
If you know so much, why are you watching my video?
