Good music and good picture, I love Kyoto in winter. Of course it's really cold, but not crowded than the other season. It's worth of visiting. Thanks for sharing this video!
Kinkagu-ji looks like a paradise all year round, but in winter it's out of this world. This melody is absolutely something special...typical japanese sad music..
As a fan of bands like Eisenfunk, Marilyn Manson, Cradle of Filth, Disturbed, and many other metal/industrial bands, I find this music to be beautiful and know of many metalheads who enjoy peaceful or classical music as well. I don't know who would dislike this music, but I'm sure it just wasn't some "freakin' stupids who wants metal." I and many others can like both something heavy and something relaxing; listening to several genres brings much more beauty to life.
Not really traditional japanese, but a very nice soft and relaxing piano play piece, with flute and harp, great. Somebody told me once, if you hear japanese music, you need to hear the silence.. so true..
The piano music is beautiful. Why can't people just enjoy the beauty instead of poisoning it with their minds which are filled with unrelated political and environmental realities.
It's like I'm standing on a wind-blown plain, barely seeing the landscape through the curtains of snow. Every few moments, the snow swirls in new patterns, revealing slivers of the land beyond. In other words, the East coast only got an inch or so of snow where I live and I'm deprived. (:
yea i got to agree by alot on that, a water fall surrounded by trees and cherry blossoms, one things for sure is that china and japan has one of the beautifullest natures and will always have, really want to go back there and move there
Well Japan is most known for it's harmony. In Japan they are very nice and humble. Now I'm not saying all people in Japan are like that because of course there is people that are violent, greedy, envious, etc, in any part of the world. You won't find "plenty of of violence and hate there". Currently Japan's crime and or murder rate is the lower that any first world country. Also why would you say there is so much hate? Give me one good reason.
I was wondering what song fit me. Not just for melody, but the way it speaks to me. It's strange to everyone else, but i don't really listen to music. I converse with it. Each time i listen, a figure or image shows itself to me in my mind and we talk or i explore. For some reason, Japanese music has the clearest voice for me.
It's.. hard looking at the radiation maps of Japan and listening to this at the same time, seeing how much is lost and had to be abandon because of nuclear power. It shows that no matter how much humans hope to gain it can be destroyed in a instance, Japan knows this the most I bet. Boshin wars ending the Samurai way, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, now the radiation.
With how important nuclear power has been for Japan they knew the risks and sadly they had to deal with them but they are resilient and will recover from this just like everything else. There's still plenty of beauty left in the country that remains such as the temple pictured in the video 金閣寺 (golden pavillion temple)
Today I was with my 3 grandchildren - I entered an aura of tranquility when I looked into the eyes, of my 6 year old grandson, my 3 year old grandaighter joined us as if to offer me another depth of this aura, to transport me to somewhere I have never been, then I looked down and looked into the eyes of my one year old grandaughter. Japanese music seems so endless and accompanies me in this metaphysical existance. In India we do not not have this dimension of music. But I have two Japanese
Très douce, et agréable à écouter cette musique nous embarque si loin, dans des rêves qui nous poussent à penser que nous sommes importants pour les autres.
God, I love the sound of flutes. There's just something about them... Actually, I like a lot of instruments. The Piano, Strings, and Woodwind are up there in my list of favourite instruments. I suppose that it's the range of emotions that can be conveyed through those instruments. Funnily enough, this song contains all of these (guitars (or any other guitar-sounding instrument, the koto, for instance) may not be in the orchestra, but the rule still applies, I think) in the one song. Beautiful.
Me too ^-^ I liked Tayuya with her flute too, but she kinda died so now I'm stickin' with Gaara. Anyways, we shouldn't be starting a conversation/argument about Naruto by commenting on this video - kinda ruining the experience for everyone else xD
@PurpleHazePanamaRed Indeed - the golden temple. Beautiful, isn't it? Not because it's gold, simply esoteric. I visited the Imperial Gardens in Kyoto in 1997 and was set upon by several groups of Japanese school children wanting to interview me in English! Not quite the meditative experience I was hoping for! But lovely, all the same.
They probably think it sounds boring. When I was a kid, I thought classical music was boring but now I love listening to Mozart. The only kind of music that's really boring to me is most of country music. But I like Johnny Cash.
you know there is a creature ghost type of one called Yuki Onna its a only female ghost the legand is that if they die with not only hate or in a very horrific way but IN THE SNOW they become one that haunts men and women in blizards not only that they are so powerful too :D and pretty I bet they are perfect for this song :D
This is played by Masakazu Yoshizawa, and is a part of the album called 'Zen Garden', in case anyone was interested ^^
This music, it makes me want to paint, ponder, and stay calm forever. It reminds me why I love being alive and what I love in general.
This is possibly the best quote ever, along with Gandhi's "Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Such smoothing music...Japan seems such a wonderful country full of harmony and culture.
I lost count of how many times I've listened to this. It's so beautiful.
Fuck......
Alaa Khateb Yupp..
Oh! music in which depth of peace you bring. may the world be peaceful like you.

It could be said that the music is a mix of the old and the new Japanese styles.

This building is the Golden Pavilion, which is a Buddhist temple. It is located in Kyoto (the second capital of Japan in history).
The piano music is beautiful. Why can't people just enjoy the beauty instead of poisoning it with their minds which are filled with unrelated political and environmental realities.

Apart from the large portion during Japans complete isolation in an attempt to prevent the Chinese influence.

Asia has the most beautiful music and art. china and japan are the two most beautiful places, especially the forest with water falls.
Oh, I haven't heard this song in a long time! I love the CD this song is from!
